Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Amen to one earth, Daisy Duck and for multiple, absolutely, memories, dear Tink. Here's to happy memories and to come for all of us!

I also just smiled to think of how blessed I am to have gotten by the Grace of God allowing, so many postcards for my dad's birthday surprise. With all my heart thank you all for contributing! To anyone who may still like to contribute but is having a hard time finding a postcard, please let me know by PM asap! I do have one last week od f a free Zazzle+ trial. Zazzle offers mot any image on a postcard. You can tell me some preferences. I would send it to you to write a message on for my dad. I would need you to please mail it back inside an envelope addressed to me by December. Thanks everyone so much. Hope each of you are enjoying Sunday! :grouphug:

3 things you're grateful for that you only have one of

1. I'm grateful for my sister - she's my only sibling and I'm so thankful we're close!

2. I'm grateful for my one son - I'm very glad that for our third was a boy. Oddly enough, when I was pregnant I was kind of hoping for another girl just because I felt like I knew how to "do" them, but very grateful for our son!

3. I'm grateful for my one deck - I love being able to sit out on the deck and just visit with someone or read a book. DD and I sat out there for quite awhile just to chit chat while she was visiting!

Happy Monday!

#1 - I’m grateful for my Mammoth Croc (with no holes) - they are best for keeping my feet warm, and are the only thing I wear for DD20’s softball games that start in February when it’s in the 30s outside.

#2 - I’m grateful for my Vans - I just started wearing them last year and I love them. If they weren’t $60 each I’d buy them in more colors, but since they are I just have white ones and black ones.

#3 - I’m grateful for all my running shoes past and present - those shoes have been very good for all my workouts, runs, 1/2 marathons, 5ks and more. Lots of great memories with those shoes.

(Mon, 10/23) - 3 pairs of shoes (or boots, slippers, whatever...) that you are or have been grateful for

1. I'm grateful for my sketchers memory foam sandals. I mainly wear them on our vacations, but they are so comfortable for walking and they can also get wet, so great for beach or pool days too!

2. I'm grateful for my sperry's - I'm not sure if they're actually in style anymore, but I still love them and wear them with a lot of my casual pants that I wear to work each day!

3. I'm grateful for my Hey Dudes - I just think they are a fun shoe to wear around! I have 2 pairs, one black and one tan so they pretty much go with anything!

I have some cheerful crocs by the door for going out to the garage/garden. Love them!

When I was a kid I had some lightweight denim sneakers (I guess a bit like denim converse, but more flexible) - they must have been good because I still remember them fondly!!

I'm, also, a fan of suede ankle boots (flat, wedged, heeled, light, dark). I may have more than one pair! I appreciate them all. (Disclaimer: I realize this sounds like I have dozens of pairs, I don't! I have 4 5, I think.)

It doesn't have to be that you are specifically grateful because there is only one, just something you only have one of that you are grateful for.
Good point! I got too caught up in that aspect. Thanks.

ONE

My car
My petrol lawn mower. I know, at some point, I'll have to change it for a rechargeable electric one, but, for now, just having a cordless mower is so freeing.
My cell phone. I preferred the old 'dumb' phones, so one is enough, but I am grateful to have this one.

What do you do with them while they're waiting to be washed? ...To keep them hygienic. I can't decide.
I have 2 canvas laundry sorters in my laundry room. One has 3 compartments and the other has 2 and I have designated one for cleaning rags/microfiber towels and bathroom throw rugs. I sometimes throw dog bedding in there too and when I have a decent sized load I do a sanitizing wash.

Shoes:

1. I have foot issues and have to wear custom made inserts so my shoe selection is limited. I am mostly supposed to wear New Balance running shoes.
2. In the winter months I have found some lands end moccasins that are non skid that accommodate my inserts. Super grateful for those.
3. I have some sandals from the Walking Store that I can get away with wearing for a short time. I love open shoes like flip flops and sandals—but can’t do it too much.
