Sesame Street- I loved it so much as a kid. We even used to get all of the albums from the library when I was a kid. I was so disappointed with the modern changes when my girls were little that I purchased the bulk of the Old School Sesame Street dvds. DD18s favorite is Cookie Monster and DD15 loves Ernie (like me).
Phineas and Ferb- This was one of the few kid shows that we all loved. It was written with enough embedded humor and older references that we all could sit down and be entertained. Loved how imaginative and creative it all was.
Saturday morning programming- From the Super Friends, Smurfs, and Thundaar the Barbarian to the things in between like Schoolhouse Rock and I Hanker for a Hunk of Cheese…really fond memories.
Lots of other great honorable mentions…321 Contact, Electric Company, Captain Kangaroo, Mr. Roger’s, The Jetsons (the old original ones), other classic cartoons that used to run regularly, The Magic Garden, Great Space Coaster, and Uncle Al from our Cincinnati years. I even loved coming home from school and having sitcom reruns deemed kid friendly for the after school audience.
