My husband David Cook? Whatever will I tell my BF? And will he let me have some alone time with my husband? I may have to kidnap him from Shmu if that's the case....

I don't know whether to be happy or sad. Tomorrow I have to make my final payment for my September trip. It'll be great that my trip is finalized, but all that money leaving my account just saddens me....

Maybe my husband David Cook will give me hugs to make me feel better!

M&N...I LOVE that you go to all these great concerts. I just think its such a rewarding pastime. I just found out about another concert in the area in a few weeks. Darn if I didn't lose so much money at the casino this weekend (I took my Aunt three days in a row--what can I say? My dad's side likes to play the slots) I could just go buy my ticket....

My twins asked me if I could take them to take their driver's test this Wednesday. I'll have to juggle some stuff, but I can take them. But I wasn't going to let them take my car! My brother and I are going to switch cars for the day. I am freaking out! What if they fail? What if they pass? What if one passes and the other fails? I don't think I'm emotionally stable enough for this milestone.

I think tonight's eviction nomination was pretty lame. But I'd want to get Jessie out of the house too (he's the body builder). He's rather shallow and not that interesing. His favorite topic is....himself.

I'm sure everything will be fine with the driver's test. When they pass, give them a high five and a big hug and stop to get a root beer float on the way home to celebrate. And if they would happen to fail, still give them a big hug and still stop for the rootbeer float just to feel better.

thanks for the advice, Racetrack. I really don't know what I'm doing, and although I'm the Aunt, I don't want to do something improper. I'm torn--I want them to pass and get their licenses, but then they're going to be on the road! I don't know how I feel about that. This all kinda got sprung on me. Maybe I'm taking them coz their Mom is feeling too emotional about it too! I'll have to call my SIL tomorrow night...

Since I have a season pass, the concert is free. It just costs me gas and of course food money. I think Bowser's rock and roll show is next Sunday.

Just remember, you are just enabling the twins to get to the test...not the judge of who passes or fails them. Don't rub it in saying you made it the first time. Just be cool and calm. Tell them if it takes more than 1 try, you are there for them. If only 1 makes it---Just lie and say they have a quota that they have to fail every other one! (Racetrack says I can make up good excuses too!)

For Big Brother---Does the girl have a good following?

I have no idea who the flat TKer could be. I'm really curious too but I'm trying to be patient about it.

M&N, I knew you could come up with a good excuse. :lmao:

Are you referring to the other girl who was nominated? Her name is Angie, and I think she's a bad player. She's aligned herself with just about anyone and has a huge target on her back. I think she's the real person up for eviction and that Jessie is just a pawn. She's also not really entertaining, and that's a big drawback for me.

Thanks also for the advice. I am just the transportation, the enabler for them to take the test. I do not judge. I just hope. Gosh, I have anxiety. I need an antacid...

I think I need to hit the sack. Having visitors just throws a kink in my schedule and now I have to play catch up with everything else in my life! Good night everyone and see you tomorrow! Sweet dreams and fairy kisses!

Night MagiKitty!!!!

I have to be heading out myself. Kids wore me out today. Have to get up early tomorrow and clean the house like I was suppose to today.

Night M&N!!!!

Night ya'll...My head hurts so I'm calling it a day too.

The kids are at camp!!! The kids are at camp!!

Just for the morning, but still gives me some quiet time to get something done. Ahhh...who am I kidding...gives me time to get on the computer or just read a book in the silence.

We did do some "mattress shopping" this weekend (yes lighttech, that's what the kids are calling it these days ;) ) and we went looking for a mattress too.
BOY ARE THEY EXPENSIVE!!! It's just a bed for goodness sake. :sad2: Anyway, we found one at Verlo (not sure if this is just a local mattress place or not) They custom make a mattress the way you want it and they deliver and haul away for FREE!!! We thought this would be the most expensive place to look, so we left it for last. Glad we did cause it turned out to be the best deal and much cheaper than the big box stores.:thumbsup2 We're getting one that is a pillowtop and boy is it comfy. :cloud9: Feels like you're laying on a cloud. Won't be delivered until 8/11, but I'll be counting the days.

