Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Chocolate:
1. Toblerone
2. Dark chocolate covered marzipan
3. M&S Swiss chocolates

Life:
1. Family
2. My little dog - seeing how happy she is in the morning makes me happy (that little waggy tail and wiggly bum )
3. Being able to create art/crafts for a living

Happy Saturday

Quickie answers - I gotta get ready for work…..

#1 - A day off from watering my flowers

#2 - An opportunity to catch up with housework

#3 - Watching all the plant life outside getting greener, fuller and healthier looking. I live next a forest and it’s so dead looking in the winter, but now it’s so green and full of life - definitely a better view out of my living room window.

3 plants or plant-related things you're grateful for:

I’m an avid gardener, so this was hard to narrow down. LOL.

- The flowers in my gardens. Blooming now are roses, black-eyed susans, coneflower, and sage. Most of those in a fenced in garden to keep the deer away.

- The farmers! Yes! We live in PA and have lots of dedicated farmers that grow the most delicious fruits and veggies. One in particular who is known for his tomatoes and corn. I had a caprese salad at a get together recently, and had to ask where to tomatoes were from. Of course it was from that farm!

- This is broad, but seasonal plants. Mums and pumpkins in the Fall. Christmas trees, poinsettias, amaryllis, and paperwhites in the Winter. Also in the Winter outdoors, snowdrops and aconite. Spring and all of the bulbs! Violets and pansies, and later peonies and roses. Summer brings the natives like coneflower mentioned above.

3 chocolate things you're grateful for:

- Chocolate combinations. I can’t choose just one. Chocolate & marshmallow, chocolate & mint, and chocolate and peanut butter.

- A new to me confection of bittersweet chocolate and salted macadamia nuts I had this past week at Termini Brothers in Philly. I will be dreaming about it until I have it again.

- Oreos. They now make an almost identical GF version and we always have a pack in the drawer.

3 things you're grateful for on rainy days:

- How it slows the day down. Especially on a weekend. No one is in a rush to do this and that and get out.

- A day I do not have to water the plants.

- Memories of the kids when they were little and loved splashing in puddles.

Yes! Was thinking of this too!!
My phone does this wonderful thing I type one thing. It looks fine. I hit post and then I post something totally different.
I said when I’m at DISNEY that’s not what posted
I wish I could find how to turn that off. This auto correct is driving me nuts.
It’s like after the fact auto correct

Sympathy! I used to be so fast at texting on old 'dumb' phones, but on 'smart' phones it's so easy to get the next letter or not have something register. ...Maybe, there's a gremlin somewhere messing with us!! :D

(Sat, 7/29) - 3 things you're grateful for on rainy days
1. The sound of rain!
2. Rain tends to cool things off in the summer
3. RAINBOWS! (Thanks, @mumto3girls) I actually edited this to change it when I saw your answer. I can't believe I didn't think of that one on my own. My yard really does have a perfect "backdrop" for rainbows.

Children's musical last night was great, by the way!

Welcome from me, too Keneka!:grouphug:

Rain:

Makes me think of our friend pooh:Simpler times and moments and memories.

Hot chocolate tastes extra good in rainy weather as do warm out of the oven cookies, of course, too!

Dad and I give extra thanks to God in another way for the blessing of a dry, and safe home. I also pray (daily) to be used to make this wish I know is His for all of His children along with a loving home of faith, possible.

Rain is also a reminder to me that I believe God is my Anchor is any storm!

Mumto3girls, I love how you said rain slows everything down! I completely agree. It makes things stiller and reminds me of perspective and daily small joys!

Bobbiwoz, for sure rainbows. PollyannaMom, love your cute umbrella answer, too! I once had a Pooh print umbrella :)

Such a good look at it from the other side, @flyingdumbo127 . I very much appreciate a dry, safe home, too.
