three decades of waiting completely revamped with pics

I really should. The closest I got was Ikspiari in Tokyo Disney Resort.
And reptiles tail grow back! It's a small Nuben (Slang term for it). It's a small cartiladge bump with a stuble! (By the way: I work at a Zoo, and I'm now transfered into the new Reptile Wing).

I know the tail grows back, that's why Griswold should get over it, he had a nice plump tail when I saw him, he just likes to hold a grudge, let's face it wouldn't you be offended if someone ripped your tail off even if it did grow back?:confused3

Cool that you work at a zoo.

What ever, we all know how snooty the Creol can be:snooty: . And thank you, I'm actually a Jr Docent. I worked there for a year before I took the 6 week course to become one. And it is so worth it.

Kent woke me around 6:30pm, he asked me how I was feeling. I told hom sore and tired but give me a few minutes and I will get ready for Sci-fi.
I asked where the kids were just as they came running into the room all excited over the prizes they got from the ticket trades in the arcade. Jim had gotten a clock that had lights for the numbers but was on a mirror so it created the illusion of a long lit tube, pretty cool! Reese had gotten a bunch of keychains and pencils and 2 disney mugs, she planned to give the mugs to one of her teachers and to the school prinicipal (honestly she is not a suck up, she is just well liked by everyone and likes everyone in return) she gave me a goofy keychain, and a pen. The kids were so excited and ready to return to the arcade, so I told them to be back in the room in an hour so we could head over to MGM together. They said they didn't want to go, it was our last night there and they wanted to spend it hanging out in the resort, then Kent spoke up and said he would rather take it easy that night as well, all three left the final decision up to me... I was still quite tired...and my feet ached to the core...and the AC in the room felt so good. I decided to just spend the last night there relaxing too.
None of us were up for another meal at everythings pop, so we decided to order pizza, breadsticks and salads for Reese and I.
The kids who couldn't wait to take off all of a sudden wanted to stay and hangout with the parents:confused3 Reese said she was going to miss Disney, and Jim completely surprised me by saying it was a fun family trip and he would go again someday, just not too soon. Kent...well Kent is an Ogre and said he couldn't wait to leave, so I did what any Disney loving wife who wants to set an example for her kids would do, I hit him with a pillow, and that started the big ole pillow fight, it started out a free for all but then ended up girls against the boys, Reese got hit so hard she flew into the wall with such a thud I thought for sure she cracked her ribs, but that kid bounced right up and walloped Jim in the face. It was fun, I giggle when I think about it.
After the pillow fight the kids ran down to fill up our mugs, they got back to the room the same time as our pizza.
I love how everything is Disney, they make sure of it, I honestly think they should make the pizza shaped like Mickey heads, that would rock!

Love it! If I could of fit in the scrapbook I would, but instead I settled for a picture of it, same with the bag the breadsticks came in, I did take a napkin though and used it on the page where I scrapped our pizza feast.

THe pizza was good, I will definatley order again next time I go back. After we ate we tried to put some order to the room and pack up stuff that we wouldn't be needing anymore, we left out our bathing suits, towels and clothes for the next day, Kent took a bunch of stuff to the van, the more we got done tonight the less we would have to do in the morning.
All was done and it was still early so the kids decided to go for one last swim, Kent and I went to the pool to watch. It was a great night, not too humid, just a hint of a breeze. We didn't talk, we just held hands and watched our kids behave like civilized humans, they were tossing a nerf ball and just laughing and carrying on like there was no tomorrow.
Other moms will understand me when I say that watching your kids get along with eachother and just seeing them laugh and smile without a care in the world is one of the most calming feelings, it brings such a peace to me.
Eventually the kids had had enough and were looking prunish so we all went up to the room, the kids walking infront of us still talking like best friends and not sibling rivals.
They changed and wanted to go fill up with some frozen coke, we all wanted to, we took our time, I didn't feel a need to rush and I wished I had discovered that sooner on in our trip, I was realizing that, yeah, we're at Disney, My dream come true, and there is so much to see and do, but the best parts regardless of what was going on at the time, were the parts spent just enjoying my family and watching them have fun.
We got our drinks and as we were leaving we heard the first boom, it was the fireworks from Epcot, we made it up to our room but stood outside to watch, I did go get my camera and only took one picture
jam023.jpg

I don't want this night to ever end, it's so perfect. THe fireworks came to an end and we all went back inside, Kent said we should get to bed earlier because tomorrow was Blizzard Beach and he wanted to be the first one there.
I was thinking he finally got hit with a little Disney Magic, I asked him about it and he said, "no, the sooner we get there the sooner we can leave." Whatever, we had plans to stay at BB until 3:00pm then we had 4:00pm ADR's at Planet Hollywood, even though at that time they did not participate in the DDP, we still wanted to go. Then we would hit the rode and drive till about 11:00pm and find a hotel in whatever city we ended up in.
So finally around midnight the lights went out, there was some idle chit chat and giggles here and there but they slowly faded. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, I was thinking about all we had done and seen and then like a ton of bricks it hit me. What about Mickey? I had yet to see him.
Me: Kent do you think we could stop at MK real quick tomorrow.
Kent: what are you nuts?
Me: Please, I never got to see Mickey.
Kent: won't he be at Blizard Beach?
Me: I don't know
Kent: if you don't see him at BB, then I will take you to MK but we will need to skip Planet Hollywood.
Me: kids is that o.k.?
Kids: sure/whatever.
Me:Thanks I love you all 45+pink dollars

sidenote to explain 45+P$ When Jim was in second grade I would help him do his math homework in the evenings, we were working on word problems, Reese was in kindergarden and would get jealous of the time I would spend with Jim, afterall she had me to herself for so long before she started school and even then she still had mornings with me. Well Reese went over to Kent and said "I love you 45+ Dad." and Kent asked 45+ what?" "well pink dollars of course." "How much is that?" asked Kent
"All the love in the world." So now we say that to eachother and sign all our notes to eachother that way.

