For all those anxiously awaiting, Merlinspride Thread 810 FRee Dining Watch Pg.54, announced today that her mother, travel agent got advance information about Free Dining..Supposedly 8/24-9/20/08...
Available Monday 4/7 to Disney Visa Members Code AYG!!!!

Good Luck to All....Was hoping it would coincide with Wonderful Disney Weeks starting 8/12, but realistically thought that it would be last week August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet this is the correct info. Looks like I'll have to call Disney and set my dates back one week. Well, the 13th-21st was not my first choice of time but hey I'll take it with free food!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw this info too and am glad it's finally out. I can't use it also, but I have mentioned in other threads that I was told weeks ago that my dates were not included (Aug. 10-20) and I have tried to gently prepare others with my "unofficial" notice from a TA. Since I've known for weeks, I'm OK with it. I missed it last year too by a week. (Aug. 15-24). I still enjoy reading the threads of what is available. So will be watching Monday. I will have to cancel my ADRs that I booked for the possiblity of FD. I'm still going, just will not be eating at all of the same places had I gotten FD.

A TA on another board had called the Disney TA number yesterday and asked about Free Dining. She was given the same dates. The rep told her that they were just told the dates that day.

Ahhhh ok lol..I know in the past if you checked in by the last day you were good for the lengh of your stay but I heard this year they aren't doing that. Fingers crossed that they are and you get it your whole stay.

i am hoping this is true because right now I have 2 ressies one for a regular room rate (20% w/ aaa) and one with the free dining which we got last year
with the bounce back promo. either way we are going so I would really love the dining promo for both!!

I hope this turns out to be true. I went last year during the free dining and it started on the 26th ( we arrived that day)
this year we booked aut27-sept2, with the hopes it would happen for us again. then I kept hearing the 30th and we would have had to book 2 ressies ( I have an AP and we booked room with dining, although, my 2 friends will still need tickets) so if the new dates are right, we will be covered for our entire stay.

I am hoping so too, my friend has a ressie. I have the bounceback and she wasn't there so she just booked for the same dates as me, Sept 13-20.

This is such exciting news. I've been debating a trip back to WDW for quite some time...( My DH says I've been planning one since I got back from the last one!) I am calling today to make my ADRs. Should I go ahead and make my reservation or just wait until Monday with the other thousands?!?! I know that having a ressie now doesn't mean I'll get it at the same resort on Monday...that's why I'm wondering if I just need to wait.
