Looks like I'm talking to myself-oh well, I've been doing a lot of that lately:)
I just am running up my post count:goodvibes

OK guys, I am sending the box to the Boardwalk today-this afternoon. Any last few things ya'll think I might need to add? I got a PUR faucet system-it took up less space- but am still considering a small crockpot.

Oh, Magikitty OL is the Owner's Locker, that thing you store stuff in and the company delivers it to your resort. We decided to give it a try with all the extra charges the airlines are charging for luggage now.

We plan to drive for the December trip, but by then I will no longer have my MUCH BELOVED Sienna Thanks Exxon-Mobil and the cargo space it gave me so we are going to 'store' some stuff there that we don't have to lug back and forth.

Here's the next one:

Look Ma...no cavities!

Bopsmom: Love the kick the can guy too. I thought about mailing my clothes to my friend's house if they go with charging $25 for 1st bag. I don't think it would cost that much to mail it. It just seems like they are asking for trouble. I thought they were trying to discourage people from carryons after 9-11. It makes the security checkpoint take longer and also makes it harder to get off with people lugging their bags. Doesn't make sense to me but what do I know? I hardly ever fly.

Kim: My cousin in Suffolk is selling her house. It was appraised at $289,00. She listed at 259,00 and now dropped to 239,000. Someone wanted it but their selling house fell through. I thought about waitressing but I know the pay isn't that great and it's not easy work--I would get too nervous. mix up orders and drop things! I read somewhere that people were not tipping as high as they used to either. I don't think it's fair to take it out on the servers. Retail doesn't pay that great either but you would get discounts.

Morning friends! Did anyone catch my husband on the Today show this morning? He looks so good, I like the little pot belly he has. Thankfully, no one asked him about THAT woman...he performed well. I like the rapport he has with little David, I feel there's definitely caring between them, like a brother-brother relationship. Aah, I love him.

Kim, I think the waitressing job is a good day. Its worth a try, and you never know..you may find you like it and you're well suited to it. No one can fault you for trying new things and I applaud you for your approach to these difficult times.

Bopsmom...thanks for the info about OL! Sounds like a really good idea, esp for those who know they will travel back to WDW every year. Sounds like you're on top of things--you're so prepared!

Shmu...you kitchen is absolutely adorable! I love your bench area---and I agree the hidden storage is a wonderful idea! I would love to have a Hello Kitty kitchen..I have a pink skillet that I refuse to use because its so cute!

M&N and Racetrack....your smilie talents truly amaze me. Thanks for noticing my dancing kitty in my siggie! It took me so long to figure out how to make a siggie (thanks to my TKers), its the only thing that I know how to do!

Good day all, TTYL!

That smilie just says...pothead. :rotfl2: And I don't mean flowerpot.:smokin:

Pepper and Kim - Sorry things are so bad right now. My prayers are with you both.
Kim -- Did you also consider other sales jobs? I'd think real estate agents would be good at selling other things too. :thumbsup2

Okay... this one is for Magikitty

Your hubby maybe????

Thanks D&D! And yes, sadly, I do qualify for the cougar category. I did post. If I had known he was going to be on the Today show this morning, I would have driven down to see him!

Okay... I am sure you just barely qualify as a cougar. Maybe a baby cougar. ;)

Ok, I barely skimmed pg 29, but I'm somewhat caught up.

Kimluvsdisney and Pepper - Big hugs and I said a little prayer.

I have so much more to say, but I'm so far behind now that I think I'll just have to try and check in tomorrow and start fresh... at least I skimmed enough to sort of know what's going on.

Kim - Waitressing can be very profitable, especially higher end. DH did the restaurant biz for a few years, just try to get the busier shifts if you can. Also, if you've got a base like that where you are working strange hours, you may want to look into a supplemental income from home. They tend not to be something you can count on, but especially w/ your sales exp in real estate, it could be good for you. (Tupperware, and other home-party businesses, or even cold calling. There are a lot of little things that will pay you for whatever time you can put in.)

OK, pushing it on my lunch break... gotta go b4 I make someone :furious:

Keep :) -ing everybody. Pepper's right. A positive attitude can go a long way. Even though its so terribly hard when times are tough.

Ok, my PA friends. Question: anyone been to the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre? I'm looking into American Idol tickets. Its either Wilkes-Barre or Albany, they're both about 2 hours from me. But the Wilkes-Barre date looks better for my schedule. I just checked Ticketmaster, and they have a floor seat available. Think its worth it? Will I see anything?

It'll just be me. I can't convince anyone to go with me, as BF put it, to "that hell of screaming teenage girls". :lmao: I guess he doesn't love me THAT much!

Bless you D&D! Considering that most of my husband's fan base are about half my age, I'll take being a youngish cougar! The upside is that I can drive myself to his concert!

I agree. :3dglasses
Love the smilies especially the banana split.
kimluvswdw good luck with the waitressing. It will bring in some money. :thumbsup2 I've applied to run a fireworks stand. I would have to be there 24/7 :faint: It's only for two weeks but staying in my tent trailer in the heat of summer w/o AC.

MagiKitty, I'm looking at the seating chart right now. Does it give you an exact seat or section?

You would be on the far left facing the stage. And there would be a whole section of seats in front of you. I would be worried about seeing over everyone's heads but that's just me. The arena only seats 10,000 max so that's not too bad. Here's a seating chart for that concert if you haven't seen it. http://www.wachoviaarena.com/information.aspx?d=5

That's what I was worried about. It claims full unobstructed view, and I'm assuming its an elevated stage. But 10,000 sounds smallish to me, so I may luck out. What are the chances of having really tall girls in front of me?

Oh, I have to really mull this over....strangely enough, if his dating Kimberly Caldwell continues, I may have to reconsider altogether. I've taken it really badly.

BF's is not supporting me on this. The concert is the week before we're supposed to go to Disney! I keep telling him, if I'M happy, he will be too!

I like your thinking. In my house, if momma ain't happy, nobody is happy. :rotfl2: I think I would go to the concert though. How many times will you get the opportunity to see him? And who cares about the other chicky. He's just a little disillusioned right now. :lmao: He just needs to see the error of his way.

GO TO THE CONCERT!!! And just hope he can propell his dripping sweat.:rotfl2:

If you go, please capture that on tape. Would love to see/hear you screaming like a school girl

Oh my goodness! I didn't even think of that! I could bring my camera! And you will hear me screaming like a little girl. As it is, when he's on TV, I bring my chair right up next to the tv!

That's it, you're convinced me, I'm going to get my ticket right now!

(I'll just tell BF about it a little bit later)
