Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Friyay!!

1. Confirmed points last night at VGF for our trip next year!!
2. That my husband and I have rebuilt an amazing relationship. I have two set of relatives divorcing after 40 and 60 years.
3. That my DSis is not in the hospital. Has many lung issues and is super sick again.

Today's Topic (Fri 12/9) - "Friday Free For All" - just any three things you're grateful for

1. That my husband's health is stable. Between CHF and COPD, one never knows
2. All of my family and friends (including my DIS family)
3. All of the little things in life we take for granted sometimes--the older I get, the more I take the time to appreciate them

:dogdance: TGIF DIS Friends!!! :dogdance:
It's a free for all Friday!!

#1 - I'm grateful for my life, even with it's hiccups, bumps, bruises and ups & downs.
I love my life and I love all the people in my life.

#2 - I'm grateful for my family, friends and all the memories made with them throughout the years.

#3 - I'm grateful for my church, which helped bring me up from a current slump that many of you are aware of.
When I switched parishes over a year ago, I knew I made a good decision by how wonderful and welcoming everyone was towards me and my family.
They are not aware of why I switched, but them being so kind and friendly really helped me in ways I can never express.

I haven't been on The Dis for a while, PollyannaMom -- I've missed your thread.

3 random things, for which I'm grateful: -

1) This thread. Sincerely. Being reminded and encouraged to have an appreciative perspective is priceless.

2) My parents. I struck lucky with 2 very considerate and caring parents, who are also happy to laugh at life! I have such fantastic childhood memories.

3) Christmas music! Carols, pop songs, orchestral, ballads - I love them all!

"Friday Free For All" - just any three things you're grateful for

1 A new day of life and health, ability to praise and I pray to serve as well with a grateful heart.
2 That my dad continues to feel much better from a bad cold.
3 Cozy slippers! It's chilly here for me in CA.

3 Free For All🤔

1. For amazing friends that will go to war for/with you because of who you are to them.

2. 5 months until my daughter’s school is out and I can start sleeping in just a little 😂😂

3. For all my DIS friends and that I will be able to catch up on all my threads this weekend!

I will do a Holiday Friday Free For All . . .

1. I am grateful that all my holiday shopping is done.

2. I am grateful that I was able to find all the supplies for Christmas dinner in advance and on sale.

3. I am grateful for all the corny and sappy holiday movies on tv this time of year. Even the ones of lower quality make me feel good.

Playing catch up here! And I definitely might be "stealing" some answers here.
3 Surprises You've Been Grateful For

2. When my brother calls and it's not a holiday
3. A new song that you hear that you love at first listen

3 Disney things you're grateful for

3 Things You're Grateful for Beginning with L

3 Things You're Grateful for About Wednesdays
1. Every Wednesday, I send my co-workers a "Midweek Smile" email, which is an email with a cute/funny/amazing animal picture, usually along with a comment, story, or explanation. I love sending it and getting responses.
2. It's the only week night I consistently don't have anything scheduled.
3. It's the mark that work week is almost over

3 Books (or book series) You're Grateful for
1. The Wingfeather Series by Andrew Peterson (AMAZING YA fantasy series that's now been made into an animated series by the same company the did "The Chosen.")
2. The Harry Potter series
3. Ender's Game - The book that I read in high school for school that made me realize that "sci-fi" was a lot more than I thought it was.

"Friday Free For All" - just any three things you're grateful for

Today's Topic (Sat 12/10) - coworkers or schoolmates you're grateful for

1. Co Workers would have to back a lot of years. But I still am in contact with one of the girls that I worked with in retail. We were both front end supervisors, and put up with a lot from customers, and having each other made the job more bearable. She is about the same age as I am now, but she's in very poor health :(
2. Schoolmates--My best friend Donna, from Jr High on. We did everything together, went everywhere together, dated brothers in high school. We were pretty much inseparable for 6 years. Both got married the same year, and had babies the same year. We are still in touch, even though she still lives in MA and I am in MD
3. Don't really have a third one......

Saturday:

I have several coworkers I’m friends with that go back 40 years !! I’m very grateful for the continued friendship -all thru letters and phone calls as most of them live across the United States in one direction of another - we’ve been through a lot in 40 years - and sadly some are getting older and passing away - really breaks my heart - I feel like I’m losing a valued family member! I’ve always been very grateful for these people and ever so thankful they are a part of my life !! I can’t narrow it down to three - it would not be fair to the others so I’ll just consider them one big group ! ❤️🙏

(Sat 12/10) - coworkers or schoolmates you're grateful for

1 I'll use this as an extra opportunity to send a Saturday :grouphug:to each of you! We are a lovely support to one another, and I thank you all so very much! On that same note, church friends and family over the years.

2 My school days were not positive overall mostly due to stuff going on home-wise, but I was absolutely thrilled to be done! A few people who touched me extra during this time were my third-grade teacher, a wonderful third grade friend, HS friend, and a custodian in college who became an extra mom to me and so many others.

3 I enjoyed working with a couple ladies at a school age program years ago. Looking back, I wish i had chosen to stick with that center rather than go back to preschool directing/teaching. All good though :)
