Somehow I don't think it's fair that Pepper is at the Fort and I'm not. I have a trip planned for Thanksgiving, but with the new job I doubt that will happen. I hope she has a great time. The fort is the only place I will stay.


The new job is going good, but I work next to a real jerk. I have only been a service advisor for about 6 weeks and he just hates it that I can sell the heck out of auto service. I beat his numbers just about everyday and he hates it. He will now take one of my appts and change it from my number to his. I think that is a crappy thing to do. I may stay there until November, quit, take my vacaion and then go work somewhere else. My husband said to blow him out of the water on sales and make him be he one to quit. We will see.

Gotta go and find some ice cream. I am thinking chocolate.

I'm sorry you have to go through that at work! There is nothing worse than working next to someone that you can't stand! I agree with your DH-show that jerk up and make him leave! You go girl!

MagiKitty-I agree that is a big price jump for the photoshoot. I really have to rethink this one. Even more so since now you can't add all the cute little borders to them.

kim-Hey, how are you doing? Missed you around here. I agree with your DH too. Kick that dude's butt and show him up!!! Make his sorry butt quit.

We took the 2 little ones to a classic car show today. Even though it wasn't very hot out, it always seeme to be very hot there. The girls did get to meet the guy who drives that monster truck "Gravedigger". DH was pretty happy about that.

They did have a nice arts & crafts section at the car show. Check out my new picture frame...

I can't wait to fill with this years vacation pics.

Hi Kim! We were wondering about you, so thanks for checking in. Sorry about the jerk co-worker, there always seems to be one. But by changing appointments, he's playing downright dirty. There's a reason you're more successful than he is--you're better at it! Don't go down without a fight, you show him he can't pull off that kind of garbage and get away with it.

aleciajab, its so good to see you back with us. We've had a few persons join us TKer for a day or two and then disappear. I hope you're not one of those! Mmmm...cheesecake factory. Should be illegal, its so good. May I ask what flavor cheesecake you got (I have to get my jollys somehow)?

whgrn, will you have a car in DL? Will you see LA at all? I've only been to LA and if you have kids I'd try to squeeze in LaBrea tar pits, really cool. Otherwise, isn't Knotts Berry Farm there? Sea World? Look into the Southern California Citypass. Its $250 and has a three day pass to Disneyland, a pass for California Adventure, Sea World, Universal Studios, and San Diego Zoo. Its a great bargain. I try to use Citypass whenever I can.

I was so lonesome yesterday? I began to panic that I had killed the TKer thread, but I guess I just put it in sleep mode. I was not impressed by the closing Olympic ceremony. It was like they put all the effort into Opening Ceremonies and just kinda winged it last night. But it was a good two weeks!

I hope Pepper isn't too affected by Faye. I've been thinking about her.

Had a busy weekend, nothing to exciting Dbil was over with his kids Sat. and Sun. did get some candles made! Can't believe Labor Day weekend is next week. Getting nervous about the schools, two kids changing in one year It really is more then I can take. Okay will check in later.

Good Morning!!!! It's the first day of school and even though DD only went at 9am, I'm bored already. It is just way too quiet in here.

disney54us-Up until a few years ago we used to start after Labor Day and it was great. We have a big fair this week and I used to be able to take the kids up there during the week. Kind of miss those days. Everything will be fine with the kids.

aleciajab-missed you last night. I thought everyone had signed off before I was able to sit down here. I agree it's way more to plan for the trip than doing anything else. Looks like "Mr. Busch" may be in a little trouble after Saturday's race.

Don't know about a car yet. It would probably make sense since we aren't doing just DL. Never heard of the citypass--that could be a good idea! I'll have to take a look. Thanks! BTW, that's another reason I think staying OFF property is a better idea. With only 1/2 our time at DL, it seems a waste to stay on site.

I thought the closing ceremonies were just plain WEIRD!!! What the heck was that tower thing with people crawling all over it? We all thought they looked like cockroaches!! Anyone have nightmares about bugs last night?? I DID enjoy the interview with Michael Phelps in London though. He is just so adorable! Did you see the commercial with his Mom? Priceless!!!

