Hey! Who did this quote of me? I did not say that. Someone must have copied and pasted wrong. But I don't think TT is scary at all...;)

I dont know how that got messed up but I didnt think anyone would think TT is scary.

Everyone, here is a question for you all: :confused3

Which ride do you think is Disney's "most thrilling"? How about "most soothing"?

Most thrilling??? As an adult...and I've only gone on rides with my DS...I would say BTMRR.

Most soothing would be a tie...between Soarin' for the sights and POTC for the air conditioning!

Cathy can't believe you lost Liz's ticket good plan though :thumbsup2 Our favourite rides in WDW are Soarin and TT :) Good score with row 1 seats, so is that the first set of queue's?

Most thrilling? This year it had to be Expedition Everest.
Most soothing? Spaceship Earth wins this one hands down!

It was meeeeee! Wahhh! :sad2: I'm sorry! The post I was quoting from had more than one quote on it, and I was trying to just leave the quote about TT, and I messed it up.
Now with all the crazy misquoting, the joke about the inappropriate use of the abbreviation of "TT" was lost and it's no longer funny. Okay... It's a little funny still.
Maybe just to me, but I'm used to that. :rotfl:

You mean that was supposed to be a scary ride?? Opss I missed that memo :rotfl2: EE now that is scary!!!
I think the clip on the behind the scenes show came on after the stunt show clip where the guy's on fire, so they MAY have have tied the two together because of the cars.

HSmama once you go this time...you're not going to be able to wait another 11 years...the more you plan the more you know and you want to return! Am I correct fellow Dissers??
I know. That has been a financial decision, and timing thing. I thought it was best to wait until the kids were older so they would enjoy it. Now that I DIS, I realize it would have been fun even with little ones.

I saw her pics and seriously the background is empty where there are usually crowds...great time to go!
That would be nice! Like I said, I'm a little worried about the crowds right after New Years.

Awwww you are going to have the best time! It sounds like you have some wonderful things planned. Take lots of pics! :cloud9:
I KNOW! I'm so excited. I have lots of super fun things planned for surprises. I'll be writing about them in my Pre-trippie eventually. I may start that in Sept. It seems too early now, don't you think?

:)
Your kids are the perfect age for Disney...old enough to do some of the thrill rides, yet young enough to enjoy the "Magic"...though I feel I'm still young enough to enjoy it as well. The funny thing about Disney is that it really brings out the kid in all of us. I love all of Disney. I can honestly say there is only one thing I really don't like...Dinosaur...it is TOO loud and rough! Early Jan. is more crowded than late Jan. but you have a plan and a lot of ressies so you'll be fine. The great thing about a first trip for the kids...they really don't have a concept of all there is so they never feel like they are missing something so everything is exciting! Our last trip was very short(5 days). My sister, Brother in law and neice were all going for 8 days with my BIL's side of the family and my sister invited us to come along too,but timing was bad for us yet we did manage to do 5 days. I was worried the kids would be disappointed if they didn't get to do everything they were used to so I told them to each pick 3 "must do's" , one new thing and one restaurant they wanted to go to and all else would be bonus. That plan worked out perfectly! I have to tell you my 12 year old's must do was to spend a morning at Fantasyland with her cousin to show her all the Magic of a first time trip(She's 2). It warmed my heart to see how unselfish that thought was. Our "new" thing was Soarin'(LOVE IT!!!) And you can see from my name(Bop to the Top) , that my kids are HUGE High School Musical fans!! Happy planning!!!:wizard:

I am getting off lucky this time. Since they don't know what to expect, I can plan what I think they willl enjoy the most. We have season passes at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, so we're used to "we'll come back to that ride" and making sure everyone does something that like. :thumbsup2

How sweet your 12 yr old is to be so unselfish! :goodvibes My 10 yr old has been a piece of work lately being so rude to her siblings. It's been so frustrating!

