We have an ADR for dinner at Les Chefs de France and haven't heard much about it. What do you think of the food, the atmosphere, the service and most of all......do you have to order in French (I'd smother it to bits :rotfl2:)?????

OMG! This has become one of favs when we go. It is a must do for us. We LOVE the food and the service has always been good for us. the atmosphere feels rich but yet welcoming. :goodvibes And if you are lucky... you will get to see Remy! I love the French Onion Soup and the filet Mignon. My bff loves the baked mac and cheese. There are many good things there! :cool1:

You definitely don't have to order in French! They have the English translation underneath the French menu items. I really like the prix fixe menu, I usually get the onion soup :lovestruc, beef short ribs, and vanilla creme brulee. There are other options too though. Our service has always been fine, but nothing spectacular. If you strike up a conversation with your server about where they're from the meal is a lot more fun!

Hate to be a downer, but we were there in April and didn't love it. The food was just ok and our server wasn't the best - he was slow and inattentive.

I wasn't impressed with the beef short ribs... I expect mine to fall off the bone and these weren't that tender. I will say that the creme brulee was delicious.

It is OK if have never been there try it... I am sure you will not dislike it.. the appetizer and dessert are the best parts

We used to love going there for dinner, but the last two times it was just so-so. The food came out luke warm both times. We still love going for lunch though, and enjoy ordering from the Prix Fixe menu. Service has mostly been great here.

I really like this place. The roasted chicken was good. Our waiter was very good, french guys are such flirts and thats just fine.

If you like the Chocolate mousse cake try it. I was impressed with it.

It would be safer to get take out and sit in the middle of the parade route.:lmao:

We were given a table near the door where the servers enter the room. NOT kidding... I was bumped in the head by their serving trays several times! The first couple of times it happened, we were appalled, since no one stop to apologize. When it happened again, we just cracked up. By the time it happened it AGAIN, we were practically rolling on the floor. :rotfl2: My son, who was facing the door and could see the servers coming, would yell "DUCK" as they came through the door. This was 2008, We still remember it... we still laugh about it.

We considered asking to be moved to a different table, but it was quite late, the place was mobbed and we had waited a long time, even with an ADR. DH offered to switch places with me, but he's bigger than I am, so he would surely be more in the way. The kids offered, too, but I didn't want any of them to get hurt.

It's a pretty restaurant.
It's a loud restaurant, especially when glass shattered on the floor, (probably when the tray bounced off my head.)
It's is one of DD, then 18, favorites.
The rest of our family of 7 thought the food was okay - good.
I was not injured.
We didn't complain, but we weren't impressed with the service, either.

We went 3 years ago. Server was...rude, if you're American, aloof if you're French. :) Food was ok, at best. DH said we wouldn't go back.

Fast forward to this March. We were going OOP, and they have a great prix fixe lunch deal. Plus Remy would be there. DH agreed to give it a second chance.

It was the best meal of our trip, dollar for dollar. Our waiter was friendly and fun, Remy was adorable, and the food was great! I'd definitely give it a try. We're glad we did. :lovestruc

This was a last moment switch for our first night this past trip. My girlfriend and I were very happy with our meal (we were supposed to eat at Garden Grill but we had a lot of other character meals so we decided to switch). I had been there years ago but it was her first time there. The beef tenderloin she ordered was very tender and tastey and the seafood skewer was very good as well. The service was very good.

I don't know if we were the victim of being on a DDP or what, but the time we ate there, my DW and I ordered the filet and we were served a piece of meat that was NOT a filet. It was the wrong texture and extremely tough. I think they took a sirloin or eye of round and tried cut it to pass as a filet.

When I asked our server about it, they said that it was a filet and they were all that way. He asked if I wanted another one, and I politely declined if they were all the same. There were some other aspects of the dish that were not good either. The other parts of the meal were okay, but the unappologetic attitude on the "filet" stuck out in my mind.

I can't stand a resturaunt that will serve you inferior product and try to pass it off as something it isn't. They must think we are all dumb diners and don't know how to identify cuts of meat and quality ingredients.

We liked it. We ate a very late lunch so by the time we were done only maybe 4 tables had people at them. The food was decent. I would certainly go back.

We had dinner there for the first time this past May. Our meals were good, the atmosphere is bright and airy, not at all stuffy. The service was also really good. We would definately go back again.

When we ate there during a free dining promotion (we were not on free dining), they had taken the filet off the menu, for the duration of the promotion. Not sure if they are still doing that. They substituted some kind of meat that was totally inedible.

We used to love the place years ago. These days, thanks to DDP and free dining, it's only so so. Moreover, the ambience is awful. They have squeezed so many tables into every available space that one could sit in the lap of someone at the neighboring table and not be much closer than you are already.

We've dined there a couple of times since the free dining debacle. We have not been overly impressed with most of the food and the ambience at dinner makes us wonder why we don't go sit in the middle of traffic. It would be quieter and safer!

We've taken to dining at Bistro instead. More expensive, but the food is better and the ambience is tons better.

We really liked Les Chefs last time we went. Food was good, our waiter was sweet. Dessert was so-so (we ordered the profiteroles). And I wasn't crazy about the tables being so close next to each other. But all in all I'd definitely go back.

My husband and I just returned from our WDW vacation and ate at Chef's for the first time. We enjoyed it overall. My husband has the Roasted Chicken and I have the Baked Mac n Cheese. We ordered the French Onion Soup as a shared app. I wish I ordered the Roasted Chicken, because it was delicious, to me. The Mac n Cheese was good, but there was so much of it. I wish there was a side with it or veggies baked with it. Our server was Gregory. He was very attentive and polite. We had a lovely window seat. We did see Remy, which was fun! We would probably try it again, but not right away.

We weren't impressed with our dinner there. Apps were ok, nothing special. My DS's au poivre was bland (how does THAT happen?!?) I had crispy, dried rice that had been sitting in the steam table too long. When I asked the waiter to let the kitchen know so they wouldn't serve it, he tried to tell me that "it is a special kind of rice" :rolleyes2 Then the Manager came over to tell me the same thing. I kindly & patiently informed them that I was trained in Classical French Cuisine & had worked in the restaurant business for years That I knew what happened to rice when it was left in the steam table too long & that I was just trying to spare them the embarrassment of serving inferior quality food.

Every place has an off night & mistakes are made all the time. What burned me was the arrogance with which it was handled. I wasn't asking for anything special, or any monetary compensation. I began the whole conversation saying "The kitchen may want to know this...." because if it were MY kitchen, I sure would have wanted to.

Anyways, there's plenty of other places that have better food & service without insults, so I don't recommend it.

I personally love it. I have been there once for lunch and twice for dinner and loved it everytime.

This has been a staple in our Disney dining for years. However, our last visit was average at best. For the price, we'll probably be trying somewhere else next time.
