Three Things...Gratitude Thread

This is a salt cedar.. only plant other than blooming palm tree 🌴 🌴 🌴 that provides abundant pollen and at that year round... invasive species that threatens Colorado River native species ... this one is the depth and height of a Amazon van....I am grateful for the abundance of birds....and also acts a tool shed for 3 dogs 🐕 🐕🐕

Good Monday Morning!

I missed Indiana day, which is my state. It’s a good state to live in. I don’t want to die here, but I can’t complain about it to much after being here my whole life. I’m just tired of the winters.
Well..... winter visitor housing is inexpensive here in Yuma....more offerings than buyers..... Yuma is a very inexpensive place to live and modern medical complex all up down the Yuma 1-8.... good airport....and the Catholic Church in our retirement community....is probably larger than yours....and I would venture...more beautiful.... judging that on Salem Oregon Catholic buildings....I should do that... take a picture of the mediative courtyard that borders NATURE...there having a rummage sale and the free pile is s huge.... I look for blankets and such in the free pile for a mission in Mexico....so I will stop and snap a photo of were peace and war border each other

Morning all,

1. Animals - i love all kinds of animals and love seeing them out and about in their natural habitats.

2. Sunshine & clear blue skies - even if it's cold, you can't beat a beautiful clear day no matter where you are.

3. The coast & sea - while i don't like actually going in the water, I still adore being at the seaside and near the coast. Find it so peaceful and relaxing.

Where WILD NATURE meets faith.... following the desert to your right will reach you to Mexico... unless inflarred scope catches you and you are picked up for trespassing on the Barry Goldwater bombing.... gravel parking lot separates desert from massive faith complex

Good Tuesday Morning!

#1 - MY FIRST WDW TRIP - I’m grateful that my parents took me to WDW in 1976, when I was 5 years old. I don’t remember the trip, but I know it started my love for WDW.

#2 - MY MINNIE EARS - I never thought I’d be someone who would wear these, but I’ve grown to love them and I’m grateful for that. They are a part of my daily WDW outfits and when I look at them at home, they are filled with wonderful memories of the day I worn them. I’m currently trying to decide which new ears I need to buy for our next trip.

#3 - DISNEY INFLUENCERS - I know many don’t like them, but I’m very grateful for the ones I watch - they keep me updated on WDW news and I love that. They also take me into places I may never get to see - like Disney ships and parks outside of this country. The ones I watch are great!

Donald Duck!!!!! - I said it on Slo's daily poll and I stand by it. I am not a big fan of Mickey Mouse, but I LOVE 😍Donald Duck!!! I believe there was even a decent stretch in the earlier days of Disney where he was the more popular of the two. Not that popularity is everything, but I think there's a more realistic angle of Donald's personality that resonated with a lot of people. He gets angry, he gets jealous, he's passionate and emotional. When it comes to anthropomorphic animals, he sort of validates a lot of us by showing that our shortcomings...while not necessarily to be fostered, are normal.

The Parks - I think part of why so many of us fall in love with them is that they are so much more than amusement parks with rides. They have so much depth of experience and are such an excellent place for celebratory occasions that they've become places of deep and special memories for millions. From all of the "firsts," to special restaurants, favorite fireworks/nighttime shows or parades, all of the little and big moments of pixie dust, to the really special things like maybe Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or runDisney events...it's just so much more than going to an amusement park.

The Movies - We wouldn't have much of any of this without the movies...especially the Walt era ones and the ones tied to the Disney Renaissance. So many of them still provide great entertainment to this day, often transporting us to a happy place...especially when things may seem a bit dark.

Rainbow ridge....1964... mine train travel high above the live 🦫 🦫 🦫... fishing 🐻 🐻 🐻 🐻...and moose 🫎 🫎 🫎 lifting there head out of the water.. animals seen on TV but not out my California desert 🏜️ 🏜️ door.... just live reptile creatures