Today we are off to Wildwood. A food NIGHTMARE for me! But all the walking should help. We're going to one of the waterparks. Last year I couldn't do much there. This year, I'm going on the SLIDES!!!!

Question for y'all. Have any of you been to DisneyLAND? I know we're all WDW vets, but I'm planning to take my kids to DL next summer, and wondering where should we stay? How many days in the parks? What else should we do out there besides DL and LEGOland?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

We stay off site across the street (Harbor Blvd), lots of reasonable hotels and the walk to the park isn't bad. You really need a car if you plan to see anything else. Knott's Berry Farm is near by. Universal is north, you'd have to drive through most of LA. Legoland, SeaWorld are in San Diego, about 2 hours away. We used to make a weekend trip to San Diego to see SeaWorld, and San Diego Zoo. No Legoland back then. The Zoo is in Balboa Park where there are museums and botanical gardens. Disneyland is smaller than MK, you could do it in one day but it's better to do two days in the summer. California Adventure can also be done in one day. I think the last time we went we took three days and saw every thing. I never go in the summer though.

I should have multiquoted. I'll never remember it all and who said what but...I was glad to see some not as frequent posters on. We get worried if we don't hear a peep every now and then.

Pepper was chatty before going...hoping her weather is good. I do love Easy Spirits. I have 3 outlets nearby. And they do have different styles sometimes.

I know someone asked if anyone was a HOG biker. I've never ridden a motorcycle but I do have a small pig collection.

And I do remember loving those sewing cards. I never had a lunchbox though. I had to walk home for lunch in elementary school.

The only Mickey ears hat I have is the furry Santa one. They were sold out of the ones I wanted at Christmas. It's neat how you can design your own hats now.

D&D---I'm so sorry no one was there for you over the weekend. I'm at Mom's every weekend and have no computer accessibility. Shame on Racetrack!

Kim--How can he get away with changing your numbers? We'll put the TK curse on him. (Someone figure out what it can be...fast!) How about this?

MagiKitty--You are just so kind to allow your BF to have such an important part in your planning.

And Yes, I had to take Jr out of my siggie so my ticker could fit in. I got mom to commit and say she was going. She had so many excuses like she needs new furniture. She said she woud decide in Sept. I came back to her several times with things like I need to know so I can get plane tickets before they sell the cheap ones. Our friends go to the candlelight processional-If I had to fly alone, I would have gone in Dec so I would have needed to let them know when. She finally said yes. I'm going to drive. My friends were so excited. So I just had to get a ticker. There's not much special going on...do not want to do Soap Opera weekend. I think it'll be the last weekend of food and wine festival. I really didn't care if there's anything special. Being there is special.

Thanks! You gals are all so great -it would be impossible to stick around for only a couple days. This time of year is always crazy busy for me, but I'll try my hardest to stay caught up! Amen on CF should be illegal! I ate way too much there both times! Let's see flavor...I got vanilla bean the first time and white chocolate carmel macadamia nut last time. Both were to die for! DH had Key Lime-that was super good too!

Shhhhh!!!! I do not talk about Kyle when he has had a bad race because someone doesn't know how to pass cleanly.

Actually, I agree he was acting like a big baby. Carl passed him the way he has passed alot of others this year.

aleciajab-Kyle was leading and Edwards bumped him to pass him for the lead. After Edwards won the race, Kyle came up and bumped him 2x so Carl came back and spun out Kyle. I think they were both wrong for doing this after the race. But we know Kyle is always wrong.

Oh, that's cool. But remember, it's really suppose to be "Nationwide" series. Yeah, right! I still call it the Busch series and most likely always will. Still can't get use to calling it the Sprint Cup either. Doesn't sound right. Maybe they will change the name next year again to something I like better. lol

I was looking on the photography board. Someone has 6 polls to vote for favorite nighttime photo. They were really good. It was hard to pick some of them. I think I picked all castle pictures. My philosophy is You can never have too many castle pictures! I just love it.
