Thoughts on I-65 through Alabama

We are packed for a weekend trip to Gulf Shores, AL going down I-65. I'm wondering as the hotels in Atlanta fill if evacuees will shift across I-10 and up 65 towards Birmingham and Montgomery.
I would hate to take a room, gas, and create more gridlock when so many have to be there evacuating.
Any thoughts on this?

I'd just check google maps with the traffic and see if it's red. Most likely southbound won't be an issue anyway. Where are you coming from?
