threads most useful for packing/prepping?

Okay so I am pretty new here on Disboards and was wondering....which threads did you find the most helpful for planning the trip out and packing for the trip? I'm a crafty person and enjoy planning and prepping projects so I am looking for neat ways to organize and plan for this trip and the best possible ways to pack 8 people for a 10 day trip without checking bags...or checking a few bags as possible...which threads are the best places to start? Any suggestions?
