Whew, I just finished reading your report. Your 3 are just darling and I am so glad your DD got to feeling better.

I am enjoying the pictures and can't wait to read more.

We will be staying at the POR too but have to have the AB section because we need the trundle. I am going to request Building 18 I think. I was worried about the possible smoke smell but it doesn't seem to be an issue.

Yay on the Dream FPs. I can't believe the wedding couple turned them down.

I dont think you have to worry about the smoke thing....Disney did a thorough cleaning and probably replaced stinky stuff. Do you know DM? They stayed there in June and said it was perfectly fine. Just know that if it turns out not to be the case, Disney will make you happy! I found the resort CM's to be very nice and helpful. POR is just loverly and I felt very well taken care of

Drats....only concierge people get to go??? and they drive you right to the hotel??? Wow! I think a car is handy too since you dont have to wait around for the bus and all the bus stops! Do you have to pay the tolls? I know parking is free. Thanks for all the info castawaymom!

Yes, one the concierge, for the sunset/sunrise safaris. No tolls just showed them are paper that had our name and resort in the window.

Well I am motivating myself by scrapbooking my trip along with this report. And it is fun writing it I think...you kind of relive the moments. I am actually putting the TR in my scrapbook.... hey maybe my grandkids will read about it one day!
I feel like I missed out on stuff too...you really can't do it all! So we ALL have to go back!

Listen loyal readers and lurkers alike..... I really apologize for the delay in this installment. I am finally done and up it goes.
I also just finished my scrap book ...well its mostly done...I need to do a few finishing things but it is 48 pages long! times two sides...thats 96 scrapbooking pages!
I dont go crazy with each pages...its basically paper and stickers and sayings or words and any souveniers or tickets etc like that. It gets the point across. I put them in page protectors and the kids love to look through. The thing is a monstrosity this time though!

Day 6 - Daytime at Epcot​

You know how the curtains have the light blocking shade….we don’t have that at home. It made for great naps in the afternoon but getting up in the morning was another story. I have to admit it……Ok I was tired today…its official. I was so afraid I would wake up sad today (our last park day) …but I wasn’t. I was exhausted! But happy none the less. Today was our Big Epcot Day! I looked forward to trying the “new” (to me) rides and also later was our big homemade BBB and Akershus Princess Dinner and Dis Meet in Norway! Lots to look forward to! Yippiee!!

So I sprung out of bed….no I limped out of bed….I pulled something pushing that darn stroller around AK yesterday! OK a shower will get things back in good working order I hoped. The water was hotter today…go figure…so I took advantage. I got dressed and heard Grumpy stirring…and eventually we all were up. I talked so much about it in my pre-trippie but I will mention it here again. Instead of the girls and I each having our own suitcase, I took our stuff and packed it by the day. We had a Mon-Wed suitcase, a Thur-Fri one, and one for Sat -Sun. So I opened our new suitcase and laid everyone’s labeled bags out. I also stuffed the dirty laundry in the old suitcase. I zipped it up and put it aside. Boy, whoever thought of this is a genius. I sure had a lot of laundry to do when I got back!

Ok so we readied ourselves and brought our usual snacks and water and we were off. Wow, what a line at the bus! The problem was…there were only two bus depots and one line for all of the parks. And then the Epcot bus arrives. Only a few people move so I get out of line and start asking people if anyone is getting on this Epcot bus….No??…ok so we board the bus and take a seat. It was 8:07 am.

Here we are!

After a very short trip…10 min…we pull into Epcot. Last time I was here it was EPCOT! We gather our things and head over to the gates. We snap a few pics and I get out our cards…Dh had his and I had one for me, for Cindy and….uhhh where is Liz’s?? I go thru my fanny pack and Grumpy is looking at me. Hmmm lets try this again…me, Cindy and empty card holders. I break out in a cold sweat and my stomach flip flops. Where the heck is Liz’s card? I look thru everything…and to this day…I never found it. It wasn’t back at the hotel or nuttin. I look all over for it and nada…zilch…finito…how does Dora say “gone”?

OK plan B. How do we get thru the turnstiles? Well, I made a quick plan on the spot. Keep in mind we did have a card for Liz and she was paid for, it’s just that Disney didn’t know that so I did what any mom would do to save the day. I put both kids in the double stroller and gave Cindy’s card to Liz and I had mine and DH had his and we prayed. I smiled sweetly and acted cool as a cucumber except I was freaking out on the inside. The CM didn’t blink an eyelash and we were in like flynn. Yahoottyyy!!!


It was 8:45 am and the cattle drive was on! We all rushed for nothing cause they had another rope drop anyways. The charactors were greeting the people at the rope and in a few minutes we were off. The itinerary for today called for Soarin FP (course now we could only get three and Liz would only get to ride once) and then head for Test Track and a do baby swap. If I were thinking straight instead of being so rattled I would have also gotten babyswap for Soarin…oh well. I was just grateful to be in Epcot.

