ha ha. Tonights episode "The possessed computer" :rotfl2:

"Don't try and fix that computer. It has a mind of it's own. It was abducted by alien computers who were trying to learn about those who kill threads but it turns out they really don't want to kill threads, others on the DIS make them try and save threads but they do end up killing threads because they are just invisible friends afterall." To be continued....:surfweb:

I just keep hearing doors slam. Can you stop that feature when a friend signs on or off?

Reactrack: I hope she doesn't screw DS up this weekend. Had he mentioned she hadn't called? Then you hear about these poor little kids who are missing-like the one in Orlando now. It's just awful how selfish these people are to harm innocent kids.

Oh, don't ask me about turning anything off on the computer. If I happen to figure that out, I can never figure out how to turn it back on.

I think she will show up just hours late. No, he didn't bring up that she never called. I think right now he has conflicted emotions about what is going on. I almost think he is getting tired of being disappointed by her.

I saw the news about that poor little girl. I had to stay off those threads because some serious mean things would have come out of my mouth. I have no sympathy for anyone who harms a child. None whatsoever.

that is because we both know who his "real" Mom is...YOU! ;)

  Are you trying to make me cry? Sometimes it really stinks being the "stepmom" but it was part of package with DH. And though I may always be the stepmom, he is never my "stepson". He's just one of my kids.

Heck no! Just pointing out the obvious. You got this, I promise. In the meantime, here is a big ol' southern hug!

whgrn-That room sounds so pretty. You'll have to let us know how she likes it.

It really is lovely. I was gonna hang curtains in there tonite, but my DSis pointed out (rightly so) that all I would need to do is fall off the stepladder and that would ruin my dream trip. So I ironed them and laid them out on her bed, and I'll hang them when I get back. Every time I go in there it freaks me out, becuase it's just SO totally different!

whgrn: We need pictures of the room!

Don't forget your toothbrush. Oh, and don't forget any medications you might need. What about undies? Do you have enough for the whole trip?

I'l take pictures when it's all put back together--gimme a couple of weeks.

I DO have my toothbrush, and all my meds. i bought a new pack of undies so I'd have enogh. 12 pair in my suitcase!

Sorry got to vent here just a minute. I keep it all in because I don't want to say anything in front of DS

DS's mom is at it again. She hasn't called here in 2 weeks so DH called her at 9:30 tonight to see what is up for the weekend. Custody agreement is she gets DS for 3 weekends a month and one dinner date per week. She hasn't had a dinner date with him for 2 years (her choice) and we try to be flexible about the weekends. Agreements also says she is suppose to pick him up for her visitation and we have to pick him up to bring him home. Sounds fair to me.

Anyways, DH calls her at 9:30 and she asked if he would drop DS off tonight. She knows DH travels for work and she also has both our cell numbers. She could have called and asked earlier. Or being that she only lives a few blocks from us, she could have walked up to pick up DS this afternoon. What gets me the most is when she does pick up DS, she will turn it around and say she really wanted to get him for Thursday night but "his dad" wouldn't drop him off. She will place all the blame on us and that gets me so mad.

Sorry, back to our regularly scheduled programming now.

When you see this turkey, SLAP HER from me! My goodness, what a bird!

Well gang, tomorrow is the big day!! I have to do online checkin at 8 am, and then I'm doing a pool class at 9. Quick shower, see the chiropractor, and drop Dukie off at doggie camp. Then I'm on the road! I'll spend the afternoon with DSis, and we'll leave from my parents' house about 5:30 for the hotel at the airport.

I can't believe it's really here!! Good thing I took a Benadryl tonite (I've been waking up with leg cramps every night, and Benadryl stops them cold), or I'd be saying "I'm too excited to sleep!" I managed to get everything packed in one medium suitcase and a carryon! If I didn't have a cocktail dress, and all my pills and dressing supplies, I'd be able to eliminate the carryon!

Well my dear TK friends, I'll see y'all in a couple weeks. I'll try to catch up a bit when I have internet access, but I won't be back on regularly until August 7 or 8 (depending on how jet lagged I am!) TRY not to go crazy with posts, or I'll NEVER catch up!

The big day!!! We will totally miss you! Have fun! I'm so excited I feel like it is me going!

whgrn!!!-Your DS is very smart and thinking about the great trip your going to have. Curtains can wait...Scotland can't. Have a great trip and we're going to miss ya!!! Remember, and this is very important, lots and lots of pictures of men in kilts. Add a couple of pictures of any castles just so it doesn't look like you're obsessed.:lmao:

Oh, and thanks for the return dates. You know we worry.

