Three Things...Gratitude Thread

My 3 cold things:

1. Letting my dog out at 3 AM. She normally sleeps through the night, but last night we had a freezing encounter. Everything was so quiet and clean feeling.
2. SNOW CREAM made from beautiful white snow (not that you'd make it any other time!). I grew up in the south and this was a rare treat.
3. My oldest kitty's tiny feet. She is so small - you'd never known she was about 9. She hops in my lap in the mornings to get warmer and I can feel her cold little paws.

3 cold things you're grateful for

1. Chocolate marshmallow ice cream, my favorite flavor of all time
2. The first snowfall of the season, as long as it falls on Christmas Eve, not twice this week as it's always done. Only good thing about what fell last night, it that is that sparkly, looks like diamonds kind
3. An ice cold glass of Classic Coke on a warm day (or on any day for that matter)
4. I have to steal @eksmama01 's 3'rd answer. and add a fourth for me. One of our cats is also full grown, but very small. Her little paws always seem cold, even though she tends to park herself across one of the main heat vents and blocks it, lol

1. My yeti tumbler—keeps my drinks cold all day long and keeps me from buying drinks when I am out and about. I know it would also keep my drink hot, but I almost never use it for that.

2. Freezer: I have two refrigerators that have small freezers but also a stand up freezer I. The garage. It allows me to buy/cook in bulk and freeze smaller portions. In the last few weeks I’ve made large pots of vegetable, wedding and chicken noodle soups. I eat those for lunch a lot as does DH.

3. Air conditioning: I grew up in a house without it and will always appreciate having it.

Ice Cream. And the freezer that looks after it for me! 🍨

Without air conditioning (UK), I really appreciate the various fans around the house. I like the cool breeze on my face while I sleep, along with the white noise.

We don't get snow often - I might not feel the same if we did! - but I love the peace of falling snow. ...And walking out in it. 🌨️⛄❄️

Today's Topic (Sat. 11/19) - 3 cold things you're grateful for

1 Being able to give God extra praise and thanks for a safe shelter along with clothing, blankets, and of course, hot chocolate to keep cozier with.

2 I do get cold very easily but I also experienced briefly how a working a/c makes such a difference during a time of extreme heat when dad and I didn't have one. We both, dad especially, (which broke my heart) was affected. Thanks extra to God we do have two very good a/c's now.

3 I do enjoy Jell-o Instant Chocolate Fudge Pudding. This is one treat I definitely appreciate being properly chilled, the same with my favorite applesauce from Sprouts.

Happy Blessed Sunday DIS Friends ✝️

I’m grateful for many warm things, but let me try and narrow it down to 3…..

Not including my furnace, my oven and things like that…

I’m grateful for my warm/hot black coffee every morning and my warm/hot green tea every afternoon, especially now that it’s cold outside. It warms me up along with it being part of my 100oz water source every day.

I’m grateful for my heated car seats - I love them so much! They are so nice in the winter and even in the summer when my low back is achy.

I’m grateful for those Hot Hands hand warmers - they are the best when you have to be cold outside for a long time. I have Raynauds, and I’ve almost lost a finger once due to a vascular spasm, so I MUST keep my hands warm. I stick one of these in each glove so it’s on the palm of my hand and I also put one in each sock, so it sits on the top of my foot and it’s helps a lot. I recommend them to everyone that feels like they could benefit from them, just don’t use them once they expire - we learned this the hard way. Before a game about 5 years ago DD19, then about 14yrs old, shook an expired one to get the heat started and it broke and all the particles went in her eyes - it was terrible. It was 40 degrees out and we were pouring cold water on her face and eyes. She ended up being ok, but we through all the old ones away, and never used old ones again.