Kent:I love you more
Me: I love you most

This can go on all night with the kids joining in "I love you to the moon and back.

I know Disney does somthing to you but it's the last night there that makes you sappy!

next installment should I call an ambulance? I know...cliffhanger, I learned that from Jake and Crew!

Evil!!! pirate:

Lovely report.... sappy, silly.... yet sad (yay for alliteration!) So who needs the ambulance? Reese's ribs broken by pillows? Your blistered feet? Room service pizza?? What??? :surfweb:

No fair, no fair.....Jake & Crew only gives cliffhangers.....we don't take them so well, just ask the butler!

Get on with the story dear woman!!!!

MarionI'm keepin you on edge huh? evil me!!!!

Jake & Crew The butler and I are no longer speaking. As far as not being able to "take" the cliffhanger...muahahaha.

What a great episode. :)

other moms will understand me when I say that watching your kids get along with eachother and just seeing them laugh and smile without a care in the world is one of the most calming feelings

I hadn't put my finger on what it was before but you're so right, it really is a calming feeling, to watch my boys laugh together and look out for each other. When they argue and fight, it stresses the whole family out.

I was thinking he finally got hit with a little Disney Magic, I asked him about it and he said, "no, the sooner we get there the sooner we can leave."

:headache: So it's the last night and he's still not converted? Noooooooooo......

I love you all 45+pink dollars

:goodvibes That's fabulous! :cloud9:

That girl is a bad example. (;) I'm going to have to separate you two. :hyper2: :lmao:

DebIreland I wish everday could be Disney where my kids actually get along. But you know, now that Jim has a serious girlfriend, he is so nice to everyone, especially Reese, I think the boy is in love.
I don't think DH will ever convert but he has at least accepted the fact that his wife is a Disney addict and no longer complains about my late hours on the Dis.

Tinkerbell1013 you say you're an addict as if it's a bad thing. More is coming real soon. Just breathe deep and think of flying elephants. :)

Man what suspense. what drama. does she see the mouse in the house. or will it be for naught. man you can cut the suspense with a knife. sitting by the computer just waiting for the big answer to the biggest question....:surfweb:

You are so killing me!!! I have spent every free moment of my time (which isn't much with a 7 month old) reading your entire TR! :goodvibes Crazy, silly, fun! More enjoyable than an episode of The Office! (yes, you can use my quote on the back of your soon to be published Disney Memoirs! :rotfl: ) Anyway, can't wait for more. It's just like a soap opera...."On the next Days of Our Disney Trip"....:hourglass

I am sorry for dragging out the suspense, honest it is not my intention to be "killing" you all, Reese has me so busy with her new cheer squad getting ready for nationals in Myrtle Beach, and today is Jim's B-day, I will finish this up within the next few days.

Hollywoodhaha Thanks for reading, I think you're awesome for thinking I'm awesome!

SpaceMountain Hold on there Dainon, Don't you die on me man!

buzzlightwait the big answer to the big question is on it's way, But do you care to take a guess? :)

xoprincessmomxo Thank you for the compliment, that was a huge one too, and you can bet I will quote you on the back of my book now, people will buy it just for that. Yeah, it is like a soap opera in so many ways....

Will Ty see the mouse? What will she do when she realizes that Goofy is really her long lost son the one she always wanted, but never had. Will Kent escape Disney with his brain intact or will he fall victim to the Disney curse and become a hopless Disney addict like the millions before him. And what of Jim? Does he really exist or is he just a prop? What about Reese? Does she disown her family and move in with the seven dwarfs? Tune in for the answer to these questions tomorrow on Days of our Disney trip.

OK Nice cliffhanger!:thumbsup2 Just back from our trip to the world and getting caught up! I can't believe you even attempted all of those stairs at Blizzard Beach with the condition your feet were in! Cannot wait to hear the rest! I hate the sadness of last day reality too:sad2: For me though it start way too early! Usually 2-3 days before it's over!:sad1:

Your story is soooo wonderful! Thank you for sharing it with us. I hope you see Mickey. And I can't stop thinking about the lizard in the room. That happened to us once when we stayed by the beach after a Disney trip. I could not relax until he was no longer a roommate!!! I guess it's something you get used to if you live there....

Can't wait to read more!!!

When I see a trippie that looks good I often go ahead and copy it all and print it out, then enjoy it when I can't be on the computer. Well I've got yours now and so far, I'm loving it :yay: ! Now I have to get back here now and then to check out your pic's once more. Just now after giggling with laughter at the slippers bit, I thought maybe I'd get to see a pic of you in MK with them on but oh well, the laugh from your discription alone was worth the price of the ink and paper! Bet they looked nicer than those ugly crocs though eh!

Thanks and keep writing please :thumbsup2, it's wonderful stuff :thumbsup2 !

More please! I am totally addicted to your TR. And Reese's is great, too! Can't wait to read more from both of you. As my husband would say: Your TR's are so McDonald's. (I'm lovin' it) :thumbsup2
