Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Happy Tuesday DIS Friends

#1 - I’m grateful for my front porch - super peaceful as it overlooks a forest. We are also on a dead end, so the only cars are ours and our neighbors.

#2 - I’m grateful for my pool - my most relaxing days are spent floating in my pool while reading on my Kindle.

#3 - I’m grateful for softball fields - I’m sure you all are tired of hearing me talk about softball all the time, but it’s been a huge part of my life for the last 13 years. My DD20 and I have the best memories and had some of the best laughs at softball fields.

(Tues, 10/24) - 3 things that you're grateful for outside

1. I'm grateful for our yard. When we built our house, the lot we picked has a huge yard. I love the way it looks, but it is a lot of work to maintain. I hope we don't regret it as we get older!

2. I'm grateful for our local town park. It has a beautiful walking path around a lake. It's a little over a mile long, so a great place to go for a quick walk!

3. I'm grateful for the corn and bean fields I see on my way to work (or anywhere I drive lol). They are such a reminder of the seasons and the work that goes into providing food and resources for everyone.

Outside Things:
1. The Rails to Trails paths we have in my area—they are fantastic and so pretty this time of year.
2. My yard—large (for our area) corner lot that is mostly flat—unheard of around here, with lots of mature trees.
3. Beaches—nowhere close to me but I appreciate them on vacation.

Outside . . .

I am grateful for the people who have the energy to put up holiday lights and decorations. It made driving to the grocery store in the dark a lot more festive this morning.

I am grateful for fall weather. It’s not exactly cool here, but I don’t feel like I will melt when I take the trash out or get the mail.

Wildlife. I like seeing rabbits on the way to the mailbox. They are so cute!

I have 2 canvas laundry sorters in my laundry room. One has 3 compartments and the other has 2 and I have designated one for cleaning rags/microfiber towels and bathroom throw rugs. I sometimes throw dog bedding in there too and when I have a decent sized load I do a sanitizing wash.
Thanks for that. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Outside

I've always loved the coast - still do - but, lately, I'm really drawn to mountain views and crisp, fresh air. ❤️

Cycling, with the breeze on my face. ❤️

I'm especially grateful to have a garden - a private, relaxing outdoor space with green views all around. ....Lots of trees! ❤️

A peaceful front porch that overlooks a forest and a pool! 😍😍😍

1. Greek yogurt—has a bit of a sour taste to me. I eat some most days.
2. Limes-I prefer limes to lemons most of the time—I like a slice/wedge some in water and like limeade instead of lemonade although both are good.
3. Pickles—love dill pickles and other pickled things like pickled jalapeño.

Whiskey sours ❤️ I prefer sour drinks over sweet ones

Key Lime Pie !! ❤️❤️

Lemonheads Candy ❤️ or lemon drops ❤️

Sour gummy‘s❤️❤️
Funny story I had some dental work done root canal of course and a little tiny piece of clogged one of my glands and the cure for that is to eat something really sour so that you produce lots of saliva to try to flush it out it worked but let me tell you it’s really painful for something so tiny to plug up that gland But we can get a bag of sour gummy‘s with town on them problem solved

I do like the sour candy but some have gotten extremely sour and I can only do small bits of them but I’ll pick sour most times if I’m not getting chocolate

Happy HUMP Day

Can I just answer Sour Patch Kids 3 times because I love them so much? :lmao:

#1 - I’m grateful for Sour Patch Kids - they are my must have food item for the car when we are on long road trips. They are also my favorite candy to take to the movie theater.

#2 - I’m grateful for lime juice - I use it in a chicken marinade and also for my guacamole to help it not turn brown.

#3 - I’m grateful for lemonade - so good on a hot day.
