Thoughts on Marrakesh, Jiko, and Narcoosee's?

I thought you finally had your ressies all set :confused3 No more changes!! LOL

Marakesh is great....Greek food is NEVER a bad thing :D I will let you know about Jiko when I get back.

The only one of these I have eaten is Jiko. It is wonderful!

The filet with mac and cheese is so good! We like to start with the flatbread or the duck firecracker. The restaurant is just beautiful and the service is excellent. We like sitting by the window to look out over the little stream.

Fav: Narcoosee's
Its ok: Jiko's (I get real African food in March so I'm kinda biased)
Bleh: Marrakesh

We love Marrakesh...beef brewat rolls to start, then beef kebobs and veggie couscous. The lemon chicken is also good, but it's on the bone and kinda hard to eat. I didn't think the chicken kebobs were nearly as good as the beef (and I don't usually eat beef). We have never made it to desert, even on the DP.

It's been a favorite of my DS's since he was 8 and we went there for the first time. I have never had "real" Morrocan food so I can't make a comparison.

We've never eaten at Jiko or Narcossee's.

Went to Jiko last night as it's one of our favs, and never disappoints, always consistent. I had my fav dish there, the filet with mac n cheese, to die for!! LIKE BUTTTTER....along with my fav salad, the cucumber, onion and tomato salad!! It does have a "romantic" feel to it. Although I take my soon to be 8 yr old dd all of the time I wouldn't hesitate going with dh alone one time for a romantic dinner.

Tonight we're going to Narcoosee's, I havent' been there in years and dd has never eaten there so should be interesting. Will report back on that. Never ate at Morrocco and really don't plan to as we're not into it much.

Narcoosies is good if the menu is good. It changes with the chefs whim. The atmosphere is good , the service is okay. The food can be pretty good. Not great...pretty good.

Marrakesh is Morrocan food, it's ok if you've never tried the real thing, but very watered down flavours etc.

Marrakesh is the cheapest option, but does a pretty good meal. We enjoy it, its a little different without being "scary different."

Narcoossee's didn't live up to the bill - would have been a fine meal at $5 less a person.

Jiko my husband loved. I didn't like what I ordered. I'll give it a second chance since I think it may have been my own fault (plus we had a bad waiter).

We have only been to narc's. Don't get me wrong it was great, but If we were not on the DP I proabably wouldn't go there as the food doesn't meet the expense. Never been to Jiko's or Marrakesh.

I've been to Jiko and Marrakesh fairly recently. Haven't been to Narcoossee's in years.

Of the 3, Jiko's is by far my favorite. I loved the filet mignon with the macaroni and cheese (which when I rfirst ead about it - thought it seemed like a very odd combination). It came with a demi-glaze sauce which was wonderful too. They have great flatbreads (loved the Kenyan Coffee bbq chicken one) and good salads (loved the salad with buttermilk/carrot dressing). Great atmosphere and great service - and a good excuse to check out AKL - one of my favorite resorts.

Enjoyed Marrakesh - think its a hidden gem at Epcot. Seems I can always get in without an ADR. I'm a pretty adventurous eater but I still think people who are not can find something here they will like.

As I mentioned, haven't been to Narcoossee's in years so can't really comment - but I always think about giving it another try because I think the view would be pretty looking out onto the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Lunch at Marrakesh is always a good time.

We love Narccoosses. Has the best dessert on property: Almond Crusted Cheesecake, YUMMMMMMM.

These are exactly the things we had on our visit plus the pistacchio creme brulee. It was so good. We had a great experience at Jiko.

Of the three, I've only been to Marrakesh, twice last year. The food was good - especially the beef brewat rolls and the chicken-whatever-it-is (like beef brewat rolls), but the second time we went we had terrible service. So we're skipping it this year. It's never crowded and really pretty inside. :goodvibes