We're huge HSM fans too. We can't wait for the 17th! popcorn:: I've been "planting" Disney character stuff b/c my two youngest tend to watch more of the stuff my older child likes, not all the princess and hero stuff kids their age watch. I think I've done a good job getting them interested in all the people they'll see. We've even played the 3 (yes, THREE!) Disney Games we have often so they'll get excited. I jsut told them we are going last Friday. I posted on my blog about it. The link's in my signature if your interested. :)

((((((((((((BTTT)))))))) I am so glad you are here...I mean I know you have been here all along but now you are here in word too! party: :welcome: :rainbow: :dancer: :rockband: Welcome my bestest friend...hey do you have any old pics of us???

Oh yeah, we have to see these:thumbsup2

Buffy come on over and we will scrapbook and sew together! :dance3:

:cool1: I'll bring some brownies.

I saw the scrapbook today...it was a tougher workout than the gym just to lift the thing!!! Seriously, it was the fattest scrapbook I have ever seen, but it is TOO CUTE!!! Not only can the girl sew, she is a scrapbook pro!!! You have seen from the report how cute the "Three Princesses" are..well, they are precious...the sweetest little girls. I know they will look back on the scrapbook for years to come and remember their trip fondly. Their Mommy is the best!

And it seems like she has a good friend, too:) Glad you joined up:wave2:

I can't believe you've already finished your scrapbook. I still have to start one from 2004 for MVMCP and our 2005 trip. I'm so behind. Maybe I should just slap 'em on a page and add a jolee's sticker.

I haven't been to WDW but at Disneyland I would say that:

Space Mountain is the most thrilling.

IASW is the most soothing.

At California Adventure it would be:

Screamin' most thrilling.

Soarin' most soothing.

Wow Cathy, you're already on the last day?! :sad1: Loving the pics of the you and the Princesses. We lost a KTTW too, but went to guest services and they issued us a new one and it wasn't too much of a hassle. Anyhoo, can't wait to hear about the DIS meet and homemade BBB! princess:

Jen....I loved BTMRR and it was so much fun...did Jon just love it? And you gotta love the AC and the cool darkness of POTC. As I stated, Soarin is my all-time fav ride ever. :thumbsup2 Great choices!!!

Cathy can't believe you lost Liz's ticket good plan though :thumbsup2 Our favourite rides in WDW are Soarin and TT :) Good score with row 1 seats, so is that the first set of queue's?
:sad2: Isnt that terrible I lost the card...? I would have to agree with you on the Soarin! TT is good too! :drive:

Wow I was so intimidated by EE so I give you a lot of credit for going on it... :scared1:
We didnt go on SE this year...DH didnt want to stand in a line....but I remember it as being a smooth and relaxing ride (with AC)! :goodvibes

Yeah love brownies!!! Yes, I have to scrapbook the trips right away...or else I wont get to it. I am just putting all other pics in albums in order and I will scrapbook them when I retire (in 10 years). :rotfl2:

I love SpM...gotta hit that next time! And we also missed PP since there was a 40 min wait and no FP (broken). We enjoyed it last year! Great choices! :thumbsup2

Day 6 - Evening at Epcot

Around 3 pm, I shower and dress and then I get the girls up starting with Liz. Time for our in-hotel Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique session.princess: princess: princess: I do nails and make-up, then get the dress on and do the hair up. We spray and primp and finish with jewelry and stick on jewels for the face. Beautiful! I do this three times! Belle really didn’t like the make-up part so we skipped it. We are all ready! I just barely remember to bring Felicia and her book with me. I needed to remember this because I was passing her off to her next foster-mom, Dawn Maree (Disneyolic) at our Dis Meet in Norway at 7pm. Gosh I hope we find each other.

We snap some pics by the pretty fountain near our building, Oak Manor. We walk to the bus stop around 4:30 pm. The girls are getting a lot of ohhhs and ahhhs and are a bit shy about it. I made sure I wished kids happy birthday if I saw their birthday buttons on and now my kids were on the receiving end of attention. I hoped they would hold up. Actually, with the dresses on it was a bit nerve-wracking.:scared: I was scared they would tear them or pull their tiaras off, etc. Not to mention we had to sneak Cindy into Epcot again. Darn card.

