Inexpensive things...
I bought a long sleeved, button front gauze shirt for about $12 a few years ago. It is the perfect cover-up to take places where I know the air conditioning is going to make me chilly (grocery store, restaurants, etc.). It's also perfect for somewhat dressing up my every day "jeans and tees" look. I really like having it to throw on over whatever I'm wearing to make me feel more put-together.
I have a tubular pill sorter with 7 sections from Dollar Tree, so it cost $1.25. It's supposed to be for daily meds, but I use it for travel. Each section has some kind of OTC- tylenol, ibuprofen, meclizine, etc. It easily fits into any carry-on or suitcase and I can keep it stocked at all times, ready to go anywhere, anytime. I also use 2 sections of it to keep an emergency drug stash in my backpack.
My fiber optic Christmas tree. It's white, about 30" tall, and has fiber optics so the branch tips light up with different colored "lights." DH bought it for me in 2021, when I had covid over Christmas and was isolated for 10 days. It brought me much happiness, especially when I learned he got it online for $15!!
