Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Happy November 1st Friends

#1 - I’m grateful for my pool - floating in it all day is my favorite stress reliever.

#2 - I’m grateful for my gym membership and my elliptical in the basement - I love working out because it is a great stress reliever for me along with keeping myself strong.

#3 - I’m grateful for my puzzles - I very much enjoy working on puzzles. I’m almost done with my most recent one. Once I’m done I glue it, and then it goes into a frame that hangs in my kitchen - I switch them with the seasons. Below ⬇️ is the Halloween one that’s in the frame now and the Autumn one that’s almost done.

Therapy - greatest thing ever !!

Xanax - awesome helping me sleep I take a baby dose nightly to shut my brain off otherwise it goes all night and I won’t sleep at all

Calm App - I love this app also helps me sleep - their bedtime stories are so relaxing 9 times out of ten I’m asleep before the story is finished

3 things I’m grateful for the relieve stress:
- the beauty of nature that surrounds our house. Sitting out on the porch and watching the birds
- driving in my car and singing loudly to my favorite songs
- exercise classes. I always feel better afterwards, even if it was a tough one.
I need to drive where you do it’s not relaxing driving where I’m at 🤣🤣 although I sing a lot !! I don’t care who sees me do it either I may be dancing some too !! Only when stopped in traffic which is frequently!!!

Stress relief: -

Looking up at the sky

Breathing patterns

Music

Fresh Air

And, I agree about jigsaw puzzles. I haven't done one for a while, but I have a White Mountain puzzle ready to go.

ETA: Yes, also to your appreciation for hugs, nature, exercise (especially walking and cycling for me) and playing games (except Monopoly! 🤣)

I'm a little behind...

Halloween: I am not a fan of the whole thing, so it's hard to think of things I'm grateful for, but I'll try!
DD's best friend was born on Halloween. Every year we'd take costumes over to the friend's home. The girls would get dressed and go out trick or treating, then come back for supper and birthday cake. It was fun, as the birthday girl's parents are our closest friends here- so everyone had a good Hallow-birthday!
Candy corn. I love candy corn.
Really creative costumes. We have a neighbor who goes all out helping with his kids' costumes. This year there was a full-sized, 4 legged giraffe. About 10 years ago one of the girls was a bureau- and that was awesome!

Stress relievers:
I love to drive. Give me a highway, open windows, and the radio and I'm good to go. In the winter I open the windows and crank the heat. I just drive away from it all and take a break.
The ocean- whether it's walking the beach or sitting on the rocks and watching the waves crash to the shore.
Reading or doing crossword puzzles... although you can put jigsaw puzzles in there, too.

November gratitude:
- the month that my mother was born.
- the quieting down of Fall, and the break between Halloween and Christmas.
- Thanksgiving and the focus it brings on being thankful.

I need to drive where you do
It’s mostly back roads, and sometimes can be stressful. But certain times when I’m alone on familiar roads, I’ll really let it loose. Off key and all 😂

#2 - I’m grateful for my Christmas decorations going up - I love the way our house looks at Christmas.

#3 - I’m grateful for Christmas music and Christmas commercials starting - I love them!
