Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Today's Topic (Mon, 11/6) - 3 orange things you're grateful for
Many of my goldfish! The pond will be down for the winter on Wednesday… the fish stay in it, but it’s not as pretty with plants cut back or taken out and waterfall not running. Till next spring… how they looked this summer!

I’m grateful for health ins

I’m always and forever grateful for my friends ❤️

I handled myself well in a very difficult situation recently that was extremely stressful

I worked up the courage to ask for something instead of just being quiet

For reasons I’m not going to get into I do not look forward to the holidays so I am looking forward to those being over I hope everyone enjoys their holidays but I myself will be glad when they’re done

Grateful for: -
Friendly people
Fresh bread
Central heating

Done well lately: -
Blowdried/styled someone's hair for them.
I have simplified meal planning and it's making such a big difference.

Looking forward to...
Hopefully, getting out cycling sometime this week.

Quiet - reading and doing jigsaw puzzles
Loud - playing games with family
Amazing - the sheer variety of things to watch nowadays (TV, Streaming, YouTube, etc.)
I think we'd get along well! I'm going to second all your answers!!!
And add being outside in the fresh air - photographing, walking, pottering, exploring etc..
Happy Sunday!

Super quick answers - I gotta get my butt to the gym.

My answers are for this time of year

#1 - Pizza & Pajama Night every Sunday night

#2 - Working on my puzzle

#3 - Watching Friday Night Live (ResortTV1 on YouTube) on Friday nights
Ooh, pizza and pajama night sounds awesome. And I had forgotten about ResortTV1. Must remember. I want to check them out and get a bit of Disney Christmas magic with a slower pace than other vloggers (if I've got that right). More, kind of, stop and smell the roses. One day I shall get over to Disney when Christmas is there, too.

ORANGE things

Fresh OJ
Orange peppers
Worcester Sauce (well, the bottle label is orange!)

And, remember these?

3 things I'm grateful for:
My family
My friends
The heart monitor I am currently wearing-hopefully it will reveal whatever is going on with my ticker

2 things I've done well today:
Voted
Kept up on my hydration so far

1 thing I am looking forward to:
Going home tonight and sitting down on the couch to decompress a bit after I get out of work

I’m grateful for art - it’s a personal taste choice - everyone loves something different and that makes it awesome - always amazes me the talent to be able to produce e such beautiful things - paintings / sculptures etc
Where would we be without engineering? Im grateful for people who’s brains can look at something and figure out how it works and fix it or make it better - my brain doesn’t do that but I can balance your checkbook
Which leads me to math I can’t do complex math I’ll leave that to others but I’m grateful that I do enjoy math good things since I do most of it for a living I can balance your checkbook do your taxes things like that and what if I want to get really frustrated I’ll try to teach someone how to count back change🤣🤣🤣 or percentage off but item🤣🤣🤣 I really wish they teach that in school

Women in science! I am a scientist, although now I'm "just" teaching, and I love that half of the grad students/faculty are women. Brings a new perspective to everything.

Math- I was never very good at math, but when I was teaching in special ed, math was my area. I re-learned a LOT of basic math which really is helpful in everyday life. If you can do fractions/ratio/per cent (they are all the same thing, really) and solve a simple, one-variable equation (as in, if I need 2tsp of cinnamon for one batch of bread, how many do I need for 3 and how many tablespoons would that be- because THAT, my friends, is algebra!), you are set for most everyday math you might need.

Tech- where would we be without it? I refer to myself as techno-stupid and I don't have any kind of cell phone, but think about life without the internet!

Good Morning!

Sorry I missed yesterday.

#1 - I’m grateful for art - being a custom picture framer for 25years gave me a great appreciation for all types of art.

#2 - I’m grateful for that my DH is an engineer - the man can fix anything - he’s my MacGyver

#3 - I’m grateful for The Museum of Science & Industry in Chicago - I’ve spent my entire life going there often and taking our girls often. I’m hoping we have time to take DD20’s BF over Christmas break. It’s an amazing place that never gets old (and it is literally old)
