Today's Topic (Mon, 4/7) - 3 things you're grateful for beginning with the letter R

It’s the start of a new week friends

#1 - Rootbeer - I drink one every Sunday with my pizza. I think of my grandma every time I open a bottle - it was her favorite and we always drank them together when I was a child.

#2 - Roads - I wish we had more of them around there to alleviate some traffic issues. They keep building more houses around here, but they don’t make more roads for all these new people coming into our area.

#3 - Rain - I don’t love rainy days, but I do understand why rain is important so I am grateful for it, especially when it hasn’t rained for quite some time.

OUTDOOR

Greenbelts - I love that we have miles upon miles of paved trails so I can walk (and sometimes run) outside in nature.

Dining al fresco - I love being able to eat outside...both in having the option and having weather pleasant enough to allow for it.

Sports - Yes, it means being exposed to the elements, but I really wasn't a fan of the indoor sports the girls played in middle school. Basketball and volleyball are LOUD and the indoor seating is uncomfortable. At least outdoors the noise isn't too bad and between chairs and bleacher seats, we can be more comfy.

HANDMADE

Old school projects from the kids.

Holiday ornaments from friends and local charitable groups.

LETTER R

Running Shoes - I use them more to walk, but they are my most comfy footwear.

Raspberry Ring Jells - While I no longer subject myself to the dietary restrictions, growing up in a house that observed Passover, treats were few and far between. These Kosher for Passover candies called Ring Jells were my most favorite allowable sweet treats during this dreaded week.

Rest - I don't feel like I get a ton of it, but I'm grateful when I do.

SLO you can have my rain I’ve had enough for some time thank you !! Quite frankly I’m tired of wearing waders to take the dog out mother nature needs to spread that rain out she’s been a little heavy in our area

Rocks - although I do not care to run into them when I am trying to landscape and God knows we have a ton of them in our area but I do find them very pretty and I do enjoy decorating with them and all I have to do is just go in my yard and I can find all kinds of them because the landscaping around here has tons of them we grow them in our yards some quite pretty and quite big
It was funny the other day my neighbor was looking for a couple of big rocks and I said I have several to pick from if you’d care to take a look they’re under my deck
What size do you need I have them all

Records - I have all my records from since I was a kid and I really enjoy listening to them I enjoy them more than CDs nothing better than listening to a good record better known as albums but we always called them records

Razor - speaks for itself but you need a really good one in life / very grateful for this

Rack-O... best game invented to play with children..so said my grandmother..why.. when my sister was cleaning out her Oregon estate to move to a bigger estate in Texas US siblings played a few games

ROAD RAGE

My 2 year old puppy on a leash loves to rage down the morning walk road. She is very optimistic that this morning will be the morning She is angry because she can't get hold of the 4 feral cats that prowl along the brick wall.. out of harms way.. across the Lane
The gratitude... well it's the only stair master I know of that has 30 Palm as decor

Red Bottle Brush Tree blooms..tree as tall as the modular homes..this is where the two adults dogs take a break and smell... well.... anyhow blooms with petals that create a brush look and hang like lanterns and the tree could very well be the only one in our 60 street community.. so for that I am grateful

Red plastic newspaper cubbies for morning delivery... first for the person makes the delivery 4:00am.. second All the winter visitors who subscribe to support the business of journalism... image...of all places in the world to have a newspaper and a great pit of Carkoon

Thank you, Citrus Curtis for bringing back a good memory for dad from years ago. Dad shared that Scheherazde was piped in on a fancy train he rode along the Mediterranean. Dad also had a record of that music at one time.

Good morning...it makes me cry knowing the story line and a woman struggling to stay alive... it's really long so rarely do they play all 3 parts. ...but they did recently during the count down. Tell your Dad that 40 years ago there was a teahouse in Portland Oregon named after the composer... though at that time was not familiar with the composer by name but had a cassette in my car

Does he like movie soundtracks?

Razzle, a small stuffed animal dinosaur I have at home.

There are at least 5 CNA R's who work here. I have been cared for by all of them. I had one of them overnight last night and hope to be assigned her again tonight from 11pm to 7am.
