Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Absolutely I am grateful also for grocery stores especially right now during the ongoing pandemic along with growing greenery including Evergreen, of course! Grandchildren that some of you have shared with us that God has trusted you to extra love for which, I thank you, for doing so always, too. I send an e extra congratulations and prayers to all recent graduates. Dad's Gramophone classical magazine that he so enjoys reading and listening to at times a free CD that comes with it.

GR
I’ll go with grandparents, mine and the wonderful experience of being a grandmother. My oldest is 20, youngest 8.

Graham crackers, especially dark chocolate covered, especially from Fralingers!

Graphing…I have been a math teacher and students seemed to like the chapters on graphing. This is coming from someone who does enjoy graphing and statistics.:teacher:

Very grateful for my friend Michele, who gifted me with this shirt. Lots of people have shared smiles with me.

July...

My birthday is in July, so it's always comforting to know I've survived another trip around the sun!

It's finally warm all the time- usually mid-70s to mid-80s. The humidity might be a killer, but at least we aren't shoveling!

Summer school is over. We teach a full year of organic chemistry in 8 weeks, meaning I am teaching 3 different labs a week and grading the lab reports for each lab. The number of hours this takes is daunting. Each week includes 12 contact hours and, depending on the number of students, 24-32 hours of grading lab reports and quizzes. This doesn't include all the other aspects of the job: Preparing lectures, writing quizzes, setting up/breaking down chemical boxes for each lab, waste management, etc. It is an unreasonable task, but this is the schedule that works for the lecture so the lab must keep up. I end up working seven days a week for eight weeks. Summer organic chem ends by the 4th of July... and not a moment too soon.

Happy July 1st everyone

#1 - Even though my DD left our family, I’ll be forever grateful that God blessed us with her this month - she was my first beautiful sweet angel, and it’s hard to believe she’s turning 25 this month. I hope she has a happy birthday.

#2 - I’m grateful to have another full month with DD19 - next month she returns to college.

#3 - I’m grateful for a fun month of outdoor activities - I enjoy soaking up as much outdoor time as possible before it gets cold again - even if it’s just sitting outside at night playing cards (we enjoy doing this - it actually sounds like something we should do tonight 🙂)

#4 - Bonus - I’m grateful that my granddaughter was born this month - she will be a year old soon. We’ve never met her, but I know from others that are friends with my DD25 on Facebook that she’s happy and healthy and that’s something to be very grateful for.

*I‘m not mentioning #1 & #4 for sympathy - they are mentioned because I’m grateful for them.

Have a fun birthday month @leebee

Happy Birthday to US !!!

I’m grateful to have something to watch on tv every day for next 30 days Tour De France ❤️ I look forward to this every year and enjoy watching these men haul themselves all over France on a bike ! The scenery is beautiful and I enjoy everything about what these men do trying to win this race !!
I’m grateful for air conditioning as it’s hot as blue blazes here in July - not complaining as I’ll take that any day over ❄️🥶
As someone said - we are not shoveling !! Although we get some wicked storms ⛈️⚡🌩️
I’m grateful we get a small tiny break the kids are out of school & summer school - less traffic and no busses to deal with going to work and the kids get a tiny break as they will be back at it in a few weeks - not like when we were kids and had whole Summer off
Bonus - I’m especially grateful it’s sunny or at least daylight early and still sunny late - makes you feel like you have a full day ! Very grateful for that & everything is green ( well what hasn’t died from our drought )

I wish there were other response emojis. ❤

Bath & Body & Hobby Lobby have decked their halls 🎄🎄🎄🎃🎃🎃 they are all ready for the holidays - pumpkin this / pine that / Christmas everything !! Hobby Lobby reeks of cinnamon !! So aweful to start so early !! Just my opinion
I don't get it for Bath & Body, but I cut the craft stores some slack for being way ahead of season. People who make a lot of gifts have to start early.

Sorry, I've been AWOL! Hope you're all ...happy, healing, thriving, relaxed and feeling content and loved.

QUOTES/ADVICE: -

1) I always liked Eleanor Roosevelt's, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

2) Instead of feeling guilty for walking away, be proud for knowing your worth.

3) And I LOVE this,

PHOTOS

1) Growing up, we had some awesome family friends and I;m glad to have photos to remind me of those times together.

2) We were also lucky to have some fantastic vacations (Disney included), so those photos are valuable to me.

3) When I was at university, I spent a summer working in the US. I loved it and love looking back at the photos.

GRRRR :D

Green grass.

Grease, the musical

Grinning Ghosts!

JULY

In the UK, late July is the most common start of the school summer break. That's always been nice!

Relaxing here, right now.
