Threads that bombed!!!

Have you ever started a thread that absolutely no one responded to??? I did the other day about LA Weight Loss...just curious what other topics may have bombed Please share, my self esteem is plummeting !!!

Don't blame yourself, it happens to just about everyone here at some time. I really think that it is because the Community Board is so fast moving, it gets moved to page 2 very quickly. Some people only have time to scan the topics that are currently on page 1.

In any case, I have found that you can never gauge how well a topic is going to go over. It just depends who is on the board when you first post it. I have posted really inane topics before that got over 100 responses, and topics that I thought were really thought-provoking which only got a couple of responses.

Keep trying!

many times its the timing more than the topic. If there are alot of people on when you post, it could very quickly get to page 3 before you know it!! Just keep trying!!

I HATE THAT!! It's happened to me. What I usually do is go to that person's post to see if maybe we were posting at the same time. It irritates me when that's not the case--I was just being ignored. Oh well, I'm sure it's nothing personal !

Oh yeah! Happens all the time. Games, threads...whatever. You aren't alone. As some have stated, this board moves fast, so if there aren't any replies, it drops to page 2 or 3 real fast.

I'll post on yours if you post on mine!

It's even worse when you respond on a topic with lots of replies...then no one else posts anything after yours. Then it's like what did I say that scared everyone away.

Theres a thread entitles "Anyone feel like a threadkiller?" and it keeps getting bumped up and has about a bazillion replies! Seems no one wants to let someone ELSE kill the thread!

But I know exactly what you mean... I always figure what I have said is so profound that no one could possibley think of anything to top what I had to say...

OMG! I was just thinking of that song a few days ago. But I couldn't remember the worm part !

Some of my threads go down like a lead weight and I can kill a good thread at any old time!

I hate when I say something, someone comes along like 2 posts later and everyone after that person says, "Yeah, what ------ said ... she/he knows what they're talking about ... great post other person than Saffron ... yadda ... yadda ..." Then I feel ignored, sinking, INVISIBLE and totally stooopid! But I keep coming back! LOL!

You know SC, I noticed this also which is quite sad since it's adults doing it.
