DS10's box never seems to make it through the year. :headache: Just saw that they have some of those retro metal lunchboxes I used to have years ago. Wonder if that would stand the test of Nick?

Yup, still here. Just haven't had time to check in. I think I'm gonna have to give up on keeping up, and just skim the last page like I just did. You guys'll have to fill me in when I've got no idea what's going on.

I always had a lunchbox... until jr. high when it was WAY cooler to brown paper bag it. That was always a big treat every year getting to go out and pick out a brand new lunch box. It was one of my Mom's back to school splurges. Funny what makes you so happy as a kid.

Whoever asked, I remember Holly Hobby. I didn't have a lunchbox though. But, I think I used to have some of her on those "sewing cards" that had holes around the edge for you to put string in and out of.

Ok, gotta run. I have a few errands to run on the way home, and I promised DS I'd be home for bedtime stories.

Hi everyone! Leaving in the morning to drive halfway!!! We are so excited!!! We are going to have internet so I will try to pop on from time to time to say hi.

I showed Kendall all of your "congrats" and she said...direct quote.."Awwww, they are all so sweet." She said "thank them for me please".

Bopsmom- Sounds like it is all working out. I am glad to hear that. Now the hard part (shopping) is over!!!

Pikster- I know two days!!! And one of them is a travel day and that is just as much fun!!!!! Tomorrow!!!!:woohoo:

I gotta go finish packing.

Has anyone stayed at Wilderness Lodge? I have a dilemma....

I've read the getting to MK by bus is easier for a disability, bypassing the TTC and going straight to the maingate. On our MK day, we've joined a Wishes cruise that leaves from WL. So I thought that we'd take the boat from MK to WL. But after the cruise, what then? Do we take the boat back to MK? And catch the bus from there? Does the boat take us to TTC or to the MK gates?

Should I just take the car to both MK and WL? I'm afraid of getting us stuck somewhere...

Bopsmom, so glad you found clothes. Sounds like a Pretty Woman moment! ooh, shoe shopping. Have fun for all of us!

Magikitty, check this out...I may have shown it to you already. It totally rocks!!! Gives you all the options for getting around:

Sounds good to me. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately I'm always 2-3 pages behind. :sad2:
You probably have hypothyroid (I do). it makes it harder to lose weight. That is what I'm trying to lose now. I worry about my DH developing diabetes and I tell him it's easier to watch what he eats now than later when he has to.

YEP!!!! The Dr called today and said that is what it is. He said 5 was normal and my test was a 6.75. He said I still have to diet and exercise but the medicine he is going to give me will help speed it up, AND my energy level will increase. Positive note, I was NOT pre-diabetic!!!

Round 2 :flower3:

Oh, I don't know if you guys remember but I am planning a huge party for our companies 25th anniversary. Today the CEO emailed and said he wants to have Rum and the Rum guy has Pirate giveaways and he wants me to theme it a little to fit pirates....Now THAT I can handle ha ha. I am so excited!!!

OMG!!! I remember those sewing cards. Man, we though we were doin' somthin'! :rotfl: You will probably be a new Mommy when I get back!!!!! Take care of yourself and little Lightech!!! I will think about ya!

Pepper your gone by now, have a great trip.

Not yet, still here until tomorrow morning. :yay: :yay:

Morning!!!

pepper-I didn't get a chance to tell you last night but I hope you and and your family have a wonderful trip. Tell DD CONGRATS from me too.

disney54us-nobody knows who monkeyboy is. He(?) shows up on the community board and post all these strange and wacky threads. Last night, some were about passing gas, are candles in the bedroom romantic, is your house haunted. Sometimes it's just nice to see some funny threads on the CB instead of all the drama.

Thanks...twice!

Some think that the mythical Monkey Boy is Pete. I dunno. He is kinda funny whoever he is.

It's way after 10 but I would not advise it if you're going shoe shopping. :lmao: Shoe shopping is fun but I am limited on shoes that are comfortable. I cannot get a closed in dress shoe to feel good anymore. My toes are too used to Easy Spirit ties I wore to school. Have fun...

