Don't know if it is true. DW said she read on some FB groups that CMs confirmed private tables are coming to an end. If true (I hope not) this means the 3 seating things is over as well.

To be clear, there never were 3 seatings. Just some chat (which I'd put slightly above Disney bus driver level accuracy) that they might be doing it. Honestly I don't think they ever would have - people would complain about eating at 3:30/4 or 9:30/10.

It wasn't just speculation and rumors, though. Disney asked about it on the end-of-cruise surveys.

Asking about it and verifying it was going to be implemented are very different things though. They (the cruiseline and WDW) have asked about many things they were pondering on surveys and not all have come to pass.

Sure, but it's not remotely the same thing as the unfounded rumors that bus drivers and others raise.

I said this because we're on the “three dining times” thread, and while nobody seriously think they will do it, with the return of shared tables, this thread probably comes to an end.

This is an old post, but I’ll add this. I got off the Fantasy on April 30th. We were a table of 6 family. We had a previous server so gave us lots of info and tips. On our second night at animators we had a different size table. It was oval and not as wide as our previous table. Our server told us they are in the process of purchasing new larger, thinner tables for larger groups so that they can use the other tables for parties that are now asking for private tables. The thinner tables are taking less space. All the regular tables are 4 tops. She said they are doing their best to accommodate all of the private table requests.
