Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Quiet as in peace and quiet. God willing when I am home again I will never take a quiet living space for granted again.

I prefer cold white bread with American cheese but quesadillas (very simple flour tortilla and a little mozzerella cheese) are tasty.

I have a friend that's a talented quilt maker. I don't even sew a button! A warm quilt (I'm cold) would be great right now.

Quadruple Lutz... I have no idea what it is or the mechanics.. the TV announcers get all excited about it during the competition. A international event is happening in Boston and last night for the first time in 20 years an American woman won....she was doing her routine to the music of MacArthur Park... and that is why I watch , snuggled in my quilt outside and listen..how the skater takes a recognizable music selection and turns it into ballet and yelling at the analyst... QUIET 🤫 🤫 I can't hear the music

Today Lilia and Yuma do their thing... Yuma has been doing well all year and if ken Jennings quizzes about Japan male skater... I have the answer

QUIET Time ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Definitely Quilts I still have some that my great grandmother made and I’m no spring chicken 🐓 they’re not fancy but they are very meaningful to me I believe they would be called crazy quilts

Quarters - I always was grateful to have quarters he used to always need them for the laundromat for tolls back in the day you always needed quarters so we used to hoard those things because you always needed them very grateful for quarters I still hoard them🤣🤣🤣

Teriyaki chicken/beef
Toasted almond ice cream bars. They are just like the chocolate eclair and strawberry shortcake bars, but i MUCH prefer the toasted almond bars!
Dinner at Ohana! (ok not sure how they do it now, but they used to serve the food from huge skewers)
Sadly, not how they do it now. We were disappointed in this a few weeks ago, along with other things. Unfortunately, we won’t be back for dinner, but always for breakfast

Happy Saturday!

Quiet for me too - love it!

Quadricep muscles - I always work mine out to keep them strong

Quitting time - it’s always nice when it’s quitting time at work (I do love my job, but love going home more)

Crazy quilts follow no pattern because they were made of scrap material and not yardage... did she put spider 🕸️ 🕸️ 🕸️ in her seams... that thread pattern and silk fragments are the most valuable and more desirable today then the standard yardage quilts... more young folks fondle the crazy quilt fragments I have than the blocks

Tolls.....bear mountain bridge was the only toll I constantly had and my 1983 Ford escort had slots to insert quarters on the console... once back in Oregon... those slots were lonely .. I now use quarters to purchase water from the luxury shaded and paved water station... imagine a gas station

Quarters. We always took a mini m&m container of quarters to Disney so we could do pressed pennies. Some genius mother sold her daughter and nieces on the thought that a pressed penny was the best souvenir EVER from Disney World- and cheapest, at 51cents each! (DD still has her collection).

Quiddich! Because Harry Potter!

Quiche. I love quiche, and so do most of the folks in my house. I think bacon/asparagus/leek with swiss is my favorite right now.

I don’t know what the spider pattern is ??? I’ll have to Google it and get back to you 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Granddaughter sleepover last night, so I missed the stick category.

Love my chocolate frozen yogurt pops on a stick! I find I can eat less at dinner if I have something yummy, but not high in calories or sugar, for dessert.
These ribbons on a stick that I bought my DGD when I saw her play with them at preschool.
This is a stretch, but I love seeing a small dog with a big stick in his mouth. So cute!

Q
I collect quotations, so I have to include that.
Another vote for quiet. Flyingdumbo: I can so relate to appreciating the quiet at home. When I was in the hospital and they kept bothering me every few hours to take my vitals and everything else, I really missed being at home uninterrupted. I know those things were important, but I couldn’t help thinking sometimes that a good night’s sleep would also help me get better!
Another vote for quality. I was brought up with this value being driven into my head! Do it right, don’t settle, better to spend a little more for quality, etc. We were not well off, but my mom always bought quality shoes for us and other brand name products. We just had less and had to make everything last. (which quality usually does) :)
