I will fully admit that I own Crocs and have been known to wear them. And I also think they're rather funny looking. My summer footwear is plastic and rubber anyway, between flip flops and Crocs. But I will also admit that I've gotten my Crocs super cheap when Boscov's around here was going out of business. To each their own and I fully respect that.

My philosophy about shoes is wear what feels good. I never worry about how shoes look---it's the feel that counts and crocs feel awful on my feet. Flipflops even make my feet sweat. I have no problems if the toes have socks and shoes.

Afternoon!!! Just got done trying the wedding dresses on all the girls. The ones that stepmom liked had to be ordered online. The all fit perfectly and we won't need any alterations.

Shmu-It's Pedro! It's Pedro! He looks like he is capable of getting into a little trouble too. Hope Puny and Pedro don't give you too much trouble touring the World together. Sorry about your knee. Hope you feel better soon.

MagiKitty-Please accept my sincerest apologies for referring to David as your boyfriend. I promise to never make that mistake again.

The wedding is August 16th. Nope, no shoes yet. But my stepmom is very, very laidback about all this. She told us just to pick our own shoes to make sure they are comfortable for us.

Oh, you wouldn't have sounded insane. Heck, I have arguments with my 5 year old whether Johnny Depp is her boyfriend or mine. And she always wins since she will always point out that I'm "married to Daddy" and can't have boyfriend.

Didn't mean to start a debate here about Crocs. I trully mean no disrespect to anyone who wears them or enjoys them. To each their own. I just enjoy making fun of the shoe and will, from now on, direct all my comments to the shoe only. Just hope it doesn't develop a complex.

We had a nice day here in NH. Mostly sunny skies with a slight breeze.

DH and DS11 just went to the hospital to visit DH's Dad. He has an infection again near his groin where he had surgery back in Feb. This is like the 4th time he has been in the hospital due to this! The infection is called Merceir. The poor man all ready has heart issues, diabetes, uses oxygen due to chronic bronchitis and enphezema and has leg issues due to artery blockage of the legs. He had a procedure done to help with the leg stuff which is how he ended up getting the infection. Now he can't seem to get rid of it!

Evening!!! Hope you all didn't mind that DD popped on over here. She knows about all of you and when I told her Bopsmom mentioned penpals, she was all for it.

I have to admit that I have crocs too. I have 2 pairs, niles and cleos. All 3 DD have 2 pairs also. I haven't worn them to spend the day at the parks but they are perfect for hanging by the pool. I also wear them when outside in the backyard with the kids. But I think the original clog style are ugly. Of course that could be because I have big feet and I look like I'm wearing clown shoes.

Pikester-First you're talking about the Trojan thread on here and what do I see now? I get to Sleep weeth Pedro! I get to Sleep weeth Pedro! And now you're blaming this all on DH? Yeah, sure!!! I'll be keeping your DH's Dad in my prayers too.

I went to a viewing today. My former principal's brother. He was 45 and had an aneurysm in his brain. His mother said he had complained about his eyes but didn't go to dr. He just fell over. One of the friends who was going with me was in the hospital with a blood clot in her lung. She's around 52. My other friend got a high cholesterol report back and she goes to the gym 5 days a week, plays golf, eats lots of salads and chicken. You just never know. Enjoy each day.

We had at least 4 inches of rain since Saturday am. The desert doesn't handle lots of water very well. We are ok, but a river in the mountains behind us has flooded. I think the weather is improving now. It hasn't rained for about 2 hours now.

So are you all dried out now? You have mountains behind you?? How cool is that??? (not a lot of mountains around the beach ha ha)

How old is your DD? Mine is 'buggin' about middle school starting. I hope she will calm down soon. I told her to remember when she sashayed into kindergarten? She knew nothing about the school or what to expect but she was happy and excited. Now she is older and should be excited about the new things coming her way.

Oooh...Big Brother is getting good! Gosh if I can't stand it when Jessie opens his mouth, I don't care how nice his body is.

On a more serious note, sorry for the sadness M&N. After BB, on Primetime they're re-airng the Last Lecture by Randy Pauch. It seems rather appropriate in the times we live in. Its inspiring and sad and I just ache for his family's loss this week. But Randy is watching over all of us now and is quite proud of all the goodness and love he's brought into our lives.
