Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Good Sunday Morning!

#1 - Mornings - I’m grateful, and know how blessed I am every day, that I woke up to another morning!

#2 - Mammoth Club - Molly and Allen on YouTube are so awesome. If you haven’t watched them, you should. They do a great job. DD20 and I watch them a lot together, which I’m grateful for that too.

#3 - MapQuest - I love Mapquest for directions, and to give me accurate information of how long it will take me to drive somewhere. I use it a lot, especially when DD20 was still playing travel softball.

Mutual Funds - I have worked for the same company for nearly 27 years. Things have changed a lot over time, but I’ve always been tied to the mutual funds side of the business.

Movies- It’s nice to sit down for a few hours and get lost in a story. While I love the convenience of a home movie night, going to a cool dark theater with some snacks and an icee is also a great getaway.

Mountains- A week ago, we drove home from Colorado. I didn’t want to leave. I love the mountains. While not the same, I’m looking forward to heading out west this week for some more softball since it means more mountains…both real ones and the Disneyland variety.

MMMMM

Making up for lost time...

Mum, definitely. 💕

Machines I'm in awe - when I stop to think about it - about all the ways machines create so much of what we take for granted.

Music, always music! :music: Also, musicals.

MInt, the plants, the scent and the flavour (how else would we have mint choc chip?! 😉)

Mexican food

Mustard Powder, for sandwiches (mixed with mayo), mac cheese etc..

My favourite mug.

Menus, because they mean someone else is cooking... and clearing up afterwards!! :cheer2:

Myself: grateful for every day I have been given

I love sharing my name with Mickey Mouse. (My favorite character and the genesis of so much joy, after all, it all started with a mouse!)

Music: It’s so important that I can’t even begin to list the many ways it has been pivotal in my life and essential for my well-being.

Gumi candy ❤️❤️❤️ absolutely love this stuff !!!! I can eat my weight in it !!!

Body Scrub - especially the one from Basin that’s my favorite with Bath & Body a close second

Toothpaste - greatest thing ever !! Cleans your teeth - plugs holes in your walls ( tiny nail holes ) cleans jewelry / helps with a bee sting 🐝 keeps mirrors from fogging / unscuffs your shoes / lots of things you can do with toothpaste !!!

Good Monday Morning

Just sayin….i love love love gummi worms! Love them! ❤️

#1 - PlayDoh - I have the best memories of playing with this as a child, and then playing with it with my girls.

#2 - Bananas - I’m very grateful for bananas, because I can eat it with my UC. The only other fruit that I can eat with limited concern is watermelon. All other fruits are a no no.

#3 - Gummi Bears or Worms - It’s my favorite candy for road trips, especially when I’m driving. Eating them gives me something to do when I’m driving and they can be left in the car without melting. I live relatively close to a major International Gummi Bear producer, so buying them super fresh is available to me every day.

Good Morning Friends,

Dear PollyannaMom:hug:and thank you for my extra morning smile of remembering preschoolers from 24 years ago who.loved gummy candy especially worms.

WDWEPCOT and Slo:hug:I am also grateful for toothpaste and fun memory of play doh too. Great answers :)

As a kid I enjoyed green Jell-O.

The dog- I don’t know why, but one of my nicknames for her is squishy. She’s such a good girl. She’s ridden this roller coaster with us for this last week and she was so amazing at adapting to our motel living days. Currently debating about having my older one skip CA and stay home with her. DD asked (for other reasons) and it might be nice for the dog not go back to boarding right after riding out the storm there.

Beds- I like a plush pillow top bed. Between a week in OK, 2 weeks in CO, staying in a LA motel for power/air conditioning, and upcoming weeks in CA…I’ve had very little time in my squishy bed of late. I didn’t even get a single full night’s sleep in it before seeking a safer space downstairs during the storm. With power restored, I’ve had 3 nights in my squishy bed. If only this darn PTSD would go away so I could sleep.

Stress balls- They don’t always help, but it’s nice having these squishy balls to help cut stress and face pain. I had my stitches removed last Friday and I could have really used one for the pain. I found myself trying to squeeze into the exam table cushioning.

You are certainly dealing with a lot! No wonder you are having trouble sleeping. Hoping your life gets closer to normal soon!

Stuffies: from my teddy bear to my DGD’s, they have been and continue to be a great source of comfort and security.

Another vote for Play-Doh. It is a great sensory experience all around; love the smell too!

Pillows, especially my inflatable one that I use for my back.

Squishy :jumping3:

When a kid, I had a big, squishy bean bag in my bedroom. I can't remember how much I actually sat on it (maybe a little, maybe a lot!), but I remember loving the novelty. Also, when working with kids those mini handheld bean bags have so many uses.

Play-Doh ...the texture, the Fun Factory and the smell, of course!!

Marzipan.
