Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Afternoon all,

1. Streaming music - while i do have some fond memories of making mix tapes and CDs, you can't beat having a world of music at your fingertips no matter what you want to listen to whether you're at home, in the car or out and about. And having something like Shazam to help you identify songs while out and about too.

2. Online shopping - like Slo I'm hooked on this too. I spend far too much money online!

3. Information - agree with WLWILDLIFE on this. Having an endless supply of information available to you at any time, no matter the question or what you need. It certainly helps with staying informed.

Learning how to do things thanks to YouTube videos
Looking up things finding information and finding things I have forgotten what the heck they were called because I’m old so I can look them up on the Internet

Remote work - While I'm in the real office today (bumped us up to twice a month), I am thankful that the internet gives me the opportunity to work remotely from home most days.

Streaming live sporting events - We live in TX and travel all over for DD16s softball. My parents would love to see it all but can't follow us around for everything. Through various internet based services and products, they can usually watch DD from the comfort of their living room.

Banking/Payment - While it's not as secure as it was pre-internet, mobile banking and payment options have made the world a much more convenient place.

Definitely seconding some other people's answers here, but...

GPS - It has totally changed my confidence driving places!
Looking things up - facts I can't remember, YouTube How-To Videos, books I want to check out of the library...
And of course, the DIS! - I love having online friends to chat with, and appreciate everyone who participates in great threads like this one.

All information-based sites: wikis, google searches, IMDB, YouTube, etc. (not completely trusting the AI info that pops up sometimes. I have found a few errors lately)

Online shopping, very hard to resist! (but so attractive for this homebody)

FB and the DIS for such a variety of social interactions!

#1 - WHITE (with a few areas of grey) - Our sweet & crazy Otis. I don’t know who needed who more. He’s brought us more joy than I could have ever expected.



#2 - ORANGE - All my jack o lanterns (I have lots and lots). My DH made that tower for me and it lights up. The scarecrow guy is fiber optic. I love light up decorations that plug in and I set on a timer



#3 - YELLOW - Dole Whip Floats (picture from 2021). So Good!

White - my white lab - crazy in a fun way you know he’s a lab lovable dangerous because he’s a klutz but only to me and my furniture especially when he gets his Zoomies

Orange - my Halloween sweatshirts - I have three and I enjoy wearing them I’m very thankful for them they’re hard to find shockingly

Yellow - I will second door whips those things are absolutely delicious and I’m very grateful for them

White - my white socks -- so grateful to have a clean pair to wear every day;
Orange - orange juice - have to have my OJ every morning;
Yellow - mustard - can't imagine a hot dog without mustard.

White- With long walks, long gym sessions, and long days of work...I need music. I have a first generation pair of AirPods that I'm still using. They aren't perfect, but they work and they're white. They keep me entertained and moving for hours and house.

Orange- I walk a lot and go through shoes like crazy ...which means always having at least two pairs in rotation. Several weeks ago, I shared that I got a highlighter orange (and black) pair of running shoes. Well, the violet ones I got back in August finally needed replacing, so I got a pair of lighter orange ones (on SALE!!!) yesterday.

Yellow- I love yellow. My office is bright yellow, I just got a bright yellow long sleeved top that I really like, but I think my current yellow gratitude goes to my new plaid shacket (more of a hoodie style) that just happens to be a yellow plaid. Warm and cute! Plus it feels like I'm channeling 90s me