I'm okay with posting the flat TKers. Will be fun to see them. THE REST OF YOU NEED TO GET YOUR PICTURES IN!!! Won't be complete w/o you.
Surprize TKer you say.... No guesses here, yet.

Yeah! Congrats D&D on the alone time and hope the kids are having a great time at camp. Happy that you found your mattress. I agree, they're totally over priced! I know you're supposed to look at it as an investment--but its hard to think that way when you're looking at them. And delivery and haul away is key these days. Sounds like you got a great deal. And no, I've never heard of Verlo. Aahh...pillow top sounds lovely.

I thought I ate a huge breakfast: coffee, toast, fruit and cheese and yet I find myself absolutely RAVENOUS right now. Sadly, my tummy wants Mexican food, but I'm trying to convince it otherwise....

Hi:wave2:
So glad whgrn made it safely to Scotland. Hope she has a great time. Sounds like she's enjoying the kilts. :)
Sorry to hear the race was boring. I've thought that there was never enough passing.
The sun has come out so we don't need a :boat: Unfortunately 2 people are missing from the flooding that happened in a nearby town. :sad1: Lots of little bridges have washed away.

Geez, couldn't ya'll wait until the kids were at camp. ;)
DH and I might do some "shopping" too:thumbsup2 when DD is at her friend's sleepover tonight.:rotfl:

I will try to find a decent picture-I have been having terrible trouble with my thyroid disease this summer and don't look my best.

OK, I wanted to tell ya'll when I was sure; I got hired this weekend to be a ChaCha guide. (If you don't know what this is check out www.ChaCha.com) It's a cool concept and it's kinda fun too. Boy, it has expanded my knowledge base and allows me to be funny too. I will finally get a few pennies for my "vast:rotfl: " research skill and sarcasim-heck a Liberal Arts Major's gotta do what ya' gotta do. I just didn't want to be subjected to subbing this year. I still might sub but at least it's some Mad Money.:confused3

Have a great day. Check back later.

All this 'matress shopping' is getting carried away! ;) Hope ya'll are enjoying it. :rotfl: Really, around here there seems like a lot of stores springing up that sell just matresses. I just could not imagine the market was that great...after all, how often do you need one? It sounds like they did research and discovered a lot would be wearing out about now! :rotfl:

Pretty soon happy dances for kids are in school! You can do one for me too that I won't be. I am signing up to sub this year. It won't be too much since there are only 6 schools I'm going to do it for.

Bopsmon--don't worry about what your pic looks like. We don't judge by pics. If we did, I would have been kicked out a long time ago. It's what's inside that counts. And I don't have my thyroid to blame...just my hand inserting in mouth! Went to the ChaCha site. And you get paid? Sounds like a librarian for cell phones. How can they do that service for free? Do they get a cut out of the text messaging fee? I hope you enjoy it. You've been helping us out without getting paid...Thanks!

Good afternoon TKers!

Wow! I can't believe I haven't been by since Friday night. Well, I stopped by and read posts but I didn't do any posting. Went to DH's 20th reunion stuff on Saturday. There was a family cookout at 11am and an adult only dinner Saturday night. Towards the end of the night my DH said to me that it was great catching up with his fellow classmates but it reminded him of why he is friends with the people he is friends with now and not them. Since DH and I attended the same school I knew a few people there so I wasn't too bored. I was even able to ask a few of them about their younger brothers and sisters whom I graduated with.

Just got back from taking DS7 to his swimming lessons. I never learn! He always wants to sign up for stuff but then once it starts he doesn't want to do it anymore. He actually seemed to enjoy swimming lessons last year so I was willing to do it again. I think a little of it was because he got cold. Well, we'll try again tomorrow and see how it goes.

racetrack: Vacation plans do count as "housework"!