Do you have to wear closed toe shoes? Heck, I wear flip flops to work ha ha. :upsidedow The easyspirit dress shoes are comfortable though. Here is a link! http://www.easyspirit.com/Shoes/2881093,default,sc.html

Look!!! I changed my siggie. I always though it was so depressing to get back from a trip and see that "Since Disney World" on the countdown ticker ha ha.

okay... for once I get on at night and the "ladies of the evening" are not here today. :headache:
Should I wait a few hours?????
Am I early????

Goodbye Pepper - Have a safe trip. :drive:

Hi Lighttech - Glad you're still hanging on (in) there.

Hello.....Hello....:mic: Is this thing on?????

M&N??????

Racetrack?????

Well...I hope you're happy....I'm left to play games and go look for strange threads. Even Monkey Boy is quiet tonight.

You all must be out painting the town or watching the olympic divers.

I'm tired of playing word association or ABCs of ____. I'm going to

I'm late but tell Kendall congratulations. That is fantastic.

Don't know if I mentioned it with all the teacher talk but I was going to college for Early Childhood Education. After I finish Home schooling my kids, I'm going back to college next year to finish degree and go back to teaching. It's in my blood.

Yea, I'm up and no-one is there to play. Next time I'll knock on everyones door to see if you can come out.:lmao:

Here are some lunch boxes to bring back memories.

I need to figure out best way for us to get to Wilderness Lodge also. We are doing the Hoop De Doo Revue.

I need to lose about 20 - 30 lbs too. Maybe we could all support each other. We did that for a while way back with exercising, what happened?:confused3

Sorry DN's room mate is a loser. I agree, room mate won't last long.

Pepper, guess you are on your way now. Save some Mickey Mouse bars for me and MagiKitty.;)
Oh, and Puny loves the party you are about to throw. Rum and pirates. Doesn't get better than that for him.pirate: :lmao:

Here in GA it's about 10 degrees cooler and cloudy. Guess we are in the outer limits of Fay. We actually turned our air off and opened up our windows. Very refreshing.:thumbsup2

Have a great weekend everyone. Relax and have fun.
Guess Racetrack is still celebrating this weekend since Monday her kids go back to school.:lmao:

Morning! Sorry I wasn't here last night to play. I was too busy yelling at 20/20 last night. Did anyone see it? It was about the rate of infant mortality in Memphis. Absolutely shocking!

I remember Holly Hobby too, but why was she famous? Did she have a show? A book? Did she even have a face?

Safe and happy travelling Pepper!

BF doesn't understand my "diet" (bless his heart). And, he reminds me, we have lots of eating to do on our trip. I told him I just want to break even!

Nice and cool this morning, with a nice warm up for the afternoon. Late summer, early fall is my favorite weather time of year (and I don't even have kids heading back to school! :rotfl: ). Its just gorgeous. But my fave time of year is the Christmas holidays. I just get out of control.

I'm getting my first Mickey Ears this trip! I'm very excited. Is there an elastic to keep it on? I have a big head, I hope it stays on.

Talk to you later everyone! Happy Saturday!

About the Hoop Dee Doo, when we went we took the bus from Pop to MK and from there took the boat(?) to Fort Wilderness. Make sure you get off at Fort Wilderness and NOT Wilderness Lodge. We then followed a path and all the other people who were attending the Hoop Dee Doo. Not sure if that is the easiest but we wanted to take a cruise and see the sights. Make sure to leave plenty of time for travel.

 hello D&DDisney, Shmu, lightech, Pikester, Bopsmom and pepperw23 (although I know she's on her way to WDW! :cool1: )
Yep, I've been :happytv: watching the Olympics.

What a day it's been. We spent the entire day cleaning. Well, at least the living room and our bedroom. We moved the furniture around. Got a new vacuum that actually works. Had to go and get the kids new sneakers and luckily, Payless has all their shoes buy 1, get 1 half off. Yesterday, I finally called the cable company to get my internet service fixed. And I also got my entire bill lowered by 75.00. :woohoo:

D&DDisney-You were here last night and I missed you. :sad1: I finally decided to do some work for DH on the computer and I missed you. I'll try not to let that happen again.

MagiKitty-I love Mickey ears hats. I don't have my own either. I think DH would look at me kinda funny if I decided to wear them. I guess it was ok the first year we went and he wore the Sorceror Mickey hat around the parks. :rotfl:

I know I missed quite a few of you so I'm just going to add

HI EVERYONE!!!

Off to pre-order my photopass cd. I heard rumors that they may be going up in price.