Whgrn: I hope we can sleep tonight. We feel your excitement! Can't wait to hear your Scottish accent when you get back. :lmao: Have fun...don't worry about us...we'll try and be good.

Pepper, you rock. I love that smilie. It's one of my favorites next to this....

and I have no idea why I like this one so much.

Hi ladies! Look at me, on w/ the night owls tonight. Got way behind on getting stuff done, and I've been putting off cooking some veggie lasagna for 3 days now. Had to happen or I'd lose all the veggies. So, it cookin' now... just a few minutes left and I figured, what better way to spend my time. :rotfl:

:scared1: :scared1: The weather has just gone CRAZY!!!!

Laura's new furniture is being delivered as I write this! I can't wait to see how it all looks in there! I'll take some pix when it's all put back together! She is going to be SO surprised. I had 2 notes from her at camp today. She says camp is wonderful and she's having a great time! I am SOOOOO glad! I get to call her tomorrow at lunch time, and I can't wait to talk to her. It's amazing--as much as they drive me nuts, I'm already missing them terribly after just 4 days!

Interesting to read that so many of you have issues with social anxiety. Add me to that list! When I was heavier, I had NO confidence, and honestly felt like I never fit in anywhere. I'm alot better now that I'm smaller, but the old feelings still get stirred up. I don't have alot of friends, just a couple, and my dear BFF who I would just DIE without! I guess I don't make new friends easily. But on here it's just different!

Laura's furniture is GORGEOUS!!! OMG her room looks totally different!!! Which makes sense--her "old" room was purple stripes, pink on top, Hello Kitty, and white furniture with pink trim. VERY little girl room. Her "new" room is celery green with a similar color rug, mahogany furniture, and bedding in a green, pink & white design. I also ordered her a really cool chair that can unfold to make a lounger. It's pink--the green one would have been toooo much green! I got her a message center in pinks and greens, and a green digital alarm clock. She is gonna PLOTZ when she sees it all put together when she gets back from camp!!

Well, time to go pack, I've played long enough...

The room sounds to pretty and grown up, but not too grown up.
Have a great time in Scotland! Enjoy the people. They (and the scenery) were my favorite part. Remember to drive on the right... er correct... I mean LEFT! side of the road.

Hey everyone. Just saying hi! Noting really going on. No word on my Dad yet. Spent the whole day in a Manager Seminar...BORING!!! But it got me a "day off". My computer is still a potty "mouth". I agree btw. It is funny ha ha.
.

Thoughts w/ your Dad.
And, that is the craziest computer virus I've ever heard of... it IS kind of funny though. But I'm sure its annoying.

Racetrack/M&N - I agree, the commercials have not been up to par yet this year... I miss the Waltrip/Jr. ones. They actually made a pretty good comic duo. Although Waltrips are still pretty good.

Hey everybody else! Oops. Gotta go check the lasagna.

I think your smilie looks like he has to go to potty and then cracks up about it???

Mamma Mia! Lasagna!

I like this one.

Time for bed for me...night ya'll.

So, here's one I didn't think of... I have no idea where I'm going to PUT 2 lasagnas! :scared1: One is for dinners this week, and the other will eventually get divided in 1/2 and put in the freezer. (I'm trying to cook a few freezer meals over the next few weeks so we have some ready made dinners for our insane first weeks w/ a newborn. I did this last time and it was a life saver. - One of my co-workers... remember they are all guys... said "Isn't that what frozen pizza is for? - I can't say I disagree completely, but I do try to be semi responsible, at least for DSs sake!) But, I went grocery shopping this week and the fridge is completely full!

How about these?

Although, personally, I kinda like this little rocker dude.

He's so hard core.... :rotfl:

Yo lighttech!!! Ya gonna throw me off my rhythm bein up so late. :rotfl2:

I hear you about cooking the meals before the baby comes. Nothing was easier than popping a premade meal in the oven while we spent time with the new little one. As for the space in the freezer, as you empty the freezer, you'll have more room for the meals. Just stuff them in the fridge for tonight and figure it out tomorrow. I always figure things out tomorrow. :rotfl:

It IS tomorrow! :rotfl:

And, the fridge was totally full too. I've gotten better about only grocery shopping every 2 weeks (gives me a little more time at home to get stuff done, or enjoy my Mommy time w/ DS). And, I just went Tues, so the fridge is all stocked. I just managed to clear a shelf though. As soon as the lasagna cools enough to touch it, I'll shove it in. At least its in pyrex, so since I cleared everything off that shelf, I shouldn't melt or crack anything.. I hope. :rotfl:
