Hiya Tigger.
Thank goodness I've no school on Tuesday. I really need the credits. I haven't played Friendly Pirates with you guys in sooo long!
But it isn't definite because I'm not sure if I'm doing something, but I know I'll probably be able to catch some games.

Okay everyone, less than 24hrs till the Toes.Day "Friendly" Pirate Day Marathon I know I will definitely be on ALL day and night, so as soon as I get my NPC credits when VMK opens I will announce which POTC Lobby I will be in.

Hoping to see a lot of familiar faces, friends, and looking forward to meeting lots of new people

Been gone from vmk and the boards for awhile but I am back and just in time for friendly pirates hehe.
It's so sad that the only way I can play pirates is the friendly version but since I can't get good credits from HM anymore *sigh* I am in for Pirates attleast I can get some pretty keys and some credits
So if it's ok can I please join in? I haven't played Friendly Pirates in a long time so I am excited to meet everyone!.

I would love to do this. I am only level one though. Maybe someone new will play and we can level up together?

I would glady play a lower level to help you level up!

I'll definately be there. After Friday's emergency magic shopping and getting my salad magic today I am left with a pathetic 37 credits.

Lol I hear you there..after a rush to buy some leftovers (furnish and magic)friday before the month ended I spent like my whole savings and then sadly on my main I had just enough credits to buy another magic table and then I looked down to see my balance on my account 1 shamefull credit . I nearly fell off my chair laughing but then after I stopped laughing I came to realization that I don't think I have ever been so poor on vmk well attleast since I was a newbie and ofcourse to my suprise vmk decides to have 1 day only sales on pins and I have no credits and this weekend the lag was so bad I couldn't even play some mansion so sadly I had to make some quick credits from my music over and over again and lots of JC ..ok well anyways I would love to join in tomorrow. I might be able to get on in the morning right after opening depending if I am busy in the morning or not. I will however be on the night crew. I have meetings and sewing group tomorrow afternoon so I won't probably be home till 5:30-6pm Eastern time and I am not sure how long it will take me till I can manage to get on after that but I will def be on sometime in the evening/night.

Sign me up too! I'm off an on (mostly on) all day. The only thing is I'm new to VMK so I'm not at all good at pirates. Also, could some one explain how friendly pirates works? Thanks!

short version: two teams who know each other and know the plan, wait for all to be on same dock before opening the game to eliminate need for soggy boots. One person designated to get the flag on each team with fast boat, others with standard (more credits). DON'T shoot the flag boat. Alternate wins in rounds, as well as alternating wins in games. Don't cross home until double checking the other team has their flag on board. Patience for those who are eagerly learning, and forgiveness for the occasional mistake.
For those who are easily confused or frustrated, find a team that doesn't shoot at all. Rest assured, even princesses can be converted with time.

I'll be on in the afternoon with cannons loaded.

Just a word of caution in today's games.

There are so many of us that will be playing today, if you cannot get into a game, rest assured another will be availablet that will be playing friendly.

Also, don't feel bad if you cannot be included in a group, some of us cannot handle four on four games, we either DC or have terrible lag. I know a lot of younger players may get their feelings hurt if they get the boot.

I'm just going to be the meanie and come right out and state it. I have a pre-arranged game for the first hour of VMK today... players are already in place for both teams. I will be booting. I do not want to be made to feel guilty for my decision. There will be plenty of DIS games going on all day today....and this pre-arranged game is only for the first hour.

Just a word of advice for today. Please ASK before just joining up in a DIS game.... it makes it VERY awkward when you just jump into a game that already has 6-8 DIS players that have been playing together.
