3 plants or plant-related things you're grateful for:
I’m an avid gardener, so this was hard to narrow down. LOL.
- The flowers in my gardens. Blooming now are roses, black-eyed susans, coneflower, and sage. Most of those in a fenced in garden to keep the deer away.
- The farmers! Yes! We live in PA and have lots of dedicated farmers that grow the most delicious fruits and veggies. One in particular who is known for his tomatoes and corn. I had a caprese salad at a get together recently, and had to ask where to tomatoes were from. Of course it was from that farm!
- This is broad, but seasonal plants. Mums and pumpkins in the Fall. Christmas trees, poinsettias, amaryllis, and paperwhites in the Winter. Also in the Winter outdoors, snowdrops and aconite. Spring and all of the bulbs! Violets and pansies, and later peonies and roses. Summer brings the natives like coneflower mentioned above.
3 chocolate things you're grateful for:
- Chocolate combinations. I can’t choose just one. Chocolate & marshmallow, chocolate & mint, and chocolate and peanut butter.
- A new to me confection of bittersweet chocolate and salted macadamia nuts I had this past week at Termini Brothers in Philly. I will be dreaming about it until I have it again.
- Oreos. They now make an almost identical GF version and we always have a pack in the drawer.
3 things you're grateful for on rainy days:
- How it slows the day down. Especially on a weekend. No one is in a rush to do this and that and get out.
- A day I do not have to water the plants.
- Memories of the kids when they were little and loved splashing in puddles.