(As an aside…what does Disney do if you loose your Key to the World? Anyone know???)


So we get to TT and DH and Liz get in line…(5 min actually). I obtain a baby swap and head in the out door for the gift shop and car area. We really enjoyed checking out the cars. They had a nice third row seat Pontiac something or another with leather etc which would really be great for me…well all except the $35,000 price tag. Yucky. DH and I don’t do car payments so this is completely out of the question. Oh well…it was fun to dream.

Day 6 - Daytime Epcot Continued​

Grumpy and Liz return and now its my turn with Liz on the Test Track. We FP it this time with the baby swap and there is no wait. Cool cue area again….what little I see of it. Wow what a great time this ride was….I was laughing thru most of it cause it just cracked me up…it just struck me as funny….and then wham….we hightail it out of there on the fast track! Yippiee!!! Weeeeeee! Don’t miss this one folks!

We join up and head out at 9:55 am. Wow all of that took an hour! So next up was the Living Seas and Nemo. We get there and snap a pic….near the Mike Mike Mike…darn seagulls. (I actually hate the reals ones at the boardwalk. They are mean and will practically attack you to get to your fries or funnel cake. ) So there is very little wait for Nemo which is great because the cue area was long but interesting once again. We board our clam shells. Cindy, Liz and Grumpy went in the first one and Belle and I went in our own. We snuggled! It was the bestest! We really enjoyed the music and the scenes. It was too short actually!

We wondered a bit and looked at the tanks and decided Turtle talk was next. We were near the front of the line and it seemed we had to wait forever. It was probably only 10 or 15 min but we had seats right up near the front with the kids on the floor in front of us. How cool is this show??? OMGosh the expressions on Crush’s face..hahahahaha. The girls all enjoyed it and so did I actually.


We exit to find it hot and humid out…of course its 10:45 am! Our FPs for Soarin were ripe as a peach now so we snap a pic or two and grab the stroller and head up the hill to the Land! We park the stroller and head inside. I tell DH to take Liz and I would ride by myself but sweet Grumpy volunteered to go it alone. So I take the girls on the oldie but goodie…Living with the Land. To think this used to be the big attraction here at Epcot! We loved our boat-ride. The scenes were familiar and I loved the part when we reached the greenhouses. Wow did you see that ONE tomato plant? And the Mickey pumpkins? Suddenly we stop. Ummmm…ok. And we hear…”Please do not exit the boat; we will be moving momentarily”. No problemo. We had a good 10 minute stop! We even drifted backward for a while. Hmmmmm I hope DH stays in one spot so we can find each other. Evenually all is well again and we continue our voyage forward and finish up the ride. We did find DH and he realized there was a ride malfunction so he waited for us. At this point it was about 11 am.

Next it was our turn for Soarin! DH takes over parental duties while Liz and I walk the way of the FP. This is fun! We get to the end and wait a bit. They called for some singles. And then they called for a party of two. Someone went and we waited another 5 min. They called for another pair and that was us! We get out of line and follow the nice CM. Unbelievably, he sends us to Row 1! Score!!!! We thank him and wait a few more minutes and then we enter. We are the last two seats of the center section, front row….can’t get any better than that baby! We kick off our crocs and put on our seat belts. I really looked forward to this ride and it didn’t let me down one bit. This had to be my favorite all time rides ever. Partly because I used to have dreams of flying and would hate to wake up from them. The other thing is I have only been to California once and it was cool to see it from this angle.

Upon exiting, our plan called for lunch and I was thinking of doing CS over in Mexico. However, Sunshine Seasons was right here and I heard really good things about the food. Plus, the Chinese noodles looked yummy. So at 12 noon we found a table and dug in. I went up first and got the kids their meals. They had mac and cheese, grapes, drinks and a Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie. DH and I had the two entrée, two sides over at the Asian window. That folks was a lot of food. I had chicken ,brocolli ,noodles and rice (I think) and drinks and cookies too. It was all very yummy! We were stuffed!

So we had managed to get everything done we wanted to and it was time to head out for a rest. We head to the bus at 12:35 pm, wait about 15 min and arrive back at POR at 1:05 pm. I look for Liz’s Key to the World Card everywhere. Nope…its officially G-O-N-E! Oh well…I was too tired to do anything else right now. We all relax and the girls nap which is good. Did I mention that ceiling fan and light-blocking shades and nice cool AC yet? Ahhhhhh!

I'm glad to know what you guys thought of Test track. My kids didn't want to go on it, because it looked scary/fast. But I'll just tell them it's like our go-kart, but much better.

Great thinking Cathy! I would have done the same thing if I were in your shoes, regarding the lost KTTW card.
I left Maddie's KTTW card back in the room last year. I had to jump off the bus hoof it back to the room and taxi over to MGM to meet up with the rest of the group. Not fun!
