Thumbs up for the Dining Plan

We really enjoyed eating through our vacation. We paid $400 for the dining plan and enjoyed approx. $680 worth of food. Yummy!!

Here's where we ate:

Sci Fi Dine In -- I was kind of skeptical since I've heard a lot of bad reviews,but it was really pretty good

Whispering Canyon Cafe -- Best Meal on our Trip

ABC Commissary
Pizzafari -- I had the Italian sandwich, very good

I can honestly say everything we ate was very good. The only place I didn't care for was CP. It was beautiful and the character interaction was great, but I definitelty wouldn't return for the food.

Thanks for this. My dh is not happy that I am getting the dining plan, but I am glad to see that it paid off. We are also eating at Whipsering Canyon and I cannot wait, how was the waiter interaction there for you? I REALLY want the boys to get a kick out of this place but I heard "entertainment" is spotty.

WCC was great!! I was the only one in our party of 7 that knew what this place was ahead of time, so no one really had any expectations. Our waiter was great!! He was so much fun. Even my sort of stiff and sometimes too serious BIL, says this was the best place we ate. He was really getting into it by the time we left. Our boys did the pony stick races and had a blast with the ketchup.

Our group of 8 will be on Dining Plan in May 06. I was looking over some menus in advance. Looks like the Liberty Tree Tavern has a good hearty buffet. But, the Dining Plan info indicates that it's available for lunch only, but there is a dinner menu. Can we use the Dining Plan for dinner there?

Yes I believe you can use the dining plan for any meal that has TS. As long as it is on the list that takes the plan which LTT does you can use it. Here is the chart of all the places that take the plan and if there is a 2 you need 2 TS credits and if there are a fork and knife you only need one TS

Disney Pap - Liberty Tree Tavern has character dinner which is served family style with a set price. The lunch is off of a menu. You can use the dining plan for either one - they are both TS meals.

We used the dining plan for LTT at dinner. It was pretty tasty! Good character interaction. Just a note, though, it is not a traditional buffet. It is all you can eat served family style. They brought us a platter of meats and bowls of mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy and a basket of bread. Even dessert, which was really good, was brought in one big bowl and you serve yourself.
