Does anyone know what the thread count of sheets is at the resorts? Do deluxes get higher thread count sheets? I think I read somewhere that the thread count in all the resorts was180 count sheets. Talk about scratchy and uncomfortable. I am used to sleeping on 350 thread count sheets.

Will I really notice a difference? We are staying at CBR(just hubby and I, and we will each take a bed to insure a decent nights sleep.

Just wondering, I am not sure I have ever seen this mentioned here before.

The UG states that all the resorts have the same thread count, even deluxe, and I believe your 180 is correct.

I'm pretty sure it's 180. You won't notice much of a difference, plus its Disney.. everything's magical- regardless of thread count. Try not to let it get to you. ;)

I don't know what the thread count is, but it certainly isn't close to luxury! *LOL*

And it feels like they starch the sheets. It could just be the industrial pressing, though. I haven't had any adverse reactions to the sheets, so if they are starched, it's something that doesn't bother me--thank goodness!

Just wanted to let you know I'm a thread count snob as well :) I felt very comfy in the beds at the CR.

I found the bedding perfectly fine at POFQ, BC, AKL and WL and I have 800 at home! LOL

we only use jersey sheets at home (love that "comfy t-shirt" feeling), but i love waking up in the middle of the night on the :cloud9: slightly stiff sheets at WDW ~ it means i'm actually there & not just dreaming about it again!!

From Wikipedia:

Thread count is a measure of the coarseness or fineness of fabric. It is measured by counting the number of threads contained in one square inch of fabric, including both the length (warp) and width (weft) threads. It is used especially in regard to cotton linens such as bed sheets.

Thread count is a simple measure of fabric quality, so that "standard" cotton thread counts are around 150 while good-quality sheets start at 180 and a count of 200 or higher is considered percale. Extremely high thread counts (typically over 500) tend to be misleading as they usually use 'plied' yarns. i.e. one yarn that is made by twisting together multiple finer threads. For marketing purposes, a fabric with 250 yarns in both the vertical and horizontal direction could have the component threads counted to a 1000 thread count although "according to the National Textile Association, which cites the international standards group ASTM, accepted industry practice is to count each thread as one, even threads spun with two- or three-ply yarn. The Federal Trade Commission agrees and recently issued a warning that consumers 'could be deceived or misled' by inflated thread counts."[1]

Last year the deluxe resorts went through a "linen" upgrade.

I know the sheets were different and SOFTER at the CR after our first night. The towels were thicker too.

I don't know if this has "trickled" down to the Moderates and Values.

Does anyone else remember the yellow sheets they used to have?
