Three Things...Gratitude Thread

I heard a very loud relentless chirping. I finally looked up and it was a Cardinal. I couldn’t believe my eyes - I swear it was my grandma telling me to stand up straight, stay strong and to not allow anyone to make you crumble. She was the strongest woman Ive ever known and she helped raise me with a firm hand and no whining was ever allowed. I loved her more than words can ever say and even after 18 years, I still miss her terribly. I often think back on the day at The Shrine and how I truly felt that my grandma was with me at that moment - it was an incredibly powerful moment. Thanks be to God for sending that cardinal at that exact moment - incredible ❤️
No doubt that God and your Grandma were speaking to you. Quite powerful as you stated.

As I have ventured from the DL planning threads I have often used the same statement as you did, "powerful" because there is such an outpouring of positivity and support here that I was not expecting.

The internet. Where would we have been during the worst of the pandemic without email and electronic communications?

Medical technology: Robotic surgery, patient-controlled anesthesia, etc.

My Nook. I've always had bad vision and it gets worse as I age. I'd gotten to the point where I could no longer read in bed. As much as I hated to give up books, my Nook makes it possible for me to tuck in and read every night and makes reading in general much easier.

I’m so glad you joined us here at The CB and this thread
We all start out at the planning forums and then end up here at The CB. I still go to some of the planning forums, but The CB is where my people and heart is ❤️

Good Morning!

How funny that your topic and my poll topic blend well together - we all know what my #1 will be :goodvibes

#1 - My Kindle/ereader - @leebee, I see you agree with me 🙂👍🏻

#2 - My Car - can’t get anywhere without :sad2:

#3 - My iPhone - it allows me to FaceTime DD20 so we can see each other without being together :goodvibes

I am also grateful to God He led you to join us SpaceMan :)

This thread! :) Internet in general.

Kindle is a wonderful way for me to read heavier or thicker books that I no longer enjoy physically holding or rereading a favorite kid's story :)

Online shopping extra today such a blessing.

I think mine will be similar to others:

1. My phone - where would we be without them!
2. My laptop - It is my life at work and I use it all the time at home too, to do all my online shopping!
3. Online banking - I love not having to write checks for everything to pay bills now!

Red things...

Raspberries
My new garnet earrings
The heart-shaped pillow that says "Yours Forever." DD bought it for me as a valentine's present when she was 8. It's bedraggled and pilly now, but it fits under my chin in just the right spot when I want to read in bed. She was too little to understand that it was a "boyfriend/girlfriend" type of gift; she just wanted it for me. 💖

Happy Tuesday!

Red is my favorite color - even my hair is red :goodvibes

#1 - I’m grateful for my thick & fluffy red winter robe.

#2 - I’m grateful my red Christmas sweaters that I’ll start wearing in December

#3 - I’m grateful for all my Christmas decorations that have red in them (I have a lot - red is everywhere you look right now - LOL)
