I am grateful that health and wholeness are returning for DH and me. He had an extensive shoulder injury in March which culminated 7 weeks ago with surgery. We are both healing well, and DH is actually ahead of the schedule.
I am grateful that DD, her husband, and his 7yo live with us. Yes, it's challenging to give up the privacy of our home but living together gives them the space and stability they need and the opportunity to build up their savings. It gives DH and me the extra support we've needed this year and I love having DD here all the time. I never expected to be "here" at this point in my life, but I am glad we are.
Everything else, the good, the bad, the ugly. I'm thankful that I've learned to take life as it comes, roll with the punches, dig down deep when it gets hard, and celebrate boisterously and thankfully. Of course I didn't get here on my own... I have family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances to thank for the support, guidance, and friendship that have helped get me here.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