MaggiKitty: Good luck with the twins! Please let me know if they get their licenses so I can get out of the way!:rotfl:

Bopsmom: ChaCha looks interesting. I didn't get into to much but it looks like it's a helpful site.

D&DDisney: Have fun during your 3 hrs. It goes by so quickly!

whgrn: Thanks for checking in. I read your blog and can't believe all the excitement you had! Can't wait to hear more about it.

Hello disney54us, DL55, lighttech, pepper and M&N! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend however you decided to spend it.

DH watched a little of the race yesterday and he said that NASCAR is in trouble. Crappy tires, boring races and they aren't filling the stands like they use to. Who knows, maybe he's right.

The closest BJ's is 30 minutes away and the closest Sam's is 1 hour away. Neither is good for us. I usually shop at Wal-mart and Hannaford.

I think that's it. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone and if I did please forgive me. Please? :guilty:

Sorry to hear about the flooding and missing people. :sad1:It sure is amazing and scary what water can do to a place. Stay safe DL55

Thanks for the happy dance Bopsmom! ChaCha guide sounds fun. Good Luck! Alas though, I am not a walking knowledge base. My DH is and we often tease that he should go on a gameshow and make some money off it.

Magikitty - My tummy ALWAYS wants Mexican food. Don't deny the tummy!!!

Hi whgrn - Glad you arrived safely and are having a good time!

Hi Pikester and M&N :wave2: :wave2:

Okay...so there's this Croc thread entitled Croc Comments. I go to it (because you know how much I LOVE crocs :lmao: ) They have pics of these high heeled Crocs and people insisting that Crocs are not made of plastic but a polyresin (poly= aka plastic by another name) :rotfl2: Anyway, I post a funny comment about these and make fun of how poly is plastic in disguise and BANG...I get flamed for not liking all synthetic shoes.

Is it ever safe to venture off this thread??????

No it's not!

I just haaaadddd to go and see what you said. I'm with you! What's wrong with those people. All you did was point out that poly means plastic. I certainly didn't see where you expressed your deepest hatred of any shoes made from synthetics! :rotfl:

Sheesh!

Hey everyone! Just stopping in quick before I have to run out to the grocery store.

D&DDisney-I went to the thread you are talking about to read what you wrote. Absolutely nothing wrong with what you wrote. I would have been thinking the same thing. But don't you know by now that unless you of the selected few, you can't make sarcastic comments. Gee, you'd think you had said all crocs should have been melted down and turned into toy guns (and I'm only picking them because you know that would cause an uproar too). At least nobody called it a "personal attack" against a croc-wearing poster. You could've ended up with points. :rotfl2:

Thanks for the support. I guess I'm not one of the selected few and I'll never learn. What can I say...I'm a sucker for sarcasm. I am just waiting for another warning or points for being sarcastic. Sheesh!
For me, I guess I don't care what people think about what I wear. Heck, there's a fanny pack thread out there w/ people bashing those too and debating whether they are "in" or "out". Maybe I should post there and cry about how offended I am cause I still wear mine.

Now I have to go check out this Croc thread....I'll be back.....

I checked out the croc thread too...same old, same old. Not allowed to voice an opinion unless it agrees with theirs. I do think it is ride to put someone down for wearing those awful things just as it would be to do so to someone with a pierced nose. Just because my feet and nose would never be like that doesn't mean others cannot. :rotfl:

Saw there was a 2.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Milford, Hunterdon County this morning. I'm not sure where that is but they mentioned Easton and I know that is east of here. Is that near you Racetrack? I also saw a poor farmer's pumpkin crop that was destroyed by hail yesterday...also his field corn. Those poor little pumpkins had dents and the vines were awful too. The corn stalks looked shredded.

I put out a bird feeder out back today so I can see it from my office. I wonder if the birds will come. I have one out front that doesn't get much business. Just thought I had better water the flowers...
