Friend of mine showed me this. And its basically how I feel about the whole Immigration thing.

Thoughts on Immigration from a Teacher's Husband

As you all listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration there are some things that you should be aware of.
My wife is in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socio-economic and
income levels. Most of the schools you are hearing about South Gate High, Bell
Gardens, Huntington Park, etc., where these students are protesting are also Title 1 schools. My wife tells me that 100% of the students in her school and other Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast,
free lunch program. When I say free breakfast I' m not talking a glass of milk and roll... but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten. She estimates that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones.

The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having
family watch their kids. She was ordered to spend $700,000 on her department or risk
losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; her budget was already substantial. She ended up buying new computers for their computer learning center. Half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America.

She has had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less then 3 months who raised so much hell with the
female teachers, calling them "*****"--*****s--and throwing things that the teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, day care etc.. etc.. etc.. Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To my bleeding-heart liberal friends who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for
tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs. Higher insurance, Medical facilities closing, higher medical , more crime , lower standards of education in our
schools , overcrowding, new diseases etc.. etc.. etc.. For me--- I 'll pay more for tomatoes.

We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will leave and return voluntarily?

There are many hardworking Hispanic/American citizens that contribute to our country and many that I consider my true friends. We should encourage and accept those Hispanics who have done it the right and
legal way. It does, however, have everything to do with culture. A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that
refuses to assimilate... and an American culture that has become so weak and politically correct that we don't have the will to do anything about it.

Wake up America!!!

Great post!

It is refreshing that those who are against illegal immigration are called bigots while those who are so philanthropic with their generous endorsement of the American dream for all---only if they can get cheap veggies and cheap labor--hmmm....

slavery or indentured servitude anyone???

"Ordered" to spend $700k even thought there was little Need for Anything?
And this was a Public High School?

Color me doubtful :confused3

Sorry, I'd need to see an actual signature to take this seriously. I'm not saying it is false, but it looks like prime Snopes material to me.

Well said! I would love to see a card required (some sort of non-copyable, maybe electronic coded thing) for things like health care, school, food stamps etc. I have no need for someone who isnt hear legally or even trying to become legal.

But isn't it common practise in all publicly funded organisations to make sure all of this years budget is spent in order to avoid having next year's reduced?

:rolleyes2

I highly doubt it as well. I did love the mention of the weight issue though.

Get a clue!

The biggest backers of illegal immigration are corporate America and the small business owner who wants sympathy because he/she can't make a profit if they pay their roofers, tilers, gardeners, waiters, waitresses, cooks, maids, meat cutters, packers, etc. a living wage.

In addition, the biggest snow job over a guest worker program comes from the WH. Remember Bush's favorite phrase: "Illegal immigrants are doing the jobs Americans just won't do." Americans are not only willing to do those jobs, they already do those jobs. Just not for a bag of rice and a pork chop.

Politics makes strange bedfellows and Bush is sleeping with Ted Kennedy when it comes to amnesty.

And just for the record, I call on many companies in South Florida from Fort Myers to Miami. I have never been treated with anything but respect for "La Signora" by the Hispanics I come in contact with so I highly doubt the assertions you make in your posted email.

Btw, did you get any investment emails from a Nigerian gentleman yet? Keep us posted. ;)

I don't need to see it in writing because I have witnessed excessive abuse of tax payers dollars first hand.

While I was in the Air Force we HAD to spend money on many different items that we did not need or risk losing funding for the following fiscal year.

To the OP, I agree 100% with your post and it seems to me that our country has gotten so weak that we gladly let other people from foreign countries walk all over us in a attempt to be PC.

Im not sure why you feel the need to roll eyes, and doubt that a school budget spent $700,000. That is not the issue at hand. Nor does it affect the rest of the letter, if you take that information out. All that was said was a schools budget was spent, updating computers, that these children vandalized.

I still agree with what he has to say. regardless of whether this was written as a farse or someone's actual words. I agree with the message.

I get so sick of people taking one word of a post and hi-jacking the thread with useless information.

Contribute to the original message at hand, or dont post.

This is a highly racist piece and yet no one seems to care. :( Most are just nodding their heads in agreement.

Oh my goodness.

Saying Illegal Immigrant, isnt defining a race.

Your an illegal immigrant whether you come illegally from Canada, Mexico, or swim over here from France.

Race wasnt mentioned in the article once.

Weren't you the one with that racist crap on your blog? Anyway, it doesn't have to spell out the race for one to know what race the piece is referencing.

Hi hunny :wave2:

Im not a republican. I didnt vote for Bush and cant stand him or his politics. Im not very happy with our gonvernment as a whole right now. Im not really a democrat either. I dont like a defined title.

and if they want to come over here and work the jobs I refuse to? Great. Really helps me out. But they need to be here legally. Thats all im saying.

Actually last paragraph mentions Hispancis positively inferring the rest of the letter is indeed about illegal hispanics.

What is sad--If the letter is 100% true--I don't see how that is racist. It was not derogatory--and it pertained to whatever school the teacher attended. So if the high majority to all of the students were hispanic--well then the letter will sound racist--but does that make it racist?

Race/ethnicity was certainly mentioned in the article, unless you are unaware what "Hispanic" means. And guess what, if the $700K is in doubt (as that would build and fully stock several classrooms, most schools in CA or anywhere don't have an extra $700K lying around for any one department at one school) it certainly puts the authenticity of the entire piece in doubt. Propaganda, pure and simple...and racist at that.
