Do we have any thoughts on dessert parties at MK once the nighttime parade starts?
My booking window opens Wednesday & I’m weighing a pre or a post FW party…

I am interested in any thoughts as well! I already had the post party booked for July 20 before the announcement was made about the parade debut. I have no idea if this is now a good thing or a bad thing lol!

Hopefully we’ll get the parade times soon & that will make things a little more clear for us!

Is there a specific dessert party just for the nighttime parade?
I doubt that there will be enough time between the parade and the fireworks for them to clear out the guests from one party and check in the others, especially if there will be a post-fireworks party. IOW, I expect to see a party that encompasses both.

Will you be able to see both the parade and the fireworks from the dessert party location?

No, the party location, unfortunately, is not a great place to watch the parade.
I wish we knew the parade time(s)! That would make planning easier. We’ll know more soon but it’s hard to be patient!

I’m a huge fan of the post-party myself and was wondering the same thing. My trip isn’t until September though, so I’ll be watching the thread for personal experiences. Have to say, that many years ago when Disney had the night time parades, we always opted for the 2nd parade since most people left after the 1st parade and fireworks. That could work out for a post-party timing, maybe?

Now that the parade started I’m curious for personal experiences regarding dessert party and the parade logistics. My reservation window opens soon and I’m not sure which I should get pre or post.

I don’t have personal experience, but I figured out if you do the post-party with the second parade, you will only have 40 minutes to do the party (you get dessert around 10:20 when HEA ends) then find a spot for the parade (which is at 11:00). You will have to try to find a spot among people who have already claimed their one position for HEA and the parade.

For the pre-party, check in (8:30) is around the same time the first parade starts (9:00). You could only really do the pre-party and second parade I believe. Correct me though if I’m wrong and I’m also waiting for personal experiences!

Agree. Pre-party, watch HEA, rush to get a place to watch the second parade. A lot more people than you might think just stay in the hub and on Main Street. I often found the best places for the second parade were in Frontierland because everyone wants to get out fast after.
