Thrifty or Dollar rental?

Is there a big difference in service, location, or performance? First time renting a car for us. We're using points to do it for free and there's a huge discount on a full size car with both companies. Just looking for feedback from people that have used either company. Thanks!

We have used both in the past. Both have service and cars at the airport which is nice. For us, it is which one has the better price. Have not seen and noticed any differance in service or cars.

I went to Nashville in Aug and at 8:00 in the morning Dollar had no cars on the lot. So they told to take anyone I wanted from Thrifty.

I've used Thrifty a few times at MCO and had no problems. I am using them this trip as I found a full size for 8 days (Jan 11-18) using promo code 5C11M for $145. Prices went up drastically just at Christmas. Dollar, Thrifty and Hertz are all the same company and all have service at the airport. Good luck and have fun.

I registered Blue Chip for Thrifty and was able to bypass the counter. I exited the building near the counter, walked across the street to the parkade. There was a sign above the booth with my last name, row/number of a vehicle reserved for me. On the dash was a packet and note if I was not happy with the vehicle to go to the attendant.

I was on my way in about 10 minutes of leaving the terminal. I paid the similar price, 8.2 days.
