I would love to one day have stayed at all resorts but still have far way to go. It's been hard to give up my favorites of POP and POR. So far I've tried all but AoA in value, POFQ & CSR mods, and hardly any Deluxe, only AKL.

We are light packers and I want to maximize resorts So I am thinking for our upcoming stay next May which will be two adults, nine nights I would try this:

AoA four nights hoping for a dining package because I could use tickets and we are quick service people anyway. And it keeps me close to POP. Hit parks for the first two days then enjoy the big blue pool on our check out day and maybe a watermark then that night move to....

Wilderness Lodge in the middle if week as better rate than the weekends I come in or leave on. Once again hoping for a room only deal. (This will make doing ALL the deluxe dufficult as I hate justifying those rates) Only one night here but plan to get there by early afternoon to enjoy the evening. Next day sleep in, take a dip in pool and head to MK via boat for the evening, maybe check out Fort Wilderness beforehand as I've never made it there yet. IF a great room only for Yacht Club comes out would prefer that skipping water park day of move and hitting HS for morning of move and going to EPCOT evening of the next move. Then head to our new resort.....

Coranado or CBR. I've stayed at CBR back in 1999 so I think it will feel like a new resort since many changes since then but it does not accomplish my every resort stay. But this is the resort my friend desires. However I am footing the bill and though I really don't have a preference other than it being a "new" resort will probably choose CSR. Plus as of now CBR only has pirate themed rooms for my dates. And yes I am still hoping for a room only deal so that could change where I end up. POFQ is the only other moderate and I could go there but I sort of feel like that wouldn't be new enough as I have been to POR so much and often visit POFQ.

Thanks for reading and if anyone has thoughts or suggestions please chime in. Basically I just wanted to voice my plans. And maybe someone has a good idea to improve this plan.

Hi,
First I love split stays. Makes a trip more affordable and adds another experience. I think two resorts is a perfect number, spending enough time to settle in and enjoy the surroundings and appreciate the surroundings. Last trip we ended up with 3 as we were planning on several days at Riverside and a nice long stay at AKL. At last minute we decided on a one night at FQ to experience that on arrival night. YIKES !!!!! TOOOO MUCH 3 rounds of getting in and out of luggage, schlepping luggage..at the moderate resorts (and possibly the deluxes?) they leave luggage at bell service and you get to schlep it to the room..this can really eat up time..god forbid it if the room is a long way from lobby. You can ask for help getting it to your room..more time...barely saw FQ..a blur ..no time to enjoy and since I like to go check-in early to make sure best chance for room choices that was a lot of time burned going resort to resort. Even though bell service does a great job transferring luggage you still need to set it up each time. How much is your disney time worth??? I would not do that again. I want to be on vacation not moving. The parks take a lot of energy. The resort is to relax and recover.

Thanks Mousetopia. I have thought of that. Should have addressed that in first post. Thinking three bags. One for first resort, just an overnighter for WL, and the third for last resort. Yes there is the time involved with getting it to and from room still. I am thinking our times would pretty much coincide with that. take them to bell services on check out on way to bus from AoA. Though they may not be at WL yet when we get there planning on walking around so just a stop on the way back to room or call them to be delivered. With just an overnight bag no arranging needed. Leaving WL have to be out by 11 so just call them. If we use pool after check out I won't mind either a short hike up to bell with one more bag or even renting a locker at MK for that stuff. As we won't be at the last resort until way late the bags will already be at bell which is by front desk anyway. Or another call if we get direct to room. Just a quick arranging if new bags then. To me it doesn't seem horrible. But point taken, we will be tired and I certainly plan to sleep in that next day too. I would've preferred WL first or last night but it is considerably more in the weekend. Hoping with deals it might be doable that way but I am planning based on no deals so it fits my budget.
