Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Another vote for Queen Dolly!

Also seconding John Williams - his music is part of so many iconic movies!

And it's only fair if I come up with at least one of my own  - I'll say Steve Irwin (king of animal education shows on TV).
Absolutely!
RIP Steve - you are still loved by so many!
My DD25 and I used to watch him all the time. When he passed away I didn’t tell her for the longest time. She didn’t handle death well when she was a young child, so I sheltered her from the news for as long as I could.

Good Last TGIF of 2023

#1 - I’m grateful for my friendship with one softball Dad - we coached together for many years and the laughs we had are ones I’ll never forget. Great Memories! :goodvibes

#2 - I’m grateful for my boss/friend - if our patients had any idea how much we laugh and joke around, they’d probably think we’re nuts  :lmao:

#3 - I’m most especially grateful for DD20, who’s also my best friend - there is nobody that I laugh more with than her. We even laugh together when we can’t laugh - we just look at each other and know we are on the same page about something and then actually laugh later when we can. We are definitely two peas in a pod ❤️

🤣🤣🤣🤣 my house as I really went nowhere !
My new lawyer - made a new friend with one of his staff very nice person so sweet and helpful
Mediation as much as I was mad as a hornet my now exDH dragged the divorce out I did really well in mediation and came away with more than the Lions share and it finally put an end to everything so the divorce could go through !!
Other than that I went home / work / Target pick up - always grateful for Target pick up keeps me from going into the store and buying all the cool stuff Target has !!! 🤣🤪
Like I did when I had to go to Walmart to get items Target doesn’t have !!! Wish Walmart had pickup like Target does !! They need to bring it out to me - not have me step foot in the store because then it’s - well while I’m here ………$$$$$🤣🤣🤣🤣
Event - my Divorce - long overdue and very thankful and grateful it’s done !

By God's Grace that I was able to get out period this summer for the first time other than to the dentist. I really did stay home pretty much due to the pandemic. I remember in May how amazing it was to go to the 99 Cent Only Store and pick out in person a Father's Day card for my beloved dad. I also got my haircut for the first since before Christmas 2019! Little things I pray to never take for granted again especially given my feet issues currently!

Dad and I, WDW, have Walmart+ which is similar to Prime, the great thing about W+ is there is no order minimum, and they deliver to you. The closest Walmart is an hour from us. It has been so handy. Should you be interested in possibly signing up please PM me before you do so! I can check whether they are still offering the promotion when s Walmart+ member refers a friend who joins, we each get $20! That is the only reason I mention it because DEAR YOU would get the credit :) I would just need your email address. PM me :)

3 places or events you're grateful to have gone to this year

1) My Dad's 80th birthday party in May. DS and I flew down to Florida and surprised him, and it was amazing!
2) Universal Studios in February. - It was the redo of the trip that got cancelled right when everything shut down in 2020, and this time, our nephew was able to go with us!
3) The Boston Tea Party reenactment DH and I went to a couple of weeks ago with a lodge group. - I really try not to take for granted living in such a historic place!

1. Visited Chicago with my daughter’s club team. We watched a lot of volleyball but did some touristy things, enjoyed great company with our club family and had some special meals.
2. Did an evening event at Epcot (after hours or after dark or something like that) with DH and our girls. So much fun. We weren’t getting on the bus back until 1:45 am. I was exhausted.
3. We did a fun Christmas event in our area. Had a parade and fantastic decorations and special food and drink. Met up with some friends and had a really nice evening.

Today's Topic (Sat, 12/30) - 3 places or events you're grateful to have gone to this year
1. Gaylord Palms on ICE Charlie Brown Christmas was such a beautiful event to go to with the whole family
2. Southern Hills Farm - Got to pick fresh Strawberries with the kids
3.
Disney World - Went a couple times this year and it was Magical

Hugs, MaryBlanchard, I would have loved accompanying you to see A Charlie Brown Christmas! How fun. One Christmas Eve a pastor friend began her sermon mentioning that very movie. I had given her a stuffed animal Linus (I knew she loved the movie) that year. You might have enjoyed that :) Truly thankful you got to do all those things and of course, everyone else who shared was able to experience what they did :)
