Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Animals . . .

Dogs, particularly pugs. I may be allergic but I am still a dog person at heart.

Rabbits. We have a lot of wild rabbits around and it makes me smile to see them hopping around and nibbling on the lawn.

Babies (puppies, kittens, seals, cubs, etc.). Nothing like a baby animal to pull at the heartstrings.

Definitely Disney of course ::MickeyMo

As a kid my favorite cartoons include The Smurfs, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, and later He-Man. Yes, non-violent for any reason me loved He-Man. I think I truly cared for Prince Adam who was He-Man. He had a good heart and like Clark Kent was a humble guy. Yes, he was handsome, too. Never much cared for the He-Man side.

Not a fan myself, but years ago I know a lot of school age children I was so blessed to love and learn from, teach, loved Sponge Bob. For them, that show will have a place in my memory.

Off topic reminder to please let me know by tomorrow if you would like me to order a postcard on Zazzle for you for my dad. Trying to make this easier on all so kind to contribute. Thank you, friends. As always, PM me if ever any of dear you would like a card or postcard of cheer from LA. you know it would bring me joy to send to you :)

Today's Topic (Sun, 10/29) - 3 things you're grateful for about the internet

...And why is today Internet Day? - I couldn't resist clicking to learn more about this one. Apparently, it celebrates the anniversary of the first internet message ever sent:
"October 29, 1969. Charley Kline, a young grad student on the UCLA campus attempts to send the first internet message to his colleague, Bill Duvall, at Stanford. They’re working on something called ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network), the U.S. Defense Department-funded network that connected four terminals installed at UCLA, Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, and the University of Utah."

Good Sunday Morning!

Quickie Answers today….

Saturday topic:

#1 - The old Playhouse Disney cartoons like Rolie Polie Olie, PB&J Otter, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and especially Bear in the Big Blue House (it’s not a cartoon, but I’m including it anyway) - I have wonderful memories of watching these with DD25 when she was an itty bitty girl.

#2 - Toy Story 2 - DD25 watched this so much that she wore out 1 VHS tape and we had to get another one. She ❤️Jessie so much!

#3 - Saturday morning cartoons when I was a kid, especially School House Rock - I can smell my mom’s different breakfasts that she’d be preparing while I’d be watching these.

Sunday topic:

#1 - Connections to people - people I know (like Facebook) and people that I dont know, but feel like I know (like The DIS and the RESORTTV1 chat) . I’m a people person, so connections to people are important to me.

#2 - Streaming Services - I’m not someone that watches a ton of TV, but when I do, I like having so many options. I especially love it when I’m on the elliptical, treadmill or bike, which is where I get my best movie or TV show watching done.

#3 - Google - Its awesome to have the answers to so many questions available 100% of the time. Plus it’s fun to say, “I’m going to Google it.” and yes, I do say that - LOL!

Connections absolutely! God has sure used this very thread and the Kindness thread on here for example to grace my life with so many kind people including all of you :grouphug:

I appreciate so much being able to watch online worship each Sunday from a friend's church.

Ability to order on Amazon, Walmart, and other websites.

Google, of course, is so handy, too.
