RED things

The evening sky, when it's red - so pretty and with the promise of fine weather to come.

Tomatoes. How could we live without them?! ...Pizza, BBQ sauce, BLT, soup, baked beans, salads, bolognese etc. etc.

The car in which I learned to drive. (Which also makes me nostalgic for the town in which I learned.)

Today's Topic (Fri, 2/2) - 3 red things you're grateful for

My hubby's favorite color is red so all of his cars have always been red. Currently it's a red Prius. I'm thankful that gets great mileage as a hybrid.

Strawberries - my favorite fruit!

red wine. Love it.

the red Valentines Day decorations I have up
red Swedish Fish candy - my movie time favorite
my red lava lamp, which is just like the one I loved at my grandma's house when I was little

Red things:

Red meat. After having bariatric surgery, red meat is firmly on my "must eat" list, so I get enough iron and protein. I love roast beef, steaks, and lamb, so I am a happy camper!

Red velvet cake. I make a killer red velvet cake. It's so good, DD requested I make it for her wedding cake!

Fire engines- because who isn't grateful for the Fire Department and the hardworking, life-risking firefighters?

1. As a teenager, red was my favorite color to wear. I thought it looked good with my dark hair and eyes
2. St Louis Cardinals!
3. It's one of the main colors of our company logo and I'm very grateful to be working for the company that I work for!

My Savior Jesus! That He placed song in my heart and as soul I pray as a way of extra praise of along with communion and communication with Him.

Sunday worship. Sunday tomorrow, dad's birthday.

Slo, as always

Stories and the blessing of sight to both watch on tv and read them in books.

Sunrise and also Sunset each day are holy blessings that I am gifted.

Soup and sandwiches. Lol for plain eater me one soup and sandwich. Sugar cookies.

Spring my favorite season for Easter. Summer!

Stamps to attach to mail that I pray serves and witnesses God while spreading faith and a smile.

#1 - Softball - I know, I know…everyone sees me talk about this all the time. This sport has given my DD20 and us so much. I have lifelong friends because of this sport. I have cherished memories because of this sport. I have been in towns & cities that I would have never visited because of this sport. I can go on & on. My DD20s first game is in 2 weeks and I can hardly wait to see my girl continue playing the game she loves

#2 - Saints - Being Catholic, I enjoy learning about the Saints and praying to them to ask for their intercession when needed.

#3 - Sweets - I love sweets! I try to not eat much since I watch my calories, but when I do, I’m in sugar heaven

DD is SARAH- biggest and best "S" in my life, forever and always, because she is my dear one!

Silence. We are a busy, blended household of 3 generations and I love being home, in the peace and quiet, when everyone else is out and about!

Scotch... See "silence," above!!

Shellfish- all kinds, pretty much!

Stopping and smelling the roses. So-to-speak.

The sea. I know to most of you, it's the ocean, but here it's the sea. I love the expansive views disappearing over the horizon; the sea air; the colors; the sound and movement of the waves; even the squawking of the gulls! The whole energy, really.

1. My oldest DD's name begins with S - we just celebrated her 27th birthday last night!

2. Smiles!

3. Saturday and Sunday!!

1. DD15 and I are both S names, so I’m grateful for us. One of my maternal great grandfathers was my namesake, so gratitude for him also factors into this equation.

2. Syracuse University - While I still wonder what life would have been like had I gone with my second or third place acceptances, I felt such a connection with SU.

3. Softball - While I’m currently experiencing a bit of a love/hate relationship with it due to an out of left field (being “punny”) situation that’s come up, it’s nights like last night that remind me of how much it has brought to our lives. I’ll spare you the novel, but it’s fun seeing so many softball people that have impacted our lives over the years.