We made it to Epcot in good time but the line for the bag check was ridiculous. :hourglass It took us a good 20 min to get through it. And if it really were doing something I wouldn’t mind, but I think we all know, in “real life” it’s ineffective. If you really wanted to smuggle something in, it would be easy to get it by them. OK tirad over. It is now 5 pm and its still very hot! Or I should say very humid. So we wonder on over to Club Cool. I heard so much about it and since we made it through the gates again with 3 cards and 5 people, I figured we needed to celebrate with free soda! :drinking1 We loved the watermelon soda from China and no, we didn’t attempt the Beverly. I was too nice to sneak it on anyone! We chat with a nice CM for a few minutes and head out into the water-logged air. I could barely breath.

We should have found something else to do for a half hour but we headed over to Norway early. I had no idea that they didn’t let you in early. The CM at the podium of Akershus said to come back at 6:15 pm. So we hung out in the AC and took pictures at the gift shop and in front of the water falls. See the pic in my signature…that’s where that pic came from. It was kind of boring waiting around but somehow the girls didn’t pull at their hair or mess themselves up too much. I was impressed.

Finally, at 6:20 pm we get called to get in line to get in.
I asked the line CM who the princesses tonight were and she wouldn’t give me any clues other than to say we would be happy. Well that’s a good sign. So we find that Ariel is the greeter and she is beautiful in her blue gown. We had to explain to the girls that she wasn’t in the ocean and so she had legs tonight like when she married Prince Eric. I managed somehow to get Cindy in the pic by appearing in it myself. Works for me. We snapped pics and so did the photoguy. (Don’t worry photoguy…your package is way over-priced so I won’t be purchasing it tonight. ) We are shown to our table which is next to the buffet. I feel a little crowded for some reason...I think it was because we were at a 4 person table with 5 people. Oh well. I look around this nice restaurant and enjoy watching the people at the other tables. :cool2: I don’t remember the buffet very well.

Day 6 - Evening at Epcot Continued

Time to eat. I went up to get a few things for the girls and tried to keep them neat. I think I ended up with bread and butter and cheese and some salad. Not too much selection. Then we ordered. Our server was fine…not too much personality but she refilled our drinks and checked on us so nothing I would complain about. If I remember correctly, the girls had pasta without sauce and meatballs. DH and I had something…I just looked at the menu and I can’t recall. I think it was pasta too. In any case it was ok.

The meal was very broken up because the princesses entered the room. We spent time watching them and guarding Cindy….lol. They would make their way to our table and we took some pics and explained that Cindy was afraid so they would smile and wave. :yay: Then we would eat another few bits and the same thing would happen again. We were visited first by Jasmine and then Snow White. Both were very sweet. Then it happened …. Cinderella entered the room. I almost fell off my chair. I had already explained to the girls that she wouldn’t be here because she eats in the castle. I had to quickly explain her appearance…. think…think…..Wow, I say, Cinderella must have come over to see her friends here in Norway! So Cinderella visited us and we were really happy! Later a manager CM came by to make sure we saw all of the princesses and that we were satisfied. I thought that was a nice touch.

Jasmine (wow great abs!!! :rotfl: )

and Cinderella herself

We skipped most of dessert. I had a bite of the bread pudding and then decided it was time to change the girls into comfy clothes or shoot myself in the head. They were pulling stuff off and a little impatient at this point. I actually went to the gift shop and asked for a large bag to carry the dresses in. They gladly helped me out and gave me one….so nice! We changed and packed up our clothes and snapped a few pics and now it was almost 7:30 pm. Time for the Dis Meet.

IMGP3327.jpg

IMGP3328.jpg

Now how the heck are we going to find each other? I found a raised area where I could see people coming towards Norway. How would I find these other Dissers? Suddenly I spot :3dglasses someone in a lime green top and shorts pushing a double stroller. Could it be…was it…..I think it might be….yes…it is….it is DawnMaree! I can’t believe it….and I start jumping up and down :yay: :yay: :yay: trying to get her attention…what if she keeps going and we miss each other. Clearly I was losing my mind. Must be all the heat.:headache: I stop jumping up and down when I realized she sees me.

