I've never had lotion anywhere, not even CL stays
We got lotion our last stay at BC CL.
I wish the other deluxes would get the sea salt one, I'm not a fan of the grapefruit one.

Funny how folks jumped right on the Disney cutting costs/Shanghai bandwagon and in reality it could be H20 behind the changes. Disney could just have to run through their contract and then everything will come back buy with a different supplier. It may well be Disney's fault. No one knows right now what's behind the change. Just wish folks would stop blaming Disney first. Everything they do isn't evil and to spite customer.
Yeah, I noticed the site was changed. I stopped shopping for some of their products because I had bought some on sale while back and also from my last cruise. Will wait and see what happens. I can always bring my own.
Maybe if we start getting charged a resort fee, they will keep the shower gel!
I swear the last time I stayed at a Holiday Inn there was Bath and Body Works themed supplies....including coconut lime verbena shower gel. That room was like $65 a night.
In my opinion if they aren't providing shower gel they might as well not provide anything at all except hand soap. I don't use (and don't think many others do either) bar soap for washing my body so that could be eliminated. But if a hotel offers toiletries I expect shower gel and shampoo as a minimum, plus conditioner in any deluxe hotels, as well as something to wash my hands with.
If they wanted to offer hand soap in a container screwed to the wall (similar to the public bathrooms) and eliminate all bar soap I would be quite happy as well, liquid soap seems more hygienic than bar soap.
It doesn't bother me, I never use shower gel.

Potentially its the hoarding that is causing them to cut back on the amount of toiletries?
I would estimate most people use a third to half of one of those mini bottles per shower. So a room with two people shouldn't get through more than a bottle per day. If you are using your own, but keeping back what you would have used anyway so you can use the Disney stuff at home, that fine. But (and I'm not saying the quoted poster is) if you are the people who phone housekeeping to get five extra bottles per day just to take home, then that's probably why things are getting cut. Of course housekeeping should also be sensible and not put out five bottles when you used up one as well.
They may have been due to re-negotiate contracts between Disney and H2O sometimes these things happen. I sincerely hope they don't just fail to supply the rooms to guests with them. We all already pay far more for a room onsite than any other hotel chain in Orlando. I don't mind taking our own shampoos for by family but seriously the shower gel is needed. Soap is nice to wash your face and hands with however it's not always good if you have sensitive skin or allergies. I like the H2O products and wish they would have sold it at a slightly reduced price to guests. That would have swayed me into buying some to take home . Anyway I guess we just need to wait and see what they are going to do over the next few months.I was just looking again at the H2O+ site and noticed that the Disney Resort Collection was not there....just the sea salt. I wonder if it's H2O that is phasing it out and not a Disney decision.
For what it's worth, the bar soap is H20 also. I didn't find that their bar soap is more or less harsh than the liquid version. Seems pretty much the same to me, just easier to get the bar soap on a wash cloth (or at least seems easier)They may have been due to re-negotiate contracts between Disney and H2O sometimes these things happen. Agree 100%. I don't consider H2O products as anything special, and when you're paying more per night than at most 5 star hotels they should at least use something comparable to 5 star hotel toiletries, especially when your rooms are not luxury rooms..just throw us a bone lolIt slays me that WDW is so chintzy with their toiletries. One of my biggest annoyances is that they don't standardize what you get at the resorts, not even within the same level of resorts. I like to know what will be available to me so that I can properly pack. Also H2O products are fine but get real they are a mid-grade product at best so not so fancy that they need to cut back on what they are giving out at the results. The sea salt line is the only one that's half decent. The quality of the blushing orange and the grapefruit bergamot is much lower and the old aquatics line was somewhere in between those and the sea salt line.

If it's gone it's not because Disney did away with anything. H20 did. Disney can't get a product they discontinued.NOOO! That is a huge problem for us. My family hates bar soap. DH will use it if he has to, but no one else will touch it--- and absolutely no one will touch it if anyone else in the family has used it- not even DH. We totally rely on the shower gel at WDW and DLR. In fact, our next trip we were not even planning on bringing any with us because it always winds up leaking after TSA has thrown the suitcases around and because we always wind up only using the Disney shower gel when we are there (and bringing some home) anyway. I'm really surprised at this move. We have not stayed at a hotel that did not provide shower gel in years- Disney or non Disney. I thought that was pretty much standard almost everywhere now. I'm really glad you posed this because now I am definitely going to have to pack shower gel. I am getting so tired of all the little things Disney has taken away from guests over the last 2 years!
I'm not a Disney basher by any means. But yes, I think it would be nice to have good quality products in the deluxe resorts. Like I said, I bring my own. I think it's sad and kind of odd that people hoard. If you take home what's left in your room, fine. But don't stash them away every day. I doubt people actually do that though, or at least hope it would be the minority.I think most of us know the real reason we pay so much for Disney resorts is the location. And as many people admit to hording the toiletries to take home for a little souvenir, I doubt Disney will ever upgrade them.
