Based purely on what we are seeing from social media... what are your initial thoughts about the Adventure? I'm really curious if other people are feeling the same way I am.
Although I've been on all the other DCL ships, I've written off the Adventure. Basically it requires flying half way around the world for a cruise to nowhere. Love Disney, but just no.
So far it really feels to me like a Royal Ship with Disney wallpaper. The non concierge staterooms remind me so much of the NCL Joy but with some Disney art... I also am not seeing many pools or activities and cant imagine how busy some of the areas will be with all the sailings to nowhere
I only seen bits and pieces so far. Would like to see personal navigators and a what a full day on board looks like. Most of the social media posts I saw look suspiciously empty in areas like it was staged for better content to be posted.

Even with the Disney wallpaper it doesn't look very nice. It doesn't appear to have the luxury feel I have come to associate with Disney. The room videos I have seen thus far seem very sparse and utilitarian. The sofa looks like a hard doctors office safe and super plain walls. Maybe as I see more I will change my mind.
It looks way too huge for our taste and as a pp mentioned, it's sailing from the other side of the earth.
No thanks. Hopefully people in Singapore will enjoy having their own Disney ship.
I think the public areas look amazing and the food pictures that people are posting look really good too. The staterooms don't look that great, especially the standard ones but that wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me. And as for cruises to nowhere, well I kind of consider a cruise that just stops in Nassau or Progresso to be a cruise to nowhere anyway. And Singapore itself is a great destination, very safe and clean, easy to get around in English and lots to see and do.
I wouldn't go all the way to Singapore just for the Adventure, but from the west coast it's really not that much further away than the Med. And my teenagers have really gotten into Asia lately. They loved our last trip to Japan and now they want to go to other Asian destinations, so I could see us fitting a quick cruise in on a trip to the area.
While I still see the whole thing as a bit of an odd choice on DCL's part, I think the ship looks like a lot of fun and would definitely want to give it a try if I had the chance.
Good and bad for me so far. I really like all the different theming and new restaurant options & menus. I’m also excited for all the new shows. The rooms are disappointing and I hate the double sofa bed as opposed to the pull down bunk and twin couch bed. I also am not thrilled with the reservation system being reported on the media cruise. We sail in June!
I'm also disappointed with the double bed situation. My kids will not want to sleep together so that has sort of messed up things for us a bit as it will cause arguing.
I agree with the rides to be very kiddy and the water slides too.
Also very concerned about how the Sanfrantokyo area will look like with 6000 people all those games will be almost impossible to have a turn on.
I was in two minds if booking a B2B but I'm glad we have only booked four days and the rest we will spend in beautiful Singapore.
