Thoughts on rental car availabilty for Columbus day weekend??

We will be flying into Tampa next Friday and then driving to WDW.
I have a car reserved with National. Should I be concerned that despite having a reservation there may not be cars available??

It was many years ago, we flew to Savannah GA a few weeks after a major hurricane, and the rental car we had reserved was not available. They were all gone to folks whose cars had been ruined in the flooding. We were able to find one at another agency in the airport, but it was a hassle. So yes, I’d be concerned and would probably call National.

I'd agree with @CarolynFH but I'd wait to worry and call for a week or two, let them get past the initial clean up and take inventory of what they have/don't have.

OP doesn't have the option of waiting a week or two. The weekend they are worried about is next weekend.
You'll know in a couple days if there is going to be a problem with rentals, I don't really foresee it.

@EACarlson fair point, but the people need to a few days to collect themselves first and then worry about work. Then they can figure out which vehicles they have and are getting returned or not.

I should have included in my OP that my concern is related to possible issues related to Hurricane.
I expect that many residents as well as incoming resources will rent cars .

That’s okay — I knew that was the concern! I would call no later than Monday.
