Thrilled about upgrade

I cancelled our trip to Disney at Christmas last week for personal reasons (Didn't think we could afford it). We usually stay at Pop Century. My dd13 was really broken hearted, so I called Disney 2 days ago and made some changes to a new reservation that would save us some money. I was thrilled to hear that I was eligible for an upgrade to CBR. It was actually cheaper to stay at CBR than at Pop.

How did you get the upgrade?

It just popped up in the computer when I called to book my reservation. The Disney worker on the line was just as excited as I was.

Part of it may be that Christmas week is the MOST expensive week of the year. It is $179 per night in a preferred room Dec 23 - Jan 1.

During value season, a CBR Standard room is only $159 per night.

Those are also both full price rates. Often there are no discounts Xmas week, but plenty of them during other times of year.

Then again, perhaps you did get a special offer!