So we meet finally and DM is so nice…just like I thought. I give over our little Felicia the Croc so I wouldn’t forget to do that and then another Disser appears…it is Kate (Kate) and her husband and son. We snap a pic and chat a bit. :hyper2: It is finally cooling off and nice to be among friends. :disrocks: Within 10 min, two more Disers show up Jackie (Sunlover) and Kari (Karibritt) with their families. We are all talking and the kids are milling about. I notice Belle playing nicely with Kate’s son. So cute. Our nice DH’s all stand up in front of us to snap pics. I mention something about the paparazi. :rotfl2: Around 8 pm we head over to Maelstrom to take a ride but the line is like 40 min and it is closing anyways. My DH and kiddos are impatient and ready to return to the hotel. So after a very nice Dis Meet and chat we say our goodbyes and head back to POR!

Have you seen these yet?? ;)

IMGP3333.jpg

It took us about an hour to get back because we missed the bus I think. We get changed into bathing suits and snag some milkshakes :thumbsup2 and swim a while. Then rinse off and head back to our room. I for one am really tired. I am actually ready to go home which is strange since I thought I would be totally devastated at the thought of leaving. But really this trip seemed to accomplish what it was supposed to. pixiedust: We had a totally awesome time together….hardly any crying or fights…and we did almost everything we set out to do. So with sleepy sleepy eyes  we hit the hay.

Tomorrow is our last day!

Is the DL SM like the one at WDW? And IASW is a very soothing...the kids loved it and poor Belle was just waiting for something to jump out at her and I kept telling her nothing would happen...she relaxed by the end.

I hear that DL's is better. I haven't been on WDW but from pics I can tell you that Disneyland's line is outside and the outside of IASW, especially at night when it's all lit up, is magical. pixiedust: From friend's who have been on both, DL's is superior.

:rotfl2: Change them out of their dresses or shoot myself in the head! :rotfl2: Too funny.

I can't believe you BBBd the girls yourself; they look fabulous! princess: That saved you a bundle of money! :yay: Good job!

I liked reading about the meet. It's a good picture and everyone seems so nice. :thumbsup2

:sad1: I always get sad when it's time for the last day.

The girls looked GREAT!!!!! What a cool mommy you are!

Yes, have to say our IASW at Disneyland is better (Sorry!) At Christmas it is the BEST! The whole front is lined in lights and they have a projection show on it.

It is our princess: 's favorite ride so we will see in a few days which one she likes better!:rolleyes1

I dont know how that got messed up but I didnt think anyone would think TT is scary.

Everyone, here is a question for you all: :confused3

Which ride do you think is Disney's "most thrilling"? How about "most soothing"?

Most Soothing: Soarin' (I could soar all day)
Most Thrilling: EE when you are going forward, but once you start going backwards...YIKES:eek: not thrilling any longer...terrifying!!!

The chances of us getting to DL are slim to none so I will have to take your word for it. I would love to get there since it was Walt's original park. :thumbsup2
And if that was enough with the dresses..wait till you see my mini-installment..I went and did it all over again for the Baby Parade :headache:

I think its so cool that there are two parks because so many more people can enjoy. I would love to see both but as I said...no DL in this lifetime...well, I guess I should never say never...huh ;) Christmas in DL or WDW sounds absolutely dreamy :cloud9: :santa: :santa: :santa: !

I am totally laughing at these photos. We are as bad as kids trying to get everyone to either smile or look the right way! :lmao: And what's up with my face in the 2nd photo? Eeek! It was so much fun meeting up with you. You truly were as nice as you are here on the DISboards. In fact, even nicer and spunkier!

Mini-Update: Cape May Baby Parade

Well this installment has a little to do with Disney:
A. Disney has a Cape May Cafe named after our town
B. The girls all dressed as Disney Princesses in honor of our trip. (Plus I had the dresses  )
C. Explains why I havent been on the Dis too much this week....busy week.

So Cape May City has a cornation for the queen (Queen Maysea) and then a Baby Parade in her honor. This year, Liz's best friend, was the Queen and every year we do the Baby Parade. So I thought I would torture you all with like 25 pics of our day. :rotfl2:

Here goes!!!

Before the parade is an hour of standing in the hot sun for "judging" and line up for the parade. Here we all are

IMGP3573.jpg

IMGP3572.jpg

Cindy didn't want her pic taken all day..and whined thoughout the day for some reason...it was all she talked about and now that we were here she was shy or nervous or something....kids
