Three weeks to go..I'm starting to freak!!

Hey all,
I am three weeks away from my land/sea trip and I have some questions...still!! We will be staying at the Poly for three days before the Wonder. Will it be at the Poly that all my cruise docs will be looked at (passports,birth certif. ect)? I read in my docs that we are to put our luggage in the hallway the night before check out (I have already posted about this...it makes me a little uneasy) and then we don't have to worry about the luggage until it shows up in our stateroom...is that how it works? Also, I purchased the transfers with my package and noticed that the Poly people will be picked up around 12:15 by the DCL bus and delivered to port. I have read that the trip from resorts to port is around 90 minutes(?). This seems like it will make us one of the last people to board the ship. I really want to be on the ship early not just to make ressies but for the experience. Would we (DH,me,DS12,DD11) be able to go to another resort location that is being picked up early(provided the bus wasn't fill)? What would you experts do? Now I am starting to regret buying the transfers.

Hi there, let me try to help.

1) When you check in at the Poly that will be the ONLY check in for your entire land/sea package. They will look at al your documents there and your Key to the World Card (room key) will be the SAME for both your land and sea portion of your trip.

2) Yes, you do put your bags out for transfer to the ports for you...I thought you did that the MORNING of the cruise, not the night before (you put them out the night before once you're on the cruise and it's the final night) but would have to check to be sure on that.

3) The trip to the port is nowhere near 90 minutes. It's about an hour.

4) The Poly pick-up is only about 45 minutes later than the earliest pick-up and it's not worth the hassle to try and get to another resort with your bags. If you really do want to be at the port early you can always cancel your transfers (yes, you can do it this late) and book a town car service on your own. IF YOU DO THIS, though, you lose the luggage transfer part of your transfers as well so you would need to pick up your own bags at the airport (do NOT put the bag tags on them before leaving) and transport them to the resort and the port with you.

I'll stick with the transfers and just hit the parks until port pickup. I really don't know what I am going to do with my spare time after this trip is over. Planning this all out has taken every minute of my spare (and work)time.LOL.

Have I finally found someone going on the Wonder at the same time as us? We are going from 9/15-9/18 (land) 9/19-9/22 (sea). This is our family's first cruise. We were suppose to stay at CBR - BUT - we got upgraded to the Poly . Think were excited?
Anyway, just glad to see another land/sea combo person out there!
