Magikitty, I saw David Cook....I mean your husband.... getting "prepped" but I had to go to work so I did not see him perform. How did he do? I am sure he did awesome!!! I heard that he hit the top 10 with his Idol downloads on the Bilboard chart. YAY!!!!!!!!!

BF is concerned right now about the "magic" Disney water that got Magsnden infanticipating! He keeps telling me, "no water for you!". He said he'll buy whatever souvenir I wanted, as long as it isn't a "surprise" one!

This is just so cool. It's like we're living the idol thing through Kitty. We're all so giddy with excitement because we want her to go. Shoe will tell you how to utube it (or whatever it's called). I thought you all just stood up and screamed anyway so what's it matter where your seat is? Those kids have to be shorter.

Aaah.....can you feel it? Its the peace of knowing that I have a date with my husband, David Cook, on September 8 at the Wachovia Arena.

I bought ticket insurance, just in case something (or someone) gets in my way.

That floor seat was still waiting for me. I call it Providence.

I will rush the stage. I have to start planning for my cute outfit.

Racetrack: I don't know how to thank you on the other board so I'll do it here. You saved me from being a TK over there. I had posted 5 times and was the tker on 3 of them but then you saved me. Now it's only 1...on the cruise line one and that's not too busy anyway. I'm trying to find my way around there. You can tell alot of them know each other. Saw where someone got rid of the trash can...way too complicated for me. Great pics.

Just forgot to tell ya'll today I have to go to DD's school to watch "the movie"now we saw one last year but this one might be a bit more indepth. Several of her "girlz" called last night to make sure I was coming (their moms work) so I will be surrounded. Joking we told them no DH was going instead. they freaked!
DD knows a lot already-she has some mature friends-her BFF called me last week to say "guess what I won't be bothered with on our trip?" I guess it's good they feel lilke they can tell me that sorta stuff. I know my mom never told me a thing and I swore I wouldn't do that to my DD.

Just thought I'd share.

Can't let anybody be a tker on the new board. I'm still trying to figure things out over there too. I was so tickled when she fixed my picture for me. Kinda slow there and not as much info as here but I think that board is only a couple of weeks old. That is so great you have that kind of relationship with DD and her friends. I've had the talk with DD quite a few times. Don't want her to be shocked by anything, you know. So very different from when I was a kid.

Good luck on the movie! Is it just for the girls? My mother (way back when) borrowed some cartoon from the hospital in order to prepare me for "that stuff". The cartoon was really cute, but I don't remember figuring out that THAT stuff was going to happen to ME one day. (and I'll never forget...it happened to me on my first day of Eighth grade! ugh!)

Kim -- Did you also consider other sales jobs? I'd think real estate agents would be good at selling other things too.


I thought about it, but I am not sure which job I could get doing sales. I do not want to sell cars because the hours are horrible. I tried places like Alltel, but they want someone with experience in cell phone sales. Someone must hire people in that business with no experience, because you are not born with cell phone sales experience.

Waitressing seems the quickest way to get employed. I am leary of going into a busy place, I don't want customers mad at me for giving them less than perfect service while I am learning.

I was thinking about going to Chilis, but am wondering if I should start at a slower place like Red Robin or maybe a little hole in the wall somewhere.

On another note, I think my daughter is addicted to the Dis Board also. She just joined the board last night at 10pm and already has 69 posts. Funny thing is, she is only 11 years old.

I think if you have limited experience they'd try to schedule you at slower times, like midweek lunch. I would share your concerns with your manager and work out the best working atmosphere for you.

I'm going down to NYC overnight Monday to meet with girlfriends to look for wedding dresses. My girlfriend is flying in from Scotland on Saturday, and is getting married in three weeks. Its going to be absolutely crazy, but so much fun. I just hope we can find the dress! Luckily, she's crazy thin so she can buy off the rack with minimal tailoring (I hope). I'm looking up bridal shops as we speak.....

Kim, I would take the job at the busiest place you can get. If you have to waitress, why not go for the place that has the highest earning potential? And from what my SIL has told me, (she's been a waitress at many, many places) they usually give you some easier shifts to start out.

MagiKitty & Shmu-Are you still doing the "flat tker" when you go on vacation? If you are, as soon as I get some sun and don't look so pasty and pale, I send a pic.