HI EVERYONE!!!

I keep hearing the same thing about the photopass CD. I do know that the sitting fees for the photo sessions that are taken at the resorts just went up by a bunch. The stuff in red is the new information. I got this information from the following link: http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass/

Disney Resorts Private Photo Shoot - You can arrange for private 30 minute photo sessions with a Disney's PhotoPass photographer at the Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge or Saratoga Springs Resort. The sessions includes around 40 photos (limited only by time) taken around the picturesque resorts and their beaches. NEW! Please note that as of August 23, 2008, Portrait sessions at the resorts are a separate entity from the Disney's PhotoPass system in the theme parks. While both Parks and Portraits use the same system for their photos, they are separate products. As such, the pricing structure has changed dramatically. There is no longer a discount specifically for guests who pre-order Disney's PhotoPass. Guests who pre-order the PhotoCD or purchase it within the theme parks can reserve a Portraits session for $74.95 with proof of purchase (either email or receipt). Guests wishing to purchase only the Portraits session on CD can do so for $149.95. Alternatively guests who purchase the Portraits session but then wish to combine photos from the Parks may do so by bringing their CD and PhotoPass cards to any resort location for a fee of $49.95 (bringing the total to roughly $200). Note that Disney's PhotoPass enhancements will not be available for Portrait session photos or any photos from the theme parks combined with it. Additionally, guests will no longer have the option of receiving their Portrait session photos on a Disney's PhotoPass card. Reports from guests who have participated in the photo sessions are overwhelmingly positive. Available times are seasonal, starting daily at 8 am until 7 pm or sunset, whichever comes first. Call 407-824-1700 to make reservations up to 30 days in advance or for additional information.

Not sure if this is what is causing everyone to think that the photo pass CD is going up or if that is a separtate issue. I tried to research a price increase and all I found was that the price for the CD had an increase about a year ago.

Thanks for that info, Pikester. That's a big jump in price and it looks like it wasn't announced ahead of time. Makes me wonder if they will do the same thing with the regular photopass cds. I ordered mine just in case. Now I have to decide if the photoshoot is worth it. It was nice when it was 25.00 but 75.00 is alot of money. That's almost what I just paid for the photopass cd.

Morning! I just finished watching the Gold medal game for Men's basketball. It was awesome! Spain really gave Team USA a run for their money--they're a physically bigger team and have that amazing Ricky Rubio who's only 17 years old and a NBA draft pick. It was great to see Team USA so moved by winning the gold for their country. These guys are superstars in their own right, but they put ego and pride aside to work together and win. I'm so looking forward to closing ceremonies tonight.

Wow! The photopass price really jumped! It tripled! They should have made a big announcement about such a price difference. Good thing you prepaid your Cd, Racetrack. And good for you to get the cable bill lowered!

I tried to be nice and save money by cancelling some of my excess TS, but BF thinks it may be our last chance to sample these meals, considering they're talking about changing the free dining to the CS plan. I secretly agreed with him but wanted him to have some input on our plans....:rotfl2:

Happy Sunday to everyone! :)

Ugh-I missed the bball gold medal game! Thanks for the great update on that magikitty! I'm usually NOT a bball fan, but these guys sure made it interesting.

We've had a lazy weekend around our house. DH and I hit Cheesecake Factory for our anniversary-that was super good! I had just eaten there the weekend before though with my good friend for her b-day. DH had never tried it so I agreed to go again-it was worth it. Don't know where I got the idea that we can afford it! :rolleyes1

I am really supposed to be working on getting stuff ready for football cheerleading at the middle school, but I'm just not feeling motivated with that right now. Way more fun to plan stuff for our trip!

I saw Mr. Busch took the #2 spot last night....we missed watching it.

I need to check my "ticker". I kept thinking the countdown was wrong. Unfortunately my "fixing" it made my trip be 2 more weeks away than I thought it was! Too funny! :rotfl:

Question for y'all. Have any of you been to DisneyLAND? I know we're all WDW vets, but I'm planning to take my kids to DL next summer, and wondering where should we stay? How many days in the parks? What else should we do out there besides DL and LEGOland?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

whgrn-I'm sure you can see from my siggie that I've been there, but it was many moons ago and I wouldn't be able to give you any helpful info except that I had a BLAST there! :)
