Things in the mail...

Surprise postcards and notes from @flyingdumbo127 !

Monthly billing statements. I know this seems odd, but I am a true "hard copy" girl. While I pay the bills online, I hate the push for electronic billing statements, so I am glad I can still get hard copy for most of my bills.

Magazines. We have a few subscriptions, and 2 of the 3 only arrive every 2 months, so it's always fun when a new magazine arrives!

Things that have come in the mail!

My mom wrote many letters, and my parents sent money surprises to us when we were raising our boys. We still have some stocks that we were gifted then. They were truly blessings for us.

I have a box in which I keep cards that were send to us over the years of our life. Baby cards, anniversary cards, letters from friends. I have gone through them many times, and they are a manageable number. I do not have every one from every friend, relative, but I have enough.

Currently we buy many things that are delivered to us, rather than buying in a store. This is a nice service!

We too have a weekly newspaper from the Cape May area, we get a weekly newspaper from our Diocese and we get a monthly Polish Heritage newspaper.

Snail mail as most of you know is dear to my heart! Blessing that I am able to send some of you happy mail. Please PM me anyone else who may enjoy a postcard or card from LA. I pray that mail is a tiny way especially these days while I am mostly home, for me to be of extra kind service to Jesus in witness with love.

Grateful for all the happy mail I have gotten. Thank all of you extra who have already sent me postcards for my dad. Thank you all in general for the kind mail you have sent me over the years, too.

Birthday and Christmas cards are extra dear to me. I do also have a few cards saved from my grandparents which are so special.

Definitely store savings are also a blessing!

All packages that come through the pony express or by some other delivery means are sure appreciated by dad and I!

The holiday toy/gift catalogues...there is something about being able to look through all the options before wandering through a store aimlesly...at least this way I have a plan

1. Olive oil—I cook with it and use it to make salad dressings and marinades.
2. October—my favorite month
3. Oceans—many others said it and I agree, I love the ocean.

Things in the Mail:
1. Packages I ordered—just got a few cute things from Etsy that I ordered for my daughter.
2. Christmas cards—I especially like the ones with pictures of kids.
3. Sales fliers—grocery and the like, even better if they come with coupons.

Cards - My mom was big on cards and I still enjoy sending them. My birthday is this week, so I have couple that already came up on display. This one from my sister-in-law is my favorite so far:


Amazon packages - It's so convenient to just order what I need and have it the next day!

Care Packages - It was so special back when I was in college to see that little card in your post box saying you had something at the window.

Tolls- I always get and E-pass sticker so I have it when I go. Are you saying it will work if I hold it up instead of sticking it to windshield? I would love to be able to reuse it. I also got in a situation one time where they made me switch rentals at the gate and I had already put the sticker on the windshield so I had to pay by plate. I also left it in car one time and had to pay $15 in tolls for someone else. (E-PASS refused to remove it)

Love the card, PollyannaMom. God Bless your SIL! Grandma and I when I was in college enjoyed sending each other a favorite Shoebox card with a dog standing on a ladder looking into a window. The message said something like, "Just looking in on you to see how you're doing." Meant so much to be able to do that for several years what a blessing. Cards are definitely special and for me have been used by God to make a huge difference, too

Good Tuesday Morning

#1 - I’m grateful for my MIL who’s name starts with N - there are times that she makes me , but I‘m sure there are times I make her too - LOL!

#2 - I’m grateful for my neighbors - we‘ve lived next door to each other for 19 years and we’ve done a lot together.

#3 - I’m grateful for Nutrigrain Bars (I’m eating one right now) - it’s my pre work snack to keep me sustained until I have my protein shake after my workout.
